Favorite Karzahni form?
His first one (black and gold) was pretty cool, but I find it was slightly cliched. His second one (green and blue) had an original and non edgy color scheme and still looked very intimidating. His third one (set form) felt half-assed to me so I never bought him.
All this because I want to build a G2 Karzahni and I really like Umarak (and he slightly reminds me of Karzahni's second form), but I don't know if I should reuse Umarak as a base for him or if I should use Umarak for something else and build a black and gold Karzahni out of scratch.
Yeah but it most likely wasn't rigged or fucking least it wasn't another black and red mask from BZPower.
Wonder if it will be actually molded. Would be pretty awesome if they used it as a mask for a 2017 winter bad guy/girl
Feel Free to make your own little Lava crabs,or switch out the colors and make other regional crabs! If it's enjoyed enough, I'll make another thing.
Use a brick remover. Then go rework as much as possible in LDD until you get it right.
Hella nice. I was always afraid to use plate hinges for knees but I've stacked them for arms before. I suppose I should give it a try on my stuff.
He's using two per knee. It could work, maybe he could open the joints and use Pledge if he were desperate.
>Is pic related something you can buy as is?
>Or can you build it with a single bonkle fig by excluding and rearranging pieces?
>Or does it require many sets?
Yes, you need 8991, 8998 and 8940
>He's using two per knee. It could work
Yes it could. The joint strength of hinge plates seems to wildly vary from piece-to-piece. So with 4 really strong joints it could be viable. Still though, it's not a connection I'd personally use for anything other than elbows.
It was a life-sized mask competition. Of course the prize wouldn't go to a poorfag with a small selection of pieces or with little more than basic system elements.
Normally, I'd call this LEGO rewarding it's loyal customers, but there were many great and expensive builds that ate shit and nothing more. I don't know the winners and I've no grudge with them, but I don't think they deserved first place. Also, I thought colabs and team efforts weren't allowed.
You know Bricklink? Use that.
Look at other MOCs with skirts. Take inspiration.
If you do use LDD keep Bricklink open both to catalog what you'll want to buy and to check that the parts you're trying to use exist in the colors you're using.
this doesn't look like a standard mata torso
what is it /biog/
I find that every bit of Bionicle G2 art outside of the animations, be it stuff like this or just concept art, just looks really really good. Wish we could have more art like this of various places and things.
The winning mask reminds me of a mix of the Daedric and Falmer Heavy helmets in Skyrim, though the physical thing does look pretty fucking neato. Looked through the winner's gallery of Lego stuff and they even have a fucking Bane mask
Third-place looks like some kind of mask you'd put on a furry bonkle if those are meant to be ears
Rate fisherman Koroki.
And lava krab thing.
Constructive feedback is very helpful.
More pics can be provided if needed.
Sometimes I get all feely over how far this whole thing has came. The hype of last summer was amazing when this picture first surfaced. No one knows how long this reboot will last, but I hope they give it a proper send off. Going out as hype as it came in would be divine.
>tfw I'm excited for new sets but not even a fraction as excited as I was about the first wave
>I hope they give it a proper send off
They already wasted a great opportunity with the GLORIOUS SKULL SQUAD GATTAI so I wouldn't get my expectations too high
What are you talking about?
We did :^)
I'm sorry, but I need to get this off my chest somewhere.
I FUCKING HATE BZPOWER. The elitism is thick enough to cut with a butter knife, and the amount of ignorance paired with their shitty pointless leak policy is suffocating. I can't lurk there for more than five minutes without experiencing an insufferable urge to stick my head in a blender.
That is all.
>Kopaka has Earth Blue (Metru Blue) lower arms. This is the first time CCBS shells have appeared in that color.
>Kopaka's sword uses what looks like the same hilt piece used for Kylo Ren's lightsaber, but with System "longhorn steer" horns instead of the 3.2 mm bars.
>In case anyone still isn't aware, Kopaka and his creature will be packaged as a larger combo set, rather than individually.
To be fair, tires on wheels were not invented in the MU. Plus, the 09 vehicles were Glatorian technology.
>they were even too stupid to make papyrus
Now THAT grinded my gears. I hope that if the Toa go dungeon crawling in 2017 they get proper maps and not stone tablets they need to lug around.
>09 vehicles were Glatorian technology.
This actually bothers me as well.
At the start, Bara Magna was shown as wasteland where biggest technological advancements were fruit slingshots.
Then all of a sudden Mad Max. If Greg bothered to foreshadow it, just a little, I wouldn't be so mad. They just popped out of fucking nowhere
Honestly, yeah. I blame the 08 vehicle hype leaking into the new wave.
Although, if you think of Bara Manga as post apocalyptic, the fact that they have to resort to super primitive weapons because of ammo shortages but they still have cars lying around, it's not that far fetched.
I just wish that the vehicles were more important, and we got a society where everyone settled shit through death races as opposed to gladiator matches.
Imagine if playsets came back with a set that had Tuma riding a huge oil tanker and his Skrall riding little motorcycles.
Even though super clean biomes are corny as fuck, /nospoiler/G2/nospoiler/ I love em. The thought of a region of volcanoes instantly ending into the ocean through a dropoff as far as the eye can see just seems so visually abstract and awesome.
There was no winners in Slizers story line. That's why they ended it so abruptly.
The planet imploded, killing everyone. Bit too dark for kids, and stalemate endings are boring
But then again, they more or less killed off the other four original ones, so I don't know
Speaking of which, where is 2016 going to take place I wonder?
I imagine each Creature is found on its elemental region, but once they and their Toa are together the story has to shift location, like this year.
And surely next year is going to reveal something about Makuta given his mask is the focus.
Are the Toa going to visit where the Great Cataclysm took place? Are they returning to the Ancient City? And is Umarak's box art part of the Jungle Region or is it something else entirely?
Here's the full planet.
It's interesting to see that they tried some minor blending. There's a river going from one to another, the lava is leaking to either side, small part of the city is frozen. ..
I actually hope we do go to a new island that the MoUP rocketed off to, but I honestly don't want it to be Mata Nui. Something similar to the finger islands, just some small barely habitable hunks of rock would be pretty cool.
I'm betting the MoCr is located in a former lair of Makuta's, maybe we'll see more of his backstory through relics and why he loathed his brother so much.
Although it was an awkward set, I quite liked his broadness and the head they created out of Pridak's feet. So I'm gonna say that.
Also, I hated that his mask was retconned into being an ordinary mask that just happened to look like 4 different ones fused together. Would have been cool if it had 4 different mask powers, but they worked slightly erratically and malfunctioned every so often. Would highlight the fact that he's a fuckup craftsman compared to his rival, Artahka.
Come to think of it, I once tried to recreate them in LDD with CCBS parts.
If you want, I think it wouldn't be too hard to reproduce the MU I did years ago, and easily improve it, also.
I got a brand new in box electro slizer for $10 canadian yesterday!
found a guy in my city who has hundreds of old new and used sets for sale. has specific bricks he can get me too. like every lego series ever including bionicles
thinking about trading my bnib roodaka for bnib nui rama and my bnib keetongu for an exo toa
>Inika are decade old next year
Where the fuck did time go? I remember it like yesterday. Going to Legoland for the first (and also last) time, seeing all the cool Lego shit, and then going to the store and seeing these big and bulky Toa with all too familiar names. Holy shit the weapons light up and they have multishot launchers and weird masks.
It was the first time I ever saw those. Needless to say I almost shat my pants and got Nuparu.
Holy shit,Elmer Fudd actually put in positives and isn't whining about the Twans Neon Owenge
It wouldn't be Fire (I'm Europoor, so the line was Slizers to me, though Torch is a pretty great name) without the crotch-head. Also, city and Rock transforms, and Millenium can go from a canister sized dude + (very shitty) motorcycle to a pretty decent titan as a hommage to the original set.
Too bad fuel tanks and concepts like torch like are beat to death.
Thanks for reminding me that they are less than two months form launch and we have no official pics.
allright guys, ive been theorising this for a while now: The mask of ultimate power is actually a variation of the mask of light. Now i know what you are thinking: but the mask of light isnt black red and evil, well no but thats just a ruse to throw us off. when the destined person puts it on it will become golden like the original and with shadow being introduced as an element next year light is probably up next
That's where you're wrong, buddy boy.
Lego magazine has this.
>G2 takes place DURING G1
>The two storylines never cross because they take place on opposite sides of Aqua Magna
>Okoto is Mata Nui's butthole
This island seems the most appropriate. It's between the two regions and distant enough from both and there's a visible structure. Due to it's location it can't be counted as part of either fire or jungle.
Really? You have to ask that? December release, fucking Christmas, Lego's sales would be much better if they'd release the new sets for Christmas, I already heard the Star Wars sets are going to be in shortage for January anyways.
Here is millenia, mostly done by my friend, with a link to the gallery. I remember helping on the legs and feet, but that's it.
Here is Millenia in his basic form, without the motorcycle because... yeah, it's pretty darn horrible.
here is the bike in its worst angle, and you never wanted to see that, but sadly you didn't have the choice.
And here is the titan mode, with a link to the gallery !
Kokori anon here again, I've been questioning if my fisherman should have some sort of weapon, or just stay with the fishing pole, I've experimented for awhile, and asked around, so now I ask you all, /Biog/, should the fisherman be armed? Or is the fishing pole enough?
Forgot picture, fuckin' hell.
Thank you very much, even thought I'm not quite happy with the bike. Maybe one day I'll try to work on it again, I really liked this project.
Thanks, I don't have a flickr, but I do want to make one, so I'll post it here if I do. Use the design if you want, I don't mind it, I didn't even use it since Millenium. Here is another creation of mine you probably have already seen here.
>cracking open the hard Lava Crab shells.
You mean a map mask. Like, Ekimu wanted to sketch a map, but he didn't have a napkin handy, so he made a mask and scratched the map on it with a nail one quiet morning. Then the Mask Burglar broke into his forge and coincidentially stole this mask out of all the others. The toa must find the Mask Burglar and pry the mask off his face. Even though, you know, Ekimu could make another, or carve the map on a tablet that the Mask Burglar wouldn't be intrested in in the first place.
Greg made the story as he went. That is as he went to the company meetings.
It'd be cool if at the end of the 2016 story, they try to fight Makuta and fail like in 2001. It probably won't happen and it'd make the Toa look like pure shit after getting wrecked by skellygrind this year.
Trips confirms nobody cares.
Only good if you plan on actually giving him proper legs.
If you like Pohatu, you'll definitely like Skull Warrior.
Surprisingly neat, imo.
>tfw I somehow became friends with 2 of the mods and still play xbox with them almost daily
>tfw they shit on BZP just as much as I do and just pray that B6 never contacts them again
I remember talking to them on the chat one time and one of them went to BZP just for laughs and was like "Oh shit, (insert B6's name here)'s on! I can't let him see that I'm on or he'll endlessly message me to do things!"
Hey folks, I have some new heresy for you. Still not 100% finished, but what do you think so far?
Sorry for the bad quality, phone can't handle the light.
Calm down Anon, that's...that's a bit much, do you need to lie down?
yknow, it doesn't look awful. The kopaka eye is integrated well, and the connections for the pohatu flanges are smooth. But the gold looks kind of chunky--although its tough to tell with such a poor quality photo. But the general positioning of the additional parts looks--not sloppy, because you've obviously put a lot of effort into getting them symmetrical--kind of thoughtless? The pohatu parts stick out too far, I think, making it more obvious that they've been added it. Still, this is easily the best-done heresy I've seen.
>Would be great if the chest armor and lower armshells wouldn't been reversed.
Forearm shells are supposed to be like that. It's the upper arms' armor add-on that's reversed.
>chest and torso armor are a one piece from now on so people with downs don't fuck it up
You know, I'm surprised that no one has bothered to create living versions of the skullfuckers so far.
Here's my attempt at Slicer.
>fat and green
But on the other hand, he has his own line of action figures!
Anyone remember the little cd-roms that came with the toa-nuva and bohrok-Kal ?
Turns out after some digging , my sister still had all the cd-roms
Oh sweet jesus the nostalgia
Finally "finished" a moc I've been working on for weeks, will deliver pics later. I've got exams today.
>inb4 why post without pics
>it's because I've been up for 14 hours, strung out on amphetamines, and I'll forget otherwise.
Back before I could go on the net, these were the shit when it came to getting info.
Although it confused the fuck out of me when the narrator mentioned the Bahrag, 'cause I didn't know what the name referred to. I thought he just mispronounced Bohrok.
I've got an interesting theory about the 2016 storyline. It gets weird, but bear with me.
Here's the key support:
>the theme for 2016 is "Unity"
Just like 2015's was "Duty," and 2017's will probably be "Destiny."
>The overall g2 storyline seems to mirror the g1 storyline
ie. they Toa arrive, have a villager meet-n-greet, go mask-hunting, get masks, and so on.
>G2's writers have a boner for Golden Age adventure fiction
Especially Burroughs. Dudes arrive in a mysterious location, find they have powers that set them apart from the natives, and go do the Thing of Destiny. The imagery is laden with stuff like planets visible in the night sky, ancient civilizations, skeleton/creepy monster fighting, ARENAS, etc. The fast-paced writing with an emphasis on "what happens" rather than "who it happens to" and somewhat florid prose are a bit more tenuous, but still there.
>Final line of 2015's animations is "their true fate was still waiting deep inside the darkness."
The diction used hints that this may not be a metaphorical darkness they're talking about (were that the case one might expect it to go along the lines of "their fate still lay hidden within/by the darkness.")
>2016's focus is on taming strange monsters in a new location with new enemies
>Umarak's BG shows lush forest backed by a massive, arching wall.
>Netflix series is entitled "JOURNEY to One"
If the G2 storyline truly mirrors that of G1's (albeit sped up), then the Toa are going somewhere new for 2016.
Most people assume that this means the Toa are traveling to a new island, or exploring the Ancient City, but I don't necessarily believe that to be the case.
Firstly, the Ancient City was pretty much played-out in the Skelly Saga. The Toa traveled all through that sumbitch and, frankly, it was pretty damn boring.
Secondly, I don't think that we really want the Toa to go to a new island. Think about it: remember how disappointed you were when G2's setting wasn't Mata Nui? (cont.)
>remember how disappointed you were when G2's setting wasn't Mata Nui?
I'll bet my bottom dollar that the devs do, too. The Toa to traveling to a new island, and having that island NOT be Mata Nui for the second time would just be rehashing that late-2014 disappointment. Too much baggage.
However, to reiterate, the story's gotta move somewhere new to stay fresh.
So, if they can't cross the sea, and there's nowhere new on Okoto to explore, where the hell can they go? What location would have everything we've seen so far of 2016 -- strange landscapes, weird creatures, savage hunters, primeval jungle, where the ballgame really changes?
How about THE CENTER OF THE GODDAMNED PLANET?! (kinda.)
Remember that G2 draws a lot of influence from classic Adventure Pulp. What four settings are archetypal of that genre?
>Alternate Past/Magical World
That's default Bionicle
Again, the default for Bionicle, and already done
Future possibility, but not hinted at
Ekimu arms the Toa with new gear, and they set off from the Ancient City of the surface-world, through G2's equivalent of Mangaia (the Forge), and enter a primeval wilderness below the surface of the island.
This mirrors and INVERTS the progression of G1, gives us a new (and interesting) setting, opens up imaginative possibilities for the IP, ups the stakes, has a literal century of royalty-free inspiration to draw from, and (most importantly) is sick as everlasting fuck.
Ladies and gentlemen, put on your pith helmets and fire up the Iron Mole. We're going to Pellucidar.
I really wonder how 2017 will be design- and function-wise.
Everything we've seen of the Toa so far has been a nod to the original sets, only much more refined and improved.
- gear function for the arms that isn't loose as shit
- dual function weapons
- design elements of the Mata, Nuva and even Mistika/Phantoka
- Rahkshi swivel action
- vastly improved Phantoka combining function
- Nuva symbols
- probably a seventh golden Toa on the horizon with Ekimu
"What? Another "big" star playing at the Arena again? Huh, you'd think Okoto had enough Hammer Flush champions, and after Basher bit the dust, you'd doubt anyone would want to even watch the game."
First half of book 1 is fine, some worldbuilding, names the protectors, etc. Second half is literally just the animations in text form, and suffers for it. Since RotSS wont be based on animations, I have higher hopes for it.
...I never thought of that...fuck, it makes sense...
Like, Matoran live for thousands of years and are stronger than humans, so why bother with a recording medium that rots when you have perfectly good rocks laying about?
Still, what was the point of the "don't know what paper is" rule if they had something that was almost the same thing, just didn't use it as much?
Same BS as the "don't use wheels" thing even though they have round gears stuck on everything.
/biog/, how the fuck do I l2 organize/display bonkles?
as much as I like the leg design on that MOC I fucking hate the heresy to attach the feet when literally tons of legal ways to do so.
If you are asking how to build it, legs and arms are really straightforward, body is an inika torso with a Rahkshi upper body piece stuck on with technic or something, its construction should be fairly obvious.
"To kill such a mighty creature, and not claim the prize?"
"Who in their right mind would leave behind such a priceless object?"
"With the power to control an entire species...I could use it...bring it back to the village...and...and..-"
'Sup /biog/? I come to you bearing an... interesting theory or a collection of them regarding the use of masks in gen 2, because, as of now, there's a lot we don't know about them. Well this aims to tie up a few loose ends on how exactly the masks work.
What if the masks stop the villagers from aging? They provide them with no actual energy, but instead keep their life force from leaking out of them, which keeps them how they are for however long they have on the mask. More powerful masks provide actual energy, and this energy is increased the stronger the mask is. However, the more power in the mask, the harder the shock is when they’re removed. The villagers only have strong enough bodies to support the life preserving masks, but when they lose those, skull spiders go to feed on the leaking energy that the mask kept in, until the host is powerless, allowing the spiders to take full control and use its own energy to fuel the body. The skellies have these masks as well, and use them to keep in the dark energy Grinder gave them. Skull slicer on the other hand, is an example of what happens when a skull spider gets full control.
Toa however, have the golden masks, but when those are removed, they become weaker and weaker due to the sudden drop in power input. The skeletons draining these masks quickens this process. But that’s not it. No, when they were fighting Kulta and he knocked their masks off, they were all very, very weak. That’s because their bodies were used to taking in the golden mask’s power and the drop was absolutely crippling. Also, if you’ll remember back to when they first got their masks, the narrator said they were covered in their element. That was simply the shock of the new amount of power, and their bodies getting used to it, which also allowed for a massive boost in the power they could use. Because they already had their elemental power flowing out of them.
Moving onto the mask makers, we saw what happened with Ekimu, he lost his mask and BAM he was out cold for a long ass time. Not fun stuff. The only reason he survived was because the burial mask kept the small amount of energy inside of him, and when the Toa hit him with elemental powers, it gave him a bit of a recharge, making him awaken. The MoUP is MUCH more powerful than the brother’s legendary masks, so when that was put on, the raw power mutated the host due to the power output. This power output was so great, not only does it leak out of the mask (the flames around it), but when it’s knocked off, it doesn’t stop feeding power and that power destroys fucking everything.
Now I'm not done, there's actually a way this theory could tie into 2016. The golden uniter masks (which were confirmed to be necessary for uniting) are used as a bit of a transfer point, that adds the creature's elemental power to the toa's. With the normal mask, you just have a creature on your back. and that's kinda useless.
There's a bit more to this regarding the Toa's origins, but that's the end of the main theory.
Yep, pretty much.
the Metru Nui Saga was an extended Katabasis; the journey (literally) downward and (figuratively-but-also-literally-in-this-case) inward for the Heroes. It was also a tonal shift from the Toa being agents of order within natural chaos to the Toa being agents of chaos within stagnant order.
If G2 is to mirror G1's progression, it will need a similar downward/inward journey for the heroes.
For the Katabasis-dyad to be complete, the journey must be to the starting point's antithesis.
Since the Toa are starting from the surface-space of stagnation/order/death, their travels must therefore take them to an /inner/-space of renewal/chaos/life.
Ergo, the setting will be a motherfucking subterranean wilderness of awesomeness and also David Innes and/or John Carter perhaps.
Moving on to how (I think) the toa may have been created.
I think the toa were once villagers who tried to wear masks of more than one element out of curiosity, and as a result, were mutated into much larger forms, much like how Makuta was changed when he put on the MoUP. But because these masks are much weaker than the mask of ultimate power, they still kept their sanity, but barely. Ekimu saw these massive ass beings, and their potential to be saviors if needed. So he sent them off to train on separate planets in the hopes they could come back and whup absolute ass when the stars aligned and the toa were sent back (the stars were SUPPOSED to align when their training is done) while also hiding the Golden Masks in case some moron wanted them to do god knows what. However, Ekimu was the only one who knew of how to summon them in the case of an emergency (A.K.A, him dying), and so he created the Prophecy of Heroes, to tell others how the heck to summon them early, and where to go to find their main masks. This is why the Toa carry memories of Ekimu, but also how he can communicate with the toa (a nice added feature he put in before hiding the masks in case the protectors were dumbasses and couldn’t tell the toa where to go.), and why the sacred law of “Don’t make a mask have too much power” was made, because he saw what happened to the Toa-to-be, and the potential damage that could have been caused if it happened again.
Fast forward to Ekimu and Makuta being K.O’d. Makuta still had that lust for power, and so, he took control of the skull spider hoards to bring him the golden masks, due to each one being a potential component of a new MoUP. And so, the toa are summoned, but the vahi generated time shift makes them lose their memories. This is why they’re basically hella buff babies, instead of half competent warriors. I think that about wraps it up though. Thank you for your time anons.
>tfw want to get into making mocs
>only have gen 2 bionicles
>technic sets and other ccbs sets are all to expensive
>too new to bionicle that I don't even know what parts to look for on bricklink
How many years do i have to collect bionicles until i learn how to identify parts to moc with, or even how to build neat sets? Some of the shit in this thread is wonderful, but i can't wrap my mind around it.
Any amount of bending at all damages the socket and sorta squares out it's arch of the socket. if you're using it to support the entire weight of a model like it does if its in the legs, your going to ruin the socket piece, especially the 08 style sockets, which shatter if you so much as look at them the wrong way.
Just collect the sets that are coming out this january anon. They have a ton of different parts and look to be using some custom builds, which might give you more of a feel for how the system works and the things you can do with it.
Well, ldd says you can move them around a little bit, but you're right, I still wouldn't trust the connection to keep the pieces from snapping.
Pay through paypal to individual sellers. Usually a seller will send you a paypal invoice and you pay it then. Parts arrive however they are packaged; smaller parts can be sent in padded envelopes, but to avoid stress marks on kanohi i usually specifically ask for a box.
>how does it work exactly?
This is the page you want. It'll be quicker than waiting or reply's here. http://www.bricklink.com/helpMain.asp
>Do I have to pay through pay pal?
Most stores use paypal, yes.
>Do the pieces arrive in a box or bag?
That's up to the seller, usually it depends on the size of your order. Smaller orders come in bubblewrap padded envelopes, otherwise it goes in a box.
Back in the day I started by mostly doing pallete/shell swaps. Add a few little unique bits onto the basic frame and you have a decent moc for a first try. Theres no need to attempt custom torso and limb designs if you are new. If you do though, I would suggest simply looking at designs from official titan sets anyway.
Keeping things at minifig scale is surprisingly tricky.
I just saw a concept fan art or something of the Kanohi Nui, mask of elemental power. It consisted of the Hau, Kakama and Akaku, so I tried to actually build it. Can't find the original pic tho.
Will redo the paint, I don't like it either
>yknow, it doesn't look awful.
That's something I guess.
>But the gold looks kind of chunky
Will redo the paint
>But the general positioning of the additional parts looks kind of thoughtless?
As mentioned above, the idea of the mask wasn't exactly mine, I should have mentioned that. I liked the concept of the Kanohi Nui tho and figured I'd build my own.
>Still, this is easily the best-done heresy I've seen.
I'm gonna say thank you here
I know it's often cheaper to buy sets on BL as pieces instead of actual sets, but does this apply to larger sets? I imagine the amount of unique lots you have to buy would up the price considerably.
>no nuva tits
It looked better in LDD honestly. But eh, for a few seconds build it's okay. I'll make a more intricate build in the future.
I hope http://shittybionititties.tumblr.com/
will feature my work one day.
No, you're better off buying sets if you're looking at titans. I just pieced out a Muaka & Kane-Ra and buying one as separate bits and bobs costs over $100, while you can buy one complete for about $60.
At first I wanted to give her a swimsuit using a matching bohrok eye but it was sticking out too much for my liking. Same reason she doesn't have an ass.
>hide her dignity
Like two 2x1 black system plates to use as censorship bars?
I've only two small system sets, so my parts selection is rather limited. I'll see what I can do but if someone else wants to try, I won't mind. The build is simple enough that everyone can figure it out, but I could post instructions if people want.
Second of three. Can't wait for the mega combiner.
Also, is anyone seeing the last wave with protector/toa still floating around for full price? Three of the Targets around me has them shelf warming.
>bought Breeze 2.0 for parts
>open it and see this
Is this removable?
Also I'm constructing Grevious and Vader at the moment.
Do you have the sets already? Wow! I didn't know two little arms would interfere even if you folded them away!
How's this one even that shitty?
I like it. Do I just have bad taste?
The walmarts need me don't stock shit for toys. They got like three shipments of the Protectors/Toa when they first came out then never got them again. Half their lego isle is fucking empty most of the time.
>Also, is anyone seeing the last wave with protector/toa still floating around for full price?
Yeah I do, and by full price I mean the inflated yuro prices. Some places have them for cheaper though (basically the same or slightly above the US price), but sadly I never quite managed to accumulate enough money for a bulk order so far, and buying only a few sets at a time just isn't worth it due to shipping.
Problem is, stocks are running low so I can't really stall much longer if I wanna get the first wave. As for the skellies, those are still a far-off dream.
Here's something odd I found, on the right is what I got from a Bricklink order and the left one is the actual piece. should I get a fitting core piece for the "bootleg" 2.0 armor piece?
The first HF sets had a totally different torso piece that had a longer and transparent version of the core. By 2.0 and 2.0 the bootleg designers just said fuck it and used the old hero core mold for a modified 2.0 chest.
So yes, it's a bootleg. This is the official shape of the chestplate that uses the longer hero core.
Looking at Bricklink, the right piece doesn't seem to exist. There is a piece for the exact hole that the armor uses.
However, the official piece it goes into has a different mold.
I didn't realize how fuckhuge the new blades are, until now.
he's fuckin set off by people sayin gay at all, it doesnt even have to be referencing him, and he'll fly off the handle
also he was in a skype group with me and a friend, we said somethin along the lines of, "yo, look at this nigga" he went on another tirade about us being racists and left before anyone told him that most of the group was black, including myself.
and that diaper shit you mentioned, so really not the most pleasant guy ive met.
Are there any Bionicles that use all or mostly transparent parts? That'd look really cool.
>INB4 not ice-themed
My thinking is that since there were dozens-to-hundreds of skellies rezzed from the same graveyard, and the villagers don't seem to discriminate that much, the Skull Warriors were the remains of all different kinds of villagers.
>Aye before the Protectors, Okoto had other defenders.
>These proud warriors roamed the land, defending all corners of the island from threats long lost to the ages.
>Owing no allegiance to any village, but rather to Okoto as a whole, they were known simply as...
>The bow? Yeah, made it myself. Another Hafu original!
in other news, I also finished that piston-leg moc I've been working on.
The Antaricorp Jackrabbit™ Droid comes standard with:
>one (1) multifunction waldo
>one (1) Universal Projectile Accelerator
>one (1) industrial winch complete and ascension-assistance grapnel
"Antaricorp: Buy our shit!"
Kokori anon here!
You were all promised a skull crab.
Sadly I'm lazy as fuck.
So here's a skull crab.
I don't build too often, but I had the chance and threw this guy together.
Also it's possible to shift this guy's body into a more upright position.
You have a bug? What a coincidence!
I, too, have a bug.
Does anyone build in LDD? I need some help. I can't really pop these two together. How can I do that?
And the next one.
This time it's not-so-dead Skull Basher!
Yes, so Lewa can become the first Toa with a dick. Like his neck articulation on his 2015 form, that will cause many complaints. Lewa keeping it classy, always the mostr controversial Toa.
That axel needs to be one longer. You can see that it is one below the other ball joint next to it, ans you want them to be lined up to make that connection.
Also, have you tried the hinge align tool? Probably wont work until you extend the axel but it is useful, mostly
It annoys me that I can't find a good secondary color for Lewa.
All the other Toa have a secondary color that provides contrast to their primary one and is tied to their element. Gali's yellow and now orange have strong ties to Lego's past underwater adventures, Onua and Pohatu look like they're partially made of crystal, Kopaka looks great with his transparent light blue and now dark blue as well, and Tahu's gold (really, it's a secondary color for him at this point) and blue are good additions to his trans orange.
But Lewa? I tried giving his yellow back, and I just didn't like it. So I'm sticking with trans bright green, which looks good, but a bit too bland. It seems designers are aware of that, since Uxar has no bright green at all. Uniter Lewa solves the issue by amping up the silver and adding some lime print, but it feels like an half baked solution. Maybe if he was Metru green instead there would've been a lot more contrast.
So why is it so hard to find a color that looks good with green? Sorry I sound autistic, but this has been bugging me for a while, not just with Bionicle.
Personally I think its fault of the bright green color, the old mata green was much better. This new green is to bright, so its hard to find another color to pair with it that isnt already bright.
Maybe dark brown?
