The Target 3-pack is out. Make sure to price match using this link, because it has the Vision/Ultron/Hulk images with the lower price.

http://www.target.com/p/marvel-avengers-target-exclusive-legends-3-pack-hulk-ultron-and-marvel-s-vision/-/A-15352159

I'm pretty fucking happy with Ultron and Vision (especially since this is fucking 90's Vision and he's semi-translucent) and I'll probably sell Hulk off to my LCS along with some other stuff.

$28.05 is an excellent price for these three. Get 'em while you can price match.

Scarlet spider has them. Spider-Carnage/Ben Reilly as Spiderman probably won't because he has the carnage head and hands.

They will prob include them on all next spideys though. Fems, Venom and the previous guys are fucked though.

Unless you get extra hands and paint them/get them customized.

>>5206625

But the body is still covered in the slimy symbiote, it seems weird to drybrush that. The armor is like a carapace/chitin looking material.

Yeah but now it looks too flat IMO, doesn't look organic. It's probably just stands out like that isolated in the photo. I'm sure on the shelf with everyone else it doesn't stand out and looks awesome.

Because that one was on an outdated body, was in an exclusive wave that wasn't very far spread a, and goes for outrageous prices on the aftermarket.

The Grim Reaper mold would also make another strong reason for a new Mags. It'd be the best body to use.

Remember when we got that awesome Wolverine 2 movie line?? So many great characters and designs from that movie in toy form!

Marvel isnt allowing Hasbro to make shit from the Fox movies, ever since Fox started being a bitch. Fox only gets royalties from toys and other licensed merch IF it comes from their movies. So XMen related characters were never embargoed if they came from the comics.

Really neat how you embargo conspiracy nutjobs are always switching your logic around so it can reconfigure itself whenever something comes up that completely contradicts your bullshit. Which, you know, is consistently happening.

>There's an embargo!
>But there was the Jubilee wave...
>Well, it was only limited release! There's an embargo!
>But now we have mass retail waves with prominent X-figures in them...
>Well, it's not movie related! There's an embargo!

>Well, they weren't 1:12 scale figures, which is all that I care about and will use to justify my claims because evidence only works if it serves my slant only! There's an embargo!

Nevermind the fact that I've always held to the same "theory", which is purely the fact that they're not allowing Fox stuff to be made.
Why else would they release character specific waves to coincede with a Fox movie release, yet feature no movie designs, while featuring many movie characters with other lines that coincide with Sony and Marvel Studio movies?
It's not a coincidence, dude.
>>
>>5209615
Where in your first link does it directly say "we are specifically not allowing Fox movie figures to be made by order of Marvel and Disney with the purposeful intent of harming these brands in a scorched earth policy"? It doesn't. They're saying that one route earns more profit, so that's where they're putting their efforts. Wow, holy crap, it's almost as if officers of a publicly traded company have a fiduciary responsibility to plot courses of action that will yield the highest profits for their shareholders. Oh wait, that's literally exactly a law within the US that all publicly traded companies abide by. You want to trade links? Here's one, chucklefuck:

Or the fact we haven't gotten a single Fox based toy from Hasbro since they told Marvel to fuck off?

Which one of these is you?

>>5209649

Anyway, i'm glad they're holding off from making Daredevil since his superhero suit was pretty ugly. Make his non-costume black thing only after they show off the new suit they'll be using in season 2, which we have been ensured, is going to look muuuch better (not holding breath)

>Geez, so them literally saying they'll try to only release products they get 100% of the royalties isn't enough
No, it's not, because as I said above, there's literally a real legal obligation that makes sure that they do exactly what they're doing. It's not an embargo, it's them fulfilling their obligations towards shareholders. If one product earns the company a higher profit than another, they need to take it because they are answerable to their investors and can be sued.

I can't believe that this is a concept that is escaping your grasp, it's not so incredibly difficult to understand. If you think that it's an embargo, then by your logic the US legal system is putting an embargo against Fox, which is fucking stupid and you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to outsmart somebody who actually knows what they're talking about. Enough of your tinfoil bullshit, it bores me and everyone knows you're a fucking tool who has no idea what they're saying.

Faggot is lying.

About two years ago, Hasbro did a line of X-Men figures BUT it was Toys R Us exclusive AND fucking produced in ultra-limited number.

The BAF Jubilee wave, which we are talking about, was the last X-Men wave we got from Hasbro when the embargo came down. The embargo was also the reason why the line had such a fucking microscopic production run too.

Since then, the Marvel Legend line has been Avengers/Spider-Man/GOTG/Ant Man only shit. The closest X-Men fags have gotten to new figures is the Infinite 3 3/4th line (which Hasbro does not give a fuck about anymore) and a left-over Magik figure they had in inventory that was put in a box set for Comicon.

Rogue is getting a new figure because she's now an Avenger AND because she exists in a nebulous state of affairs, where in theory Marvel COULD use her in Avengers films due to her debuting in the Avengers comics and being created as a Ms Marvel/Avenger villain (see also Sabretooth).

Also the Rogue figure is a brand new figure too, which sucks as they had a perfectly good X-Men Legacy Rogue figure they never released.

I'd love a Marvel Now Magneto. It's my favorite suit, as long as they pick the white one...

Brown suit Wolverine is something I've wanted for a couple years now but I'm not satisfied with Toybiz's mold. He better be short and stocky with that new mold.

I also need a Deadpool, good luck to everyone trying to get that fucker!

Bummed we're not gettin Pheonix Force Cyclops (though they might do one for his Secret Wars costume if we're lucky since they already have a mold...)

Colossus might be good if they do a fuckton of molding, but I'm expecting the new Grim Reaper buck just painted... everywhere....

I know Nightcrawler will look like shit. I'd bet on it.

The rest are interesting, but not really must-buys until we see the final product. I'm already tired of the female molds being repainted, Rogue withstanding until we see retail versions. I have like, 6 of those figures in different colors now.

Embargo, ban, cease, all of these things mean a total top. Disney is shifting focus and letting x-men in less than others. That's not the same as canceling and removing them from toylines. It's worth pointing out when someone suggests one thing and another is clearly happening.

The point is, that if the designs don't come from not-Marvel designs, they don't have to pay royalties. They don't have to label it in any special way, since they're obviously based on the comics versions (where probably not even the original artist gets a royalty)
>>
>>5211509
>What's a better term to describe that if not "embargo?"

an accurate one? They are clearly still making x-men products. Refocus, direction, blah blah, any word that highlights that x-men is not their number one property but still supported. You might (key word might) be able to say there's a lock out on fantastic four. Since fox has both saying fox embargo is going on and we clearly have x-men still, well then that statement is totally wrong.

I don't get why people are like "where the x-men movie toys?!" when we barely got an ultron figure, IM and Cap were both repaints. I mean hasbro is putting in minimal effort on avengers. We're not getting a movie magneto figure before thor one.

>>
>>5211580
That's not how that works.

Chances are when Marvel and Fox drew up the arcane documents that killed the Fantastic Four and made Wolverine a time-traveling zombie (the contract), Marvel got some sort of 'final say' on any and all toy merchandise(and likely most other merchandise) that was sold based on properties it leased to Fox. They likely are losing money every time they tell Hasbro or whoever 'don't make anything' for the movies, but at the same time, the average Fox film has been a nosedive with a few exceptions recently. If Marvel's hurting at all from killing off the lines, they likely only feel it to be a temporary situation until they can get Fox to say 'uncle'.

It's not about people figuring it out, it's about securing trademarks/copyrights. They can't own a trademark for "Beast" in toys, but they can own a trademark for "Marvel's Beast". This isn't fucking rocket science.
>>
>>5212003
That doesnt make sense. His name is not "Marvels Beast" and nobody is calling him that. Theyre just thinking people are going to think of some other character with the name. Its brand narcissism.
>>
>>5212012
>Because Hasbro has been shoring up some of their infrequently-used "common word" names in recent years by adding prefixes (such as "Autobot Tracks" or "Decepticon Frenzy"), fans sometimes mistake this to mean that reclaiming a trademark from another company is as simple as writing a faction name in front of it. This is not true. If it were, then a competitor such as Bandai could release a line of robot toys called "Megazord Transformers" with an "Optimus Prime Zord" toy and get away with it. Hasbro's addition of extra words to these old names is primarily to strengthen the claim to a name that is currently (likely) uncontested and Hasbro is likely to try and use often in the future. It is also the case that the names Hasbro has reinforced in this way are all real English words, not made-up words. Real words are harder to defend as a trademark than nonsense words. Adding nonsense to a real word makes it more defensible, but adding nonsense to somebody else's active trademark is only asking for trouble.

>Based on some of Hasbro's naming choices, it could be argued that the strategy of Hasbro's IP lawyers is somewhat conservative or cautious. They may be able to defend more than they try to defend, but they choose not to take that (potentially expensive) risk.
>>
>>5212016
Nobody is going to make a new character and slap Marvels on it, when everyone knows it isnt. People just make knock offs with the regular name if they want to steal IP from Marvel. Hasbro worries about imaginsry problems, as usual.

> They are clearly still making x-men products
Way to ignore the point of what is actually being embargoed.

Fox can only get royalties from toys based on their creations.
Since Fox only makes movies, only figures based on the movie would ever get Fox royalties.
The comics don't get Fox royalties. The comic characters don't get Fox royalties.
This is why we've only seen XMen comic character designs being made into toys.

>I mean hasbro is putting in minimal effort on avengers.
what bullshit. We saw two lines being made specifically to coincide with the Fox movies. The Wolverine line was almost entirely new sculpts and entirely new molds made (the most expensive part). None of them featured any of Fox's designs, muchless the line titled after the movie (which would also get fox royalties).
Then there was the specially made XMen only wave for specialty shops, again, missing any sign of Fox royalty grabbing.
Two whole chances for Hasbro to stick in any movie character, yet Hasbro got in plenty of movie characters from Avengers 2 into the ML waves that would be released around the time A2 would be out.
Of course, you're completely ignoring these.

So tell me... why are you so willingly ignorant about Fox being embargoed? We have word of mouth from Marvel head honchos outright stating they're not going to make anything from the Fox movies and years of lack of Fox products from toy companies who are buddy buddy with Marvel.
Why are you indenial about this?

CAP and Im were repaints
Ultron and Hulkbuster were BAF
The amazon exclusive figures are..... amazon exclusive, also full of retools and remolds except thor, who I expect will get a later release for his movie anyway.
Ant-man is a separate movie.

that's 1 new molded figure taking up shelf space on store shelves for AoU. They didn't make any other new 6 inch AoU figures for retail release. Do I want x-men in 2.5 inch figures? Fuck no. Do you? Fuck you.

Hasbro is not going to make a line full of x-men movie figures "embargo" or not. THAT's my point. We don't need street clothes 1970's beast or long haired xavier. Wolverine from 2025 might have been interesting, but the character literally lays down the whole movie. Not exactly an exciting thing to recreate.

Lets see if hasbro makes more then 3 Cap:CW molds before going all crazy. I doubt we'll see much going into MCU either.

Don't glue it. That is literally the easiest type of joint to fix.

Just do the screw fix - drill a hole on both sections, cut the head off a screw, screw both sections together = working joint.
>>

Glue's holding for now. Doesn't matter anyway, got a new one coming to me Monday.

If THAT one breaks I'll try your fix, thanks.

It's even more effective with legends, if you do it this way, and dig the broken peg out of the hole.
>>
>>5213140
Is the leg breaking because it's a stuck joint, or is it literally "breaking out of the package"?
>>
>>5213192
Mine had a stuxk left thigh and, like an idiot, I forced it instead of heating it. I got lucky and it just freed up the joint, but I assume that's what everyone posting about their broken Ultrons also had.
>>
>>5212916
>>5212955

Wait, what? Is the broken leg thing a common issue with this figure??
>>
>>5213231
It's something to be aware of. I've seen it mentioned a few times. Pretty similar to the Spider-girls having an issue with their ankle joints. It's rare for MLs but it does happen.
>>
>>5213189
Definitely one way to do it but it can be tedious to get the cavity the right size for the screw head. But yeah, it's just as if not more effective.

>CAP and Im were repaints
It doesn't matter if they're repaints, because they're still using the MOVIE IPs. Did you know that even Marvel still has to pay royalties for Marvel Studios stuff? A fraction of all sales goes to many people involved, such as the director, head artist, actor, producers, etc. So even though they're repaints from a division within their own company, royalties are still going out.

>Hasbro is not going to make a line full of x-men movie figures "embargo" or not.
Oh, so this is your point? Way to ignore that all XMen wave from like two years ago, the box sets, and the fact Hasbro was still doing entire dedicated lines back then.
And you're still ignoring this entire line dedicated exclusively to Age of Ultron. If you hadn't notice, HAsbro has been focusing on cheap kiddy shit (which /toy/ would have loved if this line came out in the 80s, 90s, and even 00s).

But yeah, you're right that RIGHT NOW, Hasbro wouldn't have made an entire line of movie XMen if Fox's crap wasn't being embargoed, except for a line like this.

Nope, because Fox told Marvel to go fuck themselves in 2012, more than a full year for Marvel to tell Hasbro not to make anymore shit from the Fox movies (a toyline usually takes about a year to produce, so its well before the time frame where they would get designs to start making toys).

Remember when we used to get a buttload of awesome toys from the movies? i miss it, if only because we got a shitload of comic designs in them.

Doesn't matter when Fox did anything, only when Marvel did. First signs of the embargo showed up around the time of mid-2014, or the promotional cycle for DOFP. That's when licensing started to get weird and artists started reporting that they weren't allowed to draw F4 characters.

That body is more poseable and just as solid as the body they used for Captain Marvel and the upcoming a Rogue. The one that sucks is the slender body used on Hellcat, Wasp, Medusa and Storm. It's got a never-to-be-fixed problem with the left knee being floppy, and poor range of movement in the torso. It literally never stands right, even on flat-footed characters.
>>
>>5213272
>And you're still ignoring this entire line dedicated exclusively to Age of Ultron

so you DO want 2.5 inch x-men figures? DOFP didnt have the characters. Who would they fill the line with, nixon and the midget?
>>
I bought the 3-Pack Target exclusive that just dropped in my local store. I have to say I'm really underwhelmed cause they all feel cheap as fuck and give off a gross smell like they're made out of crayons or something. Ultron is the only decent thing in the set but I'm just going to return these guys first thing tomorrow. Even if you price match with their online price and get it for $30 they're still not worth it sadly. Wish Hasbro put more love into their figures lately.

Wat?
Are you seriously implying that there were no characters in the movie that could have gotten action figures?
Holy fuck, are you just playing stupid or are you really stupid?
This and your complete disbelief that Hasbro hasn't been purposely ignoring Fox's movies is just too much.

i didn't even watch the movie (because i never cared for the xmen movies, same with wolverine's), but fuck if there aren't at least half a dozen designs from the movie i'd pay good money for.

Also, it'd be neat to get 2.5" scale Sentinels, if they used the comic designs. Hasbro was always good at mixing related comic characters into their movie lines.
I'm not sure if you noticed, but the ML lines containing the A2 characters is rife with comic Avengers and Avenger villains.

Actually, it makes perfectly flawless sense and for some reason, you're injecting your own IMAGINARY scenario into it.

It's an entire fucking cartridge. Why can't you accept that? It's not a bullet, therefore it's NOT flying at super speed, and Ant Man has no problem running across it. The cartridge may be lying on a counter, as it will undoubtedly be displayed in hundreds of homes, completing the diorama.

Conclusion: stop being so autistically close-minded. Keep an open mind and you may see what a creator may have intended, and executed.
