Well, I kinda fixed the shoulders and managed to fuck up the elbows in the process. They only have 45 degrees of non-bone-fracturing movement now, too tired to fix it tonight. Bulked up the bicep area too, but I'm probably going to just replace the whole thing with a swiveling assembly anyway.

So I was in the process of writing some fanfiction crap for Bionicle, and I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in reading it. Nobody ever really reads my shit on BZPower after all, and I don't exactly like the place that much as it is. Plus I like to think that here, I'd get more honest critique which is what I desire most of all.

Obviously any chapters would be placed in a Pastebin before posting so it would barely even clutter the thread up. Of course I can understand if nobody would want me to. It'd just be nice to be able to contribute to both the thread and Bionicle as a whole since I can neither draw nor MOC.

Look at pictures of parts online or in LDD, specifically masks and weapons.
I was inspired to make a whole line of autonomous drone-looking MOCs just from Meltdown's mask. Of course, it only comes in yellow and the yellow clashes with their colors so I'll probably have to replace it, but it did give me the idea. Then from those I got inspiration for a gigantic 2000 part war machine.

But other than that, you kind of just need to wait until inspiration strikes you. You know you've got something when the idea keeps itching at you when you're not working on it.

In the wake of the confusion, a group of Toa find themselves enlisted by a small band of Makuta to track down their former allies gone rogue, who have hidden themselves within Xia. From there, the Toa will find themselves embroiled in a fight for their lives as every second is one of suspense, paranoia and desperation.

However, the main appeal of this story for me is not so much the conspiracy but also the opportunity to partake in some serious world-building of Xia, as well as the place of the Toa in a universe that's falling apart.[/spoiler]

Pretty much, two po-matoran hunt down the makuta (of 2001-3) and this chronicles their journey across Po-Koro.

The appeal is more on the worldbuilding like yours, so we could find some parallels and help each other out with making ours not shit.

Here's the first.
It's my first time building with physical pieces in a long while, so it's a bit more crude than I'd like.

The tool he has is a Le-Matoran tree-gaff. It's a tool used by all Le-Matoran to aid them in climbing, swinging through trees, or any job they need.

While all gaffs have a hook at one end, some Matoran outfit the other with different tools such as prongs, blades, nooses, etc.

This guy went with two hooks for double mobility.

While we're writing fanfics I'd also be somewhat interested in penning one. I don't MOC but I could provide illustrations. It would be very canon (at least to the best of my knowledge) and probably focus on Matoran, for example during the Bohrok War. The Toa would play a part too but only rarely and would be seen as demigods by the protagonists.

Because, Bionicle got cancelled for becoming so unprofitable. Its why the first movie marked them as 'unimportant' when the sequel will most definitely have the same characters as before because people will complain if something isn't like the first. Look at the raining food films and jump street series having the same cast as the first with slight differences. Its those two guy's bread and butter of being able to remake the same film over again.

That moc relies on a lot of parts and multiple of the same set. A lot of creator sets have infinitely more reusablity with a small amount of parts. For example, see if any other bionicle set, using its parts alone, can come up with as many builds that power digger has come up with.

That's more the set's fault, not the system. Bionicle has never had one unified system, the closest being the inika system which lasted a while but was ultimately scrapped in the final year. Bionicle did have the masterbuilder set which could make 14 different models, significantly more impressive than three, and it had those parts tubs in 2004, that were fucking amazing. If TLG combined parts tubs with the CCBS we could have something fucking amazing on our hands.

I think we should try to stick to darker earth colors for the site (Black, brown, purple tan, etc), and maybe the ussal crab could be a bright contrasting color (Orange, Takua blue, etc).
