Can we have a tasteful collection thread?
Look that poor pitful thang right thar. Womerns should have some meat on them bones. Someone get that poor thang a cheeseburger right now.
Implying i care about any of those companies.
Most of this thread is obscure crap. No one here knows what it is.
>but look at how nice it looks!
They are statues as far as i am concerned, and not the good kind of statues.
>its a clusterfuck!
>oh (company X), shit collection
>boring, shit collection
need i go on? collection threads are dead and there is no saving them. no matter what some ass hat or a lot of them will be cunts and ruin the thread. there is no point. the people have their collection set up the way THEY want it, not the way other people want so it will cause a shit storm.
I wanted a visual image of that pleases that person taste.
I understand what you are saying, but it's not like I have trashed somebody else's collection. I agree it would be pointless and should be very personal.
Love that case. I copied your idea though, lol.
Thanks. The room doesn't have THAT much black though. I guess it's just that picture. Here's what the entire room looks like (older picture, I've updated some things obviously).
Probably the best toy version of the character IMO. Couldn't be more pleased with the purchase, even though I paid assrape scalper prices ($45).
Last pic unless someone wants closeups of the shelves.
I'm not 100% sure what the floor is. I think it's some type of old ass tile. When my wife and I moved here over the summer, I painted it grey with garage floor paint, then put a layer of garage floor sealant on it. The original colors of the floor were a mix of burgundy, charcoal, and brown. It was just as hideous as it sounds. I figure the paint on the floor will hold up a year or two until I save up to get the floors redone.
Also, the jet on the flightpose is Shattered Glass Megatron.
I haven't finished putting all my stuff back in the cases yet, but this is what room looks like during the day.
>Also that first display is really jumbled and kind of sad looking.
being this ignorant
wrong, the fact that the shelves are on different levels are what make the display look good you fucking pleb.
also I wish I could get a Robby robot at a dollar store
So spending hundreds of bucks of that exclusive repaint is worth it, but spending 100 dollars on a shelf to display those figures isn't worth it.
Do you display your figures on 20 dollar Wal Mart shelves?
Your logic is confusing me. So you're saying his shadowbox looks bad because Lego things only look good with other Lego things...even though the shadowbox is filled with nothing but Lego things...
I think hes saying that lego figures only look good when displayed in lego displays.
no wonder there's so many posts about not having a GF on this board.reading all the whiny picky and overly opinionated comments,i can only imagine just how crappy it would be to hangout with, much less date some of these people.
That wall bugs me too, but the way it was build makes it damn near impossible to paint even edges unless you're a professional or have really steady hands. I'm neither, so after redoing it about 3 times, I just settled with what's there now.
Typed in "Red Lego Spaceman" into google images about a year ago and found that picture among thousands of other shitty pictures.
Well the answer should be obvious. Tear it down and start over.
I hate to use the term, but it reeks of "hipster." They're most likely modern reproductions of original toys (or even just inspired by them) and it's highly unlikely that anon grew up with him, giving him no emotional connection. They're there simply as shorthand to convey his "vintage" tastes to anyone who might be impressed by it.
I recognize that chick. She has a nice collection overall, and she also makes them. I think that photo was from an interview she did for her own design work... She works at pinterest now.
Her whole house is filled with toys.
