LEGO Store ViP Exclusives
Free Frax' Phoenix Flyer ^£25/€30 until 16th July.
Free Flashback Shredder ^$75 until 20th July
That's what we were hoping, but US is getting
Mini MINI Cooper with $99 purchase and
Chima Worriz Fire Bike with $50
Yeah I know, I just have a list of ~75$ in sets I want to purchase and buying before the promo interest me seems like a waste. I just know the next month after I order will have something cool.
The summer stuff has already been released, so August.
I'm really looking forward to wave 2 even though I haven't finished wave 1 yet. Stores near me don't have Rocka's Stealth Machine, having to build it out of spare parts.
Woo it stands! Next robutt is gonna be a biggun'. I finally got a super solid leg design with full poseability. The hips are still challenging to remove the 'slop' in the gearing. Probly work on the torso next. Skinning it will be the funnest part
So Virginia Brickfair is coming up - anyone been? What can I expect? If I bring some stuff to trade is that allowed?
I managed to get a couple extra Martian Manhunters I wouldn't mind parting with. I saw there are a bunch of cool vendors so I'll definitely be shelling out for some stuff, but is the event mostly MOCs?
you can trade all you want but to sell you need to register as a vendor I think. They had a yard sale segment last year where everyone could mingle sell and trade.
My apologies. I had the new thread cued up and was waiting for the image limit, but I fell asleep at 142/150.
But really, there's no need for me to start every single general. If one needs starting and I'm not around to do it, someone else absolutely should. And if that OP 'fucks up', just post the pasta in one of the first handful of posts, and move on. No need to waste 60 posts complaining that the OP didn't do it "the right way". Everything is awesome etc, etc.
Some of the reviewers get their stuff directly from Lego are paid to review them.
Jang I don't know, since he is a fan reviewer. He may live in Denmark, and may be closer to the source.
Picked up this lot on ebay. My castle forces have just gotten a lot bigger!
Finally added in the Arctic part of Arctic hardsuits. Now I'm building them from the three Flexors and Arctic Snowmobile. Trying to get settled on a design I can 'mass produce', obviously not this one, given it's a spindly nightmare of proportions. But hey, progress.
Went through Brickipedia last night and quickly looked through every theme that was launched during my dark age to see if I really missed out on an anything I would've wanted.
Narrowed it down to 4 sets at first, but 7018 Viking Ship as most of you probably already know is crazy expensive, and all the listings (sticking to Bricklink) for 7773 Tiger Shark Attack were already built.
It might sound stupid but I wanted to actually get the sets in their box and everything - so I could actually build it - which led me to order these two.
I'm sort of excited.
>tfw not enough engineering knowledge, creativity, and resources to build a sharp, plastic waifu
Lego's Community and Events Engagement (CEE) Team looks for reviewers they think would be fit to promote new product and sends new sets to them ahead of release date. They don't send every new set, though (New Elementary for example only got Benny's SPACESHIP from the second movie wave, instead of the entire wave). And at the same time, they don't send everyone the same sets (ie. BZPower and Eurobricks getting the 2014 Chima action figures, but not Brickset).
They're just bricks pal, not rocket science.
>creativity, and resources
Go out and buy 3 or more of the same color mixel and at least 2 legend beast wolf/lion. You wont need all that much creativity because the mixels will give you a solid theme, ice, fire, rock, electric excreta(whatever one you pick) and with the additional ball joints form the wolf/lion you'll have all the resources you'll need for a waifu.
And here is that guide in case you didn't catch it the million other times it was posted. Congratulations you now have no reason to not make a waifu.
>They're just bricks pal, not rocket science.
IDK about you buddy, but I am too fucking retarded to build robutts like you do.
>Now trains.. trains I can do
The majority of my LDD's are shit I see in the real world anyway.
>A train that comes with its own tunnel?
... I am imagining train-wheel tits.
>Still not gonna work. I am not that much of a master builder.
My computer-less, supposedly LEGO-less holiday in Sweden has borne unexpected fruit!
Smaller sets don't seem to have a markup in terms of tax, so I managed to grab perky Gail the Construction Worker and finally cave in on the Power Digger.
Oh, and a Chima polybag. We only get polybags in the UK once in a blue moon. Crug is neat.
Now I can complete the weekly challenge! I used 100% of the parts here too.
Yeesh, every new release of Brickficiency seems to take one step forward and two steps back.
Downloaded the latest version after I was having problems with whatever version I had, and some parts were being imported with "(Not Applicable)" colors, meaning you have to manually go through and select the colors.
0.92 seems to the best right now.
It may not be a robot waifu, but it is a waifu in a robot. That counts for something, right?
I loved it so much that I made my own. Though I think I attached the shoulders differently since your Gail seems to stand lower. Also, the way you attached the axles to the body: pretty sketchy, sis. And I just noticed I switched the legs, whoops.
I got a sudden idea for making "votive torches". Three possibles pieces for the flames here. Thoughts?
My gail is sitting down, on the grey 2x2 plate. Shitty pic of the back enclosed.
Yeah, I'm still confused over how people could think that shop with the obviously crooked logo that nevertheless is supposed to be a photograph could be anything but fake.
I guess people believe what they want to believe.
Hey, I don't believe that it's true either but the pic was supposed to be an early prototype so it's likely that it's a quick mock-up in photoshop rather than a proper photo.
However, the fact that they spelled "separately" wrong, aswell as the lack of the "confidential" stamp that's usually on LEGOs stuff is pretty big indications on that it's fake
Real or fake, I just hope this means we actually get scans of constraction sets when the '15 retailer catalog is released. We've always gotten the short end of the stick while the other themes were given copious fuel to their flames.
The one catalog leak we even got for IFB wave 2 was a third of the page next to the summer Star Wars sets, goodness.
Ultra-Intergalactic-Cybot G Marina Liteyears finally gets her last 3 pieces from Bricklink.
As expected of her design, she can't stand worth shit without support.
Thanks to Target randomly getting another case of series 9, and about 90 minutes of bag feeling, I know have all of 9 plus two extra Chickens and Cyclops.
Feels good, fig.
You will learn soon enough.
(Also fuck this photos is from May, I really need to take a photo of the finished version)
>tfw misfelt beaker for emmy and got second Good and Evil instead of Starlet
Fuck, I keep on getting the next shipping rates even tough I try to keep a big gap for packing materials.
I mean that, like, I want to get the shipping rates for up to 50 gram LEGO, I purchase a little less than 40 and i STILL get the rates for 50-100 gram instead.
Is the database on LEGO weights wrong, or how much weight is people using on packing materials? It's kinda annoying having to pay like 2,50 Euro for shipping when you're buying parts for 2 Euro
>meanwhile, at the seller's house
"I'm not sure if this order, plus the packaging. will fit in the minimum size box, and I really don't feel like weighing it out."
"Meh, I'll just throw it in the bigger box. It's not like I'm the one paying for shipping."
These chicken suits are way more fun than they have any right to be. And I had totally forgotten what the Cyclops head looks like underneath. Late September can't come fast enough.
It's LDD Google it and get it because it's freeeee.
Also new MOC I started the other day.
Thanks - this set sure is fun to try and use all the pieces with.
I have a possibly very stupid question. Do any of you sell your MOCs? Have you ever done a commission piece? If you haven't done either, would you?
I have neither the resources or visualization skills required to create such art and often wondered how I could go about obtaining something specific made from legos. A couple examples could be things like a Firefly class ship like Serenity, or a Mako from ME.
I want to do this, but I know what will happen to my wallet..
>Especially when pic related is 400 pieces
I've been buying a LEGO Movie set every time I go to Wal-Mart and they have one I don't have yet. So far I've got all but the construction mech (disappointed because it's not movie-scaled), Melting Room (not much there, already have Emmett + ROBO SWAT) Bad Cop's Chase (again, not much there), Benny's Spaceship^3, and the Sea Cow.
I want dat fuckin sea cow so bad but I don't think Wal-Mart's gonna get it...
Also tried to recreate some more Serious Sam enemies in LDD.
Also do any of my fellow trainfags have instructions for how to make trucks like this?
>Otherwise I can just fuck around and figure it out on my own.
Question is, this car uses your standard train wheel sets... but their usual housings seem to be missing. Is there another way to stick on train wheels? I've considered sticking the axle through a couple of Technic pins, but it seems like there would be a shitload of slop in something like that.
>how to make trucks like this?
Damn it, forgot pic
>No clue but they should be cleared out in another month or two. I already don't see most of them at stores, only like two or three unique ones.
Eh. I won't die if I don't get Metulberd. Little bro won't die without Unikitty either.
So I reworked the bunny kart another time. I gave up on the mudguard design but I corected some other stuff, it came out sturdier than my last attempt.
I bought a few myself, including some minifigs not part of the series but were cheap anyway. I'm trying to hunt around for a few of them though, I'll be damned if I pay $10 and up scalper prices for some of them.
>I'll be damned if I pay $10 and up scalper prices for some of them.
I'm with you. I'll throw one in my BL if it's a couple bucks, but I asked for the lizard costume guy for Christmas because he was like $7.50
>go to Target on my lunch break
>swing by Lego aisle just for kicks
>Chima, City & DC Super Heroes sets be 50% off
>Battle of Smallville, Gorzan's Gorilla Striker, Worriz' Combat Lair - all half off
>is this real life
>remember that I'm a grown-ass man on an errand
I couldn't leave empty-handed. Just dropped in to pass along the info. Good luck!
Don't worry, I did that once.
>Work in small autoparts shop
>They send me out to get coffee since we're out.
>Fuck Cub, I'm going to fucking Target
>Walk all the way to the back of the store
>Acquire log truck
>Throw log truck in my truck
>Later admit to ass-manager
>He just laughs at me
Since we're nearing the end of a week, may I make a suggestion to keep the weekly challenges monthly? It gives more people time to work on their creations, and would probably generate more than usual.
As for the next challenge, how about a challenge involving a $10-15 dollar set to remake it into whatever you can? It'd be like the Power Digger but at a whole other level. We could use a Chima Beast or a set of 3 Mixels, or some creator set. The Construction Hauler might be pretty fun since for $18 you get 250+ parts
I like the hurried factor. Personally, I preferred single-thread challenges. A month is too long, my short attention span demands constant MOC!
There is an angry Unikitty keychain, if you don't want a $100 set or to pay $25 to some jerk. I also think it's lame they didn't pack in extra pieces to make I AM BECOME DEATH Unikitty.
I am kind of surprised the usual KO outlets in China haven't made movie stuff. They've already got Simpsons KO stuff out, but not movie? I know quality can vary on those bit if some company did $3 Unikittys that had decent face printing and okay plastic quality they'd sell quite easy.
Not that they'd have to lower too far to match the Lego quality on this thing.
>face and eyes are pink
>face on many copies is slightly off-center
>the green stud for the neck doesn't grip as tight as it could, head will probably come off if you turn the neck
This is why I prefer the keychain.
>I am kind of surprised the usual KO outlets in China haven't made movie stuff. They've already got Simpsons KO stuff out, but not movie?
You were saying?
You had to spend money on your lego at some point. But yeah, I can understand not wanting to buy a set for a challenge. How about a "Rebuild any set in your collection into something else" challenge? Bonus points if it's something completely different from the original concept (IE: A Tank from a Spaceship set)
ALL RIGHT IT'S SATURDAY MORNING SOMEWHERE
OFFICIAL LEGO GENERAL WEEKLY THREAD CHALLENGE LIST BEGINS HERE:
>post your ideas for this week's challenge
Build a weapon. Any kind, any make, even out of your imagination. It can be small enough to be handled by a minifig, or big enough to be held in your hand.
Give your weapon a name, and a description of what it is and does, whether or not it's real.
Doesn't have to be CMFs. You could pick a Pirates guy and give him a little pirate house.
I had a similar thought of "make a scene with two minifigs interacting with each other", but I had another idea for "make a scene on a 16x16 baseplate".
I don't know which one to submit as my choice.
Build a mythological creature. Can either have some basis in actual myth, or completely original.
My other half-idea was "Design a defense system against kaiju attacks (attacking kaiju optional)", but >>4281482 pretty much has that base covered.
What, I didn't shit up the thread enough for you?
>... I am imagining train-wheel tits
I felt compelled to try this for you, anon. Although I gave up at trying to attach them to a torso or making them look, ya know, good.
8x8 character vignettes based on your rarest/most expensive/most loved minifig.
Photo cheating is allowed to create depth but keep it to 8x8 or 10x10 as the space constraints encourage creativity (and won't turn into a week long building construction, not that its a bad thing)
Thats what I was shooting for in the overall design.
I don't have a Twitter account but if one of you guys wanna post them then feel free.
Hell, if you want I can also upload the LDD files.
I've no clue how I never thought of this possibility before, but my 'verse will never be the same.
That's pretty bawler dude. We should set these two up on a date some time lol. Also, if you'd like I could send you a link to an LDD for the stand I made for my GLaDOS.
>take any minifigure, and build him a robot buddy
Hey /lg/ I tried reassembling the bricks I got from a garage sale today and got the d high speed train with damaged stickers and a broken lightbulb (7897) and some pieces of the 4512 cargo train. Also pic related, a bunch of random pieces and rails. I think I'm gonna buy the missing pieces from bricklink, but do any of you know where I could get the front sticker of the santa fe? I'm sorry for the shitty pic qualitz but I'm on vacation and my phone has a shitty cam
I just said shitty twice, I must sound like a ten year old.
OK, that's probably enough choices:
>take any minifigure, and build him a robot buddy
>Recreate a historical scene with lego
>create a minifig and make a small (10x10) scene to accompany it
>Rebuild any set into something different using all (most?) of the pieces
>Build a weapon (any scale)
>Build a mythological creature
>Build something train-related
>Make a scene with two minifigs interacting with each other
That's eight candidates. If anyone has a problem with any of these or wants more clarification, post soon, because I'm gonna make a strawpoll later today.
More or less. Something that looks worthy of an impulse buy.
Didn't notice there was already a list with the challenge candidates, that's what I get for replying before going to the bottom of the thread.
Why don't we just make a pastebin of these ideas and put it in the header of every new thread ?
Because then we end up with ten people each doing their own unrelated challenge. This thread will still be around tomorrow, which will be Sunday, which is new challenge day. We can do a strawpoll today, get the results, and have them ready in time for the new challenge thread.
>Please tell me where that image is from, I forget.
>Is it really that important that everyone stick to ONE challenge ?
That is the entire point of the challenge, yes. Everyone goes in with the same limitations and we see what everyone can make while staying inside the bounds of said limitations.
Otherwise it's just "post your MOCs".
Got the Spider-Cycle Chase set recently and god, I hate it when Lego puts dozens of different colors into a set for no real reason.
I can understand stuff like making the various pin-types in different colors so it's easier to see which pins are the friction ones and which the loose ones but this shit here is just ridiculous.
The fuck is up with all those colors
my understanding is that they do that to increase MOC value. in the actual set they're just interior or bottom components you would never see, but if you're going to take the set apart to build something else you'll have colors you might not otherwise have. i like that they do it. it's only a problem for me when a corner or edge is visible through other pieces
Oh, that makes sense. I was thinking it looked like that all over.
http://www.ministickers.nl/ sells reproduction town and train stickers, including the stickers included in the Super Chief/Santa Fe Cars. They also sell stickers for portholes, meaning you don't have to spend $50+ on four window pieces. Be warned that it's based in the Netherlands, so shipping might be a problem.
But there is like literally no better head.
Also LELE The Movie Series 2 Minifigures are out now. I want a Remmet!
I got really late into collecting the minifig series but i have already the whole Simpsons and nearly all of the movie ones, what do you recomend me when getting older series? i will try bricklink but do you guys think is better to get a deal for completed set of a series o figures one by one? any advice would be appreciated, thanks
Try local toy shops or stores that sell other toys as well as Lego. A lot of comic book stores and places that sell Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon cards tend to sell the older minifig series (in my experience anyway).
So a new issue of railbricks came out, and there's an article where they interview two of the set designers for the trains released in the last few years. There's a few things worthy of note:
>Designing sets around Power Functions is hard, don't expect small locomotives any time soon
>They admit the one-piece front in the 2006 passenger train was shit, and that the new piece in the 2014 set is a big improvement
>No intentions to expand on track pieces (Crossings, wider curves, etc) due to market research
>Steam Trains have been tested in the city sets, but don't seem to appeal to the kids as much as Diesel/Electrics
>They'll consider additional train car/locomotive/building sets when the core market (The kids) wants it
>TLG is totally fine with 3rd party bricks/stickers as long as they don't infringe on licenses/their molds
>The two dudes they interviewed want to make a full-on Train theme again, along with a Round House
The one piece front from the 2006 passenger train is beyond shit, it didn't fit thenother bricks which peft a gap, tgere were four fiddly stickers, and even if those were placed perfectly it still looked bootleg. I have four of them in my useless parts bin.
S'okay. Sometimes you can get a decent deal int their clearance aisle.
LG, rate my Badasses From the Future (Bishop and Stryfe)
Stryfe looks okay, Bish need some less girly looking hair.
This hair in black might do it.
If it existed.
it's in a handful of pirates of the Caribbean, lotr and indy sets.
for my bishop i used her hair
Is there any decent chest armor piece in green out there? I want to make a Doom marine but all I can find in green is that Knights armor. I could use the same armor in gray, tan and red if they exist.
I have a helmet picked out, head, torso and legs are easy. I just need armor.
More escapades from my holiday in Sweden - went round my friend's house for her 21st birthday and spied these little fuckers on the table
ALL RIGHT I GIVE UP STRAWPOLL.ME DOESN'T WANT TO WORK WITH MY COMPUTER, SO I CAN'T MAKE THE POLL
>If someone does make a strawpoll, please add "30-40 piece polybag impulse buy" to the list of questions
Karai Bike Escape
Kraang Lab Escape
Shredder's Dragon Bike
Stealth Shell Pursuit
All of them except Leo's are from the first wave of TMNT sets, so if you look around you may find them at discount price. I was lucky and got the shellraiser set at clearance so I just had to get two more sets to complete the group.
Prepare your wallet's anus.
Is this another sdcc thing? Better work out like azog if that's the case.
Also, be prepared for all the adult collectors and plain old scalpers to cry when Lego prioritises children again.
Been working on this for the past couple of days. Still not totally satisfied with the backpack, but it works for now. I also need to make it some kind of melee weapon.
Nice as that is, I doubt much a helmet will fit with that collar in place.
How difficult is it to print custom torso decals, and is it better to go with stickers or watersldie decals? I want to make a number of FPS heroes. Doom if I can find the torso armor(got my eye on one) and Caleb from Blood will start. Caleb I can do with stock parts. But if I want a decent Duke Nukem or Serious Sam I want better torsos. I did find a stock torso which could work as Duke if you don't care that it's not accurate, but if I can just use decals that'll be better.
>Nice as that is, I doubt much a helmet will fit with that collar in place.
The helmets fit fine. The CMF series 7 Space Marine dude, and the Series 9 Space Ogre all use that armor and have a helmet too.
Anyway, that armor exists in dark blue, grey and red, and those are much easier to find.
looks neat. maybe give it a backjet like the Tsugumori.
Tried making one real quick, but the damn thing is so heavy. It's like attaching a whole ship to it.
The problem for him is that the existing helmet that works perfectly with that armor only comes in dark blue (CMF7 Galaxy Patrol) and dark bluish grey (CMF9 Alien Avenger).
Anon, if you go with the Knights' Kingdom II armor, you'll find that it also comes in red and grey. There are motorcycle helmets for all three colors, but any color-matching visors will be in different molds.
Reworked the jetpack, now it folds up for easy storage.
The village looks like ass. It looks nothing like the village I live in. Pic related.
>Just outta curiosity what's the name of that train mod?
>And can you tell me a little about it?
It adds trains that use the vanilla track? Fuck minecarts, yo. Fuck 'em.
I also have another mod called Railcraft that I always keep next to it. It's run by different people, but RC adds all the signal blocks, switches and other fancy shit that benefit relatively realistic railroading. If you play TC without it, you are no brother of mine.
>Railcraft also adds a bunch of fun shit too, like industrial things to use your trains with like car loaders, unloaders and machinery.
So, for Traincraft:
So ends our vidya tangent. Apologies, /toy/. Posting glorious Lego Train to make amends.
Sometimes my kid will take a Lego set from the shelves and just sit on the floor studying the box for 10 minutes... and then I tell her it's too expensive, put it back on the shelves and buy something like this.
Looks neat. You just made a landmate flight pack. Works the same way too.
>It looks like lots fun.
I've had my share of fun with it. My first ever MC railroad was the best, although the worst-looking.
>One day I will render this in Lego. I swear.
I had a whole railyard (where the gray wall is past the bridge) that I could watch over from my tower. It was awesome. My friends thought I was crazy until they kept relying on my railroad to get them home when they got lost in the world.
I will try these too as I'm working on building a modern city of my own.
Can you suggest a similar mod to add small cars and trucks to the game? I tried Flan's Mod, it didn't seem to want to play well with my other mods, and most vehicles for that are huge. I'm also stuck with 1.4.7 as later versions give me problems(namely, the game freezes up at the generating world screen when I try to make a new world, so I'm stuck with the last one that'd run for me), but if it's a good mod likely they'll have a version back that far anyway.
I just want some 1 or 2 block wide cars. Trying to build them out of blocks is horrible, they look like crap. I don't even care if they drive or not, I'm content with decoration.
>Can you suggest a similar mod to add small cars and trucks to the game?
Hate to say I don't know of any. I've been looking for the same shit for when I build the industries my trains serve.
>TFW just finished building 60052's locomotive in LDD
This thing needs a shitload of work to get it to my level...
>2x2 hole in the fucking roof
>The entire roof is just kinda 'meh'
>Cab roof is on a bigass hinge
>No plug-and-play lighting opportunities, have to re-design the mofo
>Where the fuel tank should be, is not one. Just a couple of plates there to look like one.
Its ass end hood is very boring also. Granted the real thing has stickers, but I am tempted to fuck off with the stickers and add ladders and a brake wheel.
6/10 needs work. Is no BNSF GP38, but with a little time and bricklink, it can be. I'll post pics of my re-hash.
>Listening to link related the entire time I built it because its color scheme reminds me of 1206
Opinions? Lego original is on the left, my upgrade is on the right.
I think there's still room in the nose to have another headlight instead of stuffing the second PF lamp somewhere in the body.
Does anyone have a duel track train? Like one that carries military stuff? and if there is an anon here that makes train mocs there's an idea fora new MOC, I for one don't have an interest in making train MOCs
Rebuilt an old set that amazingly mostly survived being in a Bionicle tub that I gave away to a friend in muh dark ages. Unfortunately, one of the missing pieces was the mask and one of the blades broke, but the price for those few pieces is far less than having to buy the entire set. All told, Toa Lhikan & Kikanalo here are about 96% complete, which is a hell of a lot better than I expected.
Everything about this is damn near perfect. Great work, anon.
A teaser image for the new Hobbit sets popped up, but that's about all.
Looks much better. The added details hugely help the aesthetic, especially changing out the door to complete the stripe. Is the windscreen really supposed to be stuck out like that in the instructions?
Guys I'm pretty fucking stoked, just got an old box filed with some of my really old crap in it. A lot of it was bionicle, some of it was mb (including the only fig) and the rest was trash. But i'm fucking hype because it looks like it has all the necessary parts of my all time fav bionicle Rahkshi Lerahk. BRB NOSTALGIA TRIP!
I'm currently playing chicken with my local Target's clearance sets. Experience tells me they'll be marked down once more if they don't sell. Now it's only a matter of making sure I'm there when that happens. Given that they'll likely reset the shelves on Monday or Tuesday, I'm hoping the next reduction will be either this morning or the next. If I can pull it off right, it will be glorious.
That's the plan, yeah. Though I'm thinking about shifting over to 2 Tentros, a Frosticon, and a Snowmobile for the next unit. That way I can work in some blue to offset the sea of orange.
Dude, this is how lego should be done.
I get so fucking hard for correct use of Technic.
I made this guy. He transforms into a Veyron kinda thing.
This vehicle is alt mode.
How about this year everyone makes REALLY FUCKING BIG versions of what they usually make? I would love it if there were fuckable-sized Lego Waifus.
I just visualised hotglue video involving lego, followed by Webm of difficult cleaning
Those two were made by Sheng Yuan not Decool. Quality is not as good.
Here is the newest Decool insert.
>fuckable-sized Lego Waifus
Buddy, have I got the MOC for you.
'And one from the DBZ line that teases some other heroes.
The nostalgia waifu is real. Bet seriously though I'm gonna need to change those arms.
>0 elbow articulation
I refuse to tolerate that limited shit.
>still waiting for my bricklink order of 100+ micro ball-joints to arrive in the mail.
I don't at know what I'm going to do with them all but I figure it's better to have them and not need them rather than need them and not have them. I just wish they'd god damn arrive already, It's almost been 3 weeks and I'm an impatient little shit.
After having a look at it in the magazine, Terabyte's smile reminds me of the troll face meme and I can't unsee it.
The collar is big enough for most helmets, I think only the Galaxy Squad/Alien Conquest ones don´t fit but when you have a specific helmet in mind I or somebody else could test if it fits.
I also think that Lex will get a release next year. The game uses this costume with a printed 1x1 stud on the chest as his standard costume so they probably release him wider, especially since he is something like the main villain.
You know I'm really ok with this at least they sit and watch to see how all this works rather than everyone jumping in right away and shitposting and not even know they are shitposting/unneeded bullshit.
TRU Buy 1 Get 1 40% off on Superheroes, Chima, Star Wars, Disney Princesses, Hobbit this week.
At TRU prices not *that* great a deal but the latest Marvel sets have not been marked up last I saw. Might get X-Men vs Sentinel and the Groot/Rocket Racoon GotG set.
Four hours for me. I had a lot of fun at the brick wall, but unfortunately I went at a bad time for the Build-a-Fig, because most of the parts were ones I already had or didn't want.
Question: Probably more expensive than BL, but hypothetically speaking, since they define a minifig as "five parts", could you just stick 15 heads in a container and count it as your three figs' worth?
I just did that last night. I fucking love doing that.
>could you just stick 15 heads in a container and count it as your three figs' worth
Only if you get a particularly unobservant cashier. There's probably not 15 heads you want in the bins anyway. I can usually barely find 3 I like.
Also, mfw dude threw in an extra 4 lightsabers and a Grievous
Hey /lg/ what is the easiest way to clean lego? I have had a big trash-bag of lego sitting in my garage at my mom and dad's house but they smoke in there and I'm willing to bet that they smell like shit. I'd like it if they did smell like shit. Also before any jumps on my shit about leaving them there I didn't even know they were there. I had lost interest in lego when I was in middle school and high school. So my dad bagged 'em up one day and threw them in there he wanted to give them away to little kids but never got around to it I guess, I thought he did it. But as I've found out they found it in there after some late, LATE, spring/summer cleaning.
So what is the best way to clean lego? what brand of soap and all that thank you in advance.
I'm trying. Torso has omni-directional flex. Needs to be taller. Legs are shorter but hips still giving me trouble.
For BIG hinges, try putting 3 technic 2x1 bricks in a row, with a cross-axle-hole technic brick at the end. Then put a 3-axle with stud end through and use plates or bricks to lock the technic bricks into two pairs.
Two of these make a strong hip with no gear-wiggle. Do you understand? If not I will make instructions.
Failing that, use gears but cancel wiggle with a stick in hole (extend axle from gear with axle extender and then stick a light-sabre or whatever into the end of that and anchor that).
I have built big robots before, but not as beautiful as yours, so fitting these into a sexy booty may be impossible.
44022 uses two ball joints in tandem. It means the leg movement is limited and also the leg contour changes with movement. It is crap really. Also, probs not tough enough for this giant lass.
/lg/ I just went on a ebay sniping spree and bought a few too many bits. I really didn't have this money to spend but I sell on ebay too so I could make a bit of it back. what do you think of the prices?
I think Ima love the batman stuff.
have very little lego atm.
One on the right is just to show the axle type. The legs attach to the orange.
Just ordered Powermech and Powerarmor Lex to combine with CLS-89. Excited to moc a decent sized mech. Pretty cool part was I got a free shipping card from the Lego store because they didn't have these guys in stock, thank you rando Lego worker!
Heres something I cobbled earlier today. Its a Crab Droid from Star Wars.
>. Is the windscreen really supposed to be stuck out like that in the instructions?
No, it has an angled equivalent that I couldn't find in LDD
just uploading my lego shelf, don't mind me.
