Mattel has the license, but I doubt it'll be anything better than Hasbro.

Selling deluxe big dinos at $35+ retail price is a big risk because it takes a lot of shelf space.

I also wonder whether the old school kenner mold also transfer over to mattel. Hasbro definitely had the old school Kenner mold and it'd be a shame if those molds got lost in time

Do you really want to imagine the price of a 1/48 AT-AT that would be taller than a Mega Size Gundam and much longer.

Least I can have a 1/144 AT-AT to use as a mount for the 1/144 Gundam kits.

I estimate between 150 and 250$. The potential Lego set that I hoped and set aside money the last decade for would have probably been twice as expensive so this is th better alternative actually. And I find there is no sense in the 1/48 Snowspeeder and AT-ST if they don't release one.

I want it to sit next to me like a dog, samn the price or if it even fits in a shelf.

1/144 is nice but seeing how Revell re-released their 1/53 one (which sadly is based on the AT-AT being 15 meters tall, not the canonical 22,5 meters) and the 1/72 desk organizer that looks to work perfectly as a toy model it's unbelievable how many film-accurate options with moving legs there are now after years of basically nothing.

They are actually selling real well it's just stores keep overstocking because of how well everything sells. There are still a lot of people that buy the 3.75, many people prefer that scale. Quality is that lose/lose they have hit where prices have risen and 3rd world countries for cheap labor are getting harder to come by, thus they went with QC issues and the like rather than a 50% price hike.

I'm pretty sure Glyos is still in full-on homage mode. I was hoping that died wtih 2016, but looks like we'll have to suffer through another year of over-painted weird homages because that's what the creators think is "fresh" and "new". Oh well. Just cherry-pick the shit you can live with and leave the rest.

I gave Kreo a chance, I really did, but all their stuff was so...bad. Just low quality with poor builds. Except /maybe/ the combiners, but even then fans have done worlds better. I know it's Hasbro, but I wish they would strike a deal for Transformers brick licensing with either Lego or Mega (preferably Mega). GI Joe, too. It'll never happen, obviously, but a boy can dream.

Kre-O is good at the discount prices you can get it for now. Movie Prime is actually a very nice set too and the large Bumblebee set isn't bad either. Megatron has a nice truck but the robot needs work. I liked Devastator a lot even if the small robot modes are poor.

The big flaw with the robots were those odd off-center limbs in the first sets. The later sets had proper limbs.

GI Joe was okay. Battleship is good for parts.

Kreons are better than minifigs ON PAPER but in practice Hasbro was too cheap to use a decent grade of plastic. They were too easily damaged at even the factory level during assembly.
