I recently got into collecting 80's and 90's toys. I've joined a few local communities and been a prospect on a few auctions but only bought one yet (a very nice Jurassic Park MOC) as I'm picky.
Anyway one thing I've come across several times is that some sellers are kind of shifty and vague in their descriptions. They'll write things like "in excellent conditions, few minor scratches/parts missing" and you'll really have to really work to get a straight answer and photos that show exactly the extent of the damage and which parts are missing.
I was looking into a Dino Riders auction for instance and only after a dozen of messages back and forth was I informed that there was a piece that was snapped off. Another Dino Riders toy was described as being mostly complete but had 50% stuff missing. Shit like this pisses me off.
Are they being intentionally vague or are they just too dumb to give a full account of what they are selling?
>>6314696
They probably intended to be vague in hopes of snaring a rube.
>>6314696
Dino riders sellers are the worst at this. True, there are a million easily broken parts and some sellers with grown kids who are "cleaning out the attic" won't have a clue- but in the Year of Google 2017 there's no excuse. You're being duped by sellers who are deliberately vague to offload their shit. The items in good condition sell fast, Buy-It-Now for 20% more than you'd like to pay, and they just say "look at the pictures, what you see is what you get."
You chose the wrong brand if you want care-free purchases. I've been burned by them all.
Still, Dino Riders is the fucking shit and it's worth taking your time to build a good collection. Good luck.
>>6314706
>>6314707
Guess my bullshit radar is working then. I totally understand that complete sets are hard to come by and have no problem with people selling incomplete ones as long as they are upfront about exactly what they are selling. Dino-Riders are great though, love everything about them. Thanks.
I want to run a real giveaway /toy/. Something fun, and something with some neat rewards. Something that will bring a modicum of 'fun' back to this board.
Tell me what you think about it, and I will gauge my decisions on your thoughts.
I'm dead serious. I want to try an inject a little more life here. No strings attached.
these vultures don't deserve fun or happiness
>>6312751
Including yourself?
>>6312756
Yes.
How did you guys go with the sales the other day? Anyone get any horde troopers or these guys? Is he-man.org down at the moment?
>>6312579
Seems like the Org has been hacked.
I missed the troopers but I hot some on backorder (whatever that really means)
Also got two Skelcons and General Sunder coming to me.
Missed all the good stuff but fuck Mattel shop. During one of the previous sales I managed to order the horde bot 3 pack and some other stuff. They delayed shipping for 3 weeks (while Matty had a similar sale) and then cancelled my order. Crooks and bastards.
>>6312991
And then they somehow had a few in stock on monday, and now on "backorder"...Damn I hate Mattel.
Anyone Preordered SOC Voltron from KirinHobby before?
I want to have 1 SOC GX-72 Megazord ( still GX-72 but with Megazord Box Art )
Wonder if KirinHobby stocks is Daizyujin or Megazord Box Art
Seems like Amazon close preorder for GX-72, do you guys know any others place i can preorder GX-72 Megazord?
>>6310843
Is the boxart really that much of a problem for you? I just want the thing inside the box.
>>6310846
I like Megazord box art more than Daizyujin box art.
That's why i asked......
Why not ask Kirin Hobby themselves you autist?
Curious how anons reacts to the cut swivel only hip and knees.

I thought Revoltech related official websites were all dead, scattered around but I guess Kenelephant has the SciFi Revo one active for the current lineups.
http://tokusatsurevoltech.com/
And Vulcanlog too why not
http://union-creative.jp/category/uc/vulcanlog/
>>6309701
Are revoltech toys difficult/expressive to get if you don't preorder?
>>6309715
They are expressive lol. The recent Marvel ones you should pre-order they tend to sell out. But also likely to reissue. The companies are taking an approach of not keeping unsold stock. Unlikely to drop in prices.
You should try to get them when they come out.
Vulcanlogs used to get discounted as they overproduced them, but that might change, for example with the Monster Hunter series ones.
The knees are good, better range than i was expecting.
Where are these on sale? Also what happened to hagen no zista? seems like theyve stopped doing figures and instead just do collectable cards or something

Silly anon, yes it does.
It just gives you that electric effect and nothing else.
Nothing. Else.

What's the exclusive this year? Is it any good?
>>6311727
just a buildable R2 in the OP
nah
>>6311730
I've seen that elsewhere haven't I?
It's been released before?
Why has Lego cheaped out on this every year?
Saw it mentioned on another thread and its been a while since we had one of this, even though the line is not in its best time.
Panoramation disscusion included, what figures you have? What you want? What you can't afford?
It's a shame that the Panoramation weren't a tad bigger, but I guess that would make the diorama aspect of the figures way too big.
I'm just waiting for the GT V3 Dragon Shiryu to come out in OCE colors. I just got the Seiya V3 in OCE and its amazing.
I wish bandai would improve the base EX body like GT did.
>>6308197
wish they made more of the not Gold or hero guys
Always wonder about those Silver Knights that get rekt halfway into the show, and the bronze ones you never get to see
>>6308293
The shame is that the line is kinda expensive at times, taking into account that the figures don't have removable armor or diecast.
But they are fine as diorama driven figures.
For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

This big
Alright /toy/
give me your best Armored Girls
Mythic Legions has some cool ones.
If it wouldn't take a year to get here I would be all over this one.
The TVC 3.75" Fans Choice poll is up:
http://www.starwars.com/news/vote-now-for-the-next-3-75-inch-star-wars-vintage-collection-figure
Ben Skywalker isn't included thank god.
Your options are:
-Doctor Aphra
-Yak Face
-Arc Trooper Fives
-Sim Aloo
-ROTJ Emperor
-Ahsoka Rebels
No idea who Aphra even is, from some nu Canon comic.
Ahsoka would likely get a figure anyway so I'm in no rush for her.
Sim Aloo is the best choice but Yak Face has at least some chance of winning.
Go Vote.
In Other news the 6" 40th Anniversary Wave 2 has been found in some stores in the US. This includes C3-PO, Tusken Raider, Jawa, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper and Death Star Commander.
Let's try and not argue about the movies this time.

Are all Star Wars fans really this "special snowflake" about their character choices? Just give me a fucking Boba Fett or some shit.
Does anyone own these model kits? If so, how do I get them, and do you have any pictures?
These things are so hard to find anything on they make the Dimension Divers kits look like the god damn figma.
That would make for a cool SA-X just because of how spooky it looks with those weird ass proportions
>>6304535
Those are the Dimension Diver kits, you shitlord.
>>6304582
No they aren't you fagtastic crunch, those are the curtain call kits.
These are the DD kits.
