I finally took down MP10 to repose him with the various MP carbots I've picked up in the last year or so, and man, he hasn't really aged well. Is there a 3P version that's the same size and look, just... with a little more modern engineering?

so this is a little off topic, but it seems like transformers is the really the only toy community that has a 3rd party scene...kinda unique, isn't it?

other lines can license their brand to other manufacturers and stuff, but it's still not quite the same.

Technically the best one is Figures but it's expensive and doesn't have weathering. for a lack of weathering you're better off getting the Bandai kit. Black Series is good but you'll probably end up paying scalper prices.

I'd mess with the minifigs in my brother's lego dioramas but he'd probably kill me.

Oh fuck, I had this Bilbo, got him in box from a thrift shop. I ended up getting rid of him because I didn't really want an elderly bilbo action figure, but I kept the barrel for my donkey kong vinyl.

They should make more LOTR toys (besides Lego), although I guess they have no reason to now.

They're not currently in production outside of the Collector's Club subscription. BigBadToyStore has some of last year's 50th Toys R Us/BBTS shared exclusive 2-packs at jacked-up prices.

Yeah it's a niche/dead franchise now. If you want some cheap and easily available military toys for the kid to play with there's still TRU's True Heroes and Lanard CORPS...but they are just not as good as Joes.
