I find it hilarious that this figure really only looks good from one or two very specific angles with the camera at the right height. Good job MMC.

Didn't found any 'toy identification general' so made a new thread
I got few weird but rather interestig toys in a thrift store lately. No idea what they could be and google is no help given they lack any helpfull markings. No idea if any of them are part of any series, some bootlegs or just some random chineese crap.
First is this translucent hard plastic warrior figure. It does look vaguely japanese but it doesn't resemble any series i heard about.

View from the side.

I live in Australia and am about to go on holiday to Korea (Seoul), Netherlands (Rotterdam), France (Paris) and UK (London).

Are there any toys you recommend I should get from those countries? I like a huge range of different toys.

Currently my only plan is to get Turning Mecard toys from korea.

Also is there any specific toy shop you would recommend from those cities?

Biklonz from Korea, even if you don't like them you can bring them back and sell them for a pretty penny.

Heavy smoker here, I smoke cigarettes (around 5~6 per night) in my room, filled with my favorite action figures. Are there any harm to them other than the smell? Does the smell come off easily, if I decide to sell them?

>>
>>6379421
Well aside from the slight yellowing, the smell isn't something you can get off overnight
>>
The smell is one of the hardest to remove smells possible.

It's not just "a smell" it's the tar binding itself to the material

Hey there, looking for some info on playmobil products. I recently bought the new ghost busters sets. And it has reignited a desire for my wife to own the original playmobil Victorian mansion. Now the only problem is this thing is a pretty penny, and seems to have been retired. would any of you fine folks have some info if there are any alternatives to the original, possibly a remold of the set? Or even If there are better avenues then Fleabay?

Give me a moment to pull out some of my old playmobil links and see if those archives got any matches. My sister has that thing up in our grandparents attic still, so have some fond memories of that thing.
>>
>>6373785
Alright to start with you got a variety of victorian mansions from playmobil. You got the Large Victorian Dollhouse which is product 5300, there is the Small Victorian DOllhouse, number 5305, then there is the floor extension number 7411. That house you posted? It is the Small Dollhouse with either a floor extension, or a second house of some kind to give it the extra story.

For more modern victorian houses you got the Grande Mansion 5301 or the Large Grande Mansion 5302 and each has a floor extension option sold, 7776 and 7483 respectively. Personally I feel they are a bit too modern looking and lack that quaint vintage look of the original ones which are actually set in victorian times while these newer ones are set in modern times. Also I think only 5301 could be considered a true remold, but it is lacking the patio or sunroom of the older ones. There is a site that lists what sets various parts come in and it looks like the grand large mansion is mostly completely new.

I would like to point something out to put the prices into perspective to you guys. The Large Grand Mansion retailed for nearly $200. So that being said my opinion on the matter is that listings on ebay of a old Victorian large mansion for like $200-$300 is not that bad of a deal if the listing comes with all the extra stuff like the family, various room sets and so on. All those furnishings came in their own separate room packs so bear that in mind when it comes to value of the deal.

hope this helps at all. I apologize for wall of text, I like being thorough in the research.

I just thought of a cool design idea for Weather Report (stand)'s SAS and what he could potentially come with if they ever made it.

Since we rarely see it fully (aka, from the waist down), I thought that something cool for it would be that it starts solid from the head and down to it's hands, but starts gradually going from solid to clear plastic as it gets to it's feet.

As for accessories, I'd imagine it coming with lots of cloud attachments obviously, some of the blood spike spires, and a few snail attachments.

Thoughts?

Is this figure worth getting if I'm a big Guyver fan and I missed out on Guyver I? I really like Guyver II-F's design but I don't know if the figure is very good or not.
36 posts and 13 images submitted.
>>
I'm more on the fence for Guyver 3. Cooler design, but a senseless fucking price-hike over the others.
>>
>>6371091
They're out of scale with each other, or at least 2 is. So maybe not the best if you want to get all 3, but the first Guyver Figma is decent for $40. Sculpt is a little mushy and they changed the profile of the face from the original design but it wasn't very noteworthy and only real Guyver nerds pointed it out in the first place.
>>
If you're getting it for a good price (which I still think IIF is pretty cheap) then it's well worth buying. The only issue worth mentioning is the shoulders like to pop out if you raise them too high. Otherwise it's superior to Guyver I in terms of paint. Much cleaner and consistent paint job with line detail rather than a messy as fuck wash that looked terrible on some Guyver I and ok on others. The chest cannon (forget the name off hand) is also handled better by being two separate interchangeable pieces that look more seamless and also connect with a stronger connection than the first one which liked to pop out. The hip armor stuff actually being movable rather than soft plastic means you need to worry less about stressing out the area in wide stances.

I think you'll be happy. It's an upgrade over Guyver I and just a good figure in general.

ok /toy/, you get magically transported to a Toy Store like Kay-Bee, Toys R Us, FAO Scwartz, etc... at any point int time in the last 30-40 years with $100 in your pocket. You cant leave the store until you've spent your $100 and then you are mystically returned again to the present day.

With all dem mint in box toys what do you buy?
