Hi /toy/, I was wondering where I could find mini arcade machines similar to these
There are two candy tins, one for Pac-man and one for Space Invaders. There were some Hallmark ornaments a few years back, but they're stupid expensive at this point.
Your best option is >>5102565 where they have a mega of tons of paper arcade cabinets.
>>5301402
Okay, thanks.
I have the Hallmark ornament arcade machine that makes sounds. Its the Galaga one. It doesnt scale well with my toys so Im probably going to sell it for $26 plus shipping.
who has the first gokin krang is it any good?
are you looking forward to shredder?
>>5299996
Krang is good except for the stupid hands (soft rubbery plastic). I'm definitely picking that Shredder.
Krange is awesome. Looks incredible. Hips articulation is limited and while the hands LOOK amazing, the soft rubber is annoying. I'd still recommend it to anyone. Probably skip shredder though. Too tall.
DAT KRANG
The Mezco Lawmaster is up for preorder, $125. Mezco's site states a March/April release, will surely be pushed back.
>>5289365
>standard Dredd: $65
>standard lawmaster: $125
>PX Dredd: $70
>PX Dredd & Lawmaster set: $260
How in the fuck?
>>5289389
Maybe the combined set was solicited at the wrong price?
Looks cool. I'm getting both brand's bikes, because lord knows it'll probably be another decade before we get similar love for Dredd.
ITT: That toy you always wanted as a kid but never got.
Do you have it now?
Not really interested in MMPR anymore so no I don't have it now
This motherfucker.
Finally got the Platinum reissue and my collection feels more complete.
Dinoriders Brontosaurus was what I always grew up wanting. Now I own it. And you?
So what are some genuinely good 5POA action figures?
Myself I'm fond of Kenner's old Aliens figures, especially the Mantis Alien. The sculpting is absolutely top notch and they're posed in such a way that they look good just standing still.
>>5302001
>because if a figure is 5poa its gotta fucking cheap!
Exactly. Hasbro's new 5POA figures are extremley cheap and they've got excellent sculpting.
>still have a bunch of Kenner Aliens figures
>including some of the transparent mail-away "invisible" predators
>one of the invisipreds has been painted with Apple Barrel acrylic paint from the time when I decided that I didn't need so many invisible Predators
Goddamn I loved that line. I wonder if I still have the Queen Hive playset.

goddamn chrisjin/greg
ran out of shit to eat again?
Wondering if anyone has given in and bought anything from the new range and if anyone tried customizing the stuff? Seems pretty cheap and nasty to me so interested in seeing any successes.
Star Wars General has been pretty pleased with the 6" Black Series figures.
>>>5288734
I only buy the superior S. H. Figuarts because they meet my high quality standards.
Star Wars is shit. They keep expecting us to buy the same characters over and over again for 30 years, and now it looks like they're angling for another 30 years of the same. At this point it feels like I'd be buying Arctic Armor Batman figures. I don't care how "nice" the Black Series is, it'll be PotF2 in no time so what's the point in even buying any.
>those states
what'd you assholes do this time.
>>5289283
It might be the laws of those states are unfavorable to the business, what company?
>>5289287
https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/
>>5289287
it states right there that they've had a higher than acceptable number of fraudulent purchases from those areas, that's why they're doing this.
Hey /toy/, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I bought this Pyramid Head figma back in July at a con for about 50 bucks and it's been a really good figure so far but just today his arm snapped off. My bet is that one of my younger cousins found him and broke it. My question is, is this an easy fix? I've never really had any of my expensive figures break on me like this.
>>5304140
Just ask GSC for a replacement.
>>5304155
.... don't do this.
It isn't an easy fix, but you could look up how to pin the joint (google figma joint pin fix)
>>5304140
>is this an easy fix
Yes and no.
Yes, in that any rube can slap super glue onto the broken area and never use it again to keep it in place.
No in that, even with proper pinning and tons of preventative care, the joint will always be useless because it will have a fundamental flaw that will re-emerge with enough movement. It's gone, dead, broken, finished.
Don't bother fixing it. Replace it. If somebody says "pin it", ignore them because they're just spouting regurgitated bullshit and have never done custom work in their lives. Otherwise they'd know how stupid it is to suggest doing that.
Thoughts on The Loyal Subjects?
Funko Pop knock off
Boring. Nice style, but no play value.
Fun toys, I love that they have a rather impressive amount of articulation to them for what they are. I'll definetly buy more of the TMNT.
I do a lot of modifications, but I don't make from scratch personally. You might check the Customs thread currently running, and the Gunpla and Scale Models threads are probably decent resources as well.
When I was big into Medabots I made some of the Rubberrobo bots in cold porcelain. Used lollipop sticks for the joints.
Didn't keep them because "i no need no toys m'lady" phase.
Sup /toy/,
I finally gave in and bought my first Figma. I've wanted this thing since I first saw it but could never justify the purchase. A while back I got a pretty sweet tax refund and decided to take the plunge. It just came in the mail and it's great, but I have two problems. Picture related. It's not my own picture, but my phone is being a shit so I just grabbed one off Google to illustrate the problems.
First off, I can't get her ear covers off, even though they're supposed to be replacable.
Second, the lower part of her waist joint (where it connects to her hips) seems completely locked. And it's not even locked in neutral position, but in eternal hip sway mode. All the other joints are fine, but this one looks like it was tilted to the side too far and got stuck.
It's a brand new out-of-the-box figurine. Are these kind of problems normal? Also, what would be the best way to fix these things? I could try to force them in the hope they'll be ok when I loosen them once, but I'm fucking terrified I'll break the fucking thing in half with my giant meat hands.
Please help a poor noob.
>>5301888
Drossel looks so gross why did you buy this lmao!
Be very careful with it, but sometimes these things do happen. I think you can pop out the middle joint, try working it a little. Same with ears, but again no hamhanding.
All right, I managed to get her ear covers off with some brute force, but her hips still won't budge. I wish I had tiny hands, I feel this shit would be a lot easier.
I just know I'm going to end up obsessing over this, use more force than necessary, and wreck the entire figurine.
I'm tired of Fwoosh reviews. It's all or samples & glossed over problems.
What are some better tiy review sites?
>>5301111
They don't call him terror claws for nuttin'
>>5301107
I really need to learn to proofread.
>>5301107
Most sites dedicated to toy reviews are going going to gloss over problems and make the toy seem better than it is.
These places rely on product samples to stay in business and there for are reluctant to give poor or honest reviews for fear that their free toy supply will be cut off.
There are some truly fan generated reviews but they are generally poor quality and hard to find.
If you watch video reviews I recommend watching them with the sound turned off and actually LOOK at whats happening with the toy to identify any issues with it.
Old Thread: >>5298212
Why has Transformers had so few crossovers edition?
I'd love to see a transformer crossover with a lot of 80's properties. Imagine an Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, the Delorean from Back to the Future, maybe some of the classic Cobra tanks from GI Joe as Decepticons, and other stuff. Thundercats tank Autobot, anyone? Etc.
Other than that, Bruticus when, /toy/? He's gotta be hitting those store shelves soon, right?
>>5301079
Bruticus will be on shelves mid December
UW won't be till mid summer at the current rate
1) Hasbro needs the license. You aren't getting half that stuff otherwise. Even with the license, the licensor has to go along with it.
2) Certain properties like GI Joe are hard to sell international, if at all. Joe barely lives in the US as it is.
3) If Tomy doesn't want to mess with it then Hasbro handles it on their end without help, and we've seen how "well" Marvel and SW were designed compared to normal TFs. Very few of them were regarded well- only 2 I liked were Captain America/Hummer and Vader/Death Star and a lot of them were borderline terrible.
>>5301079
im thinking about just getting hasbros because of money (need a new car) and takaras being so far away. idk i might end up getting both.
Daily reminder that Hasbro is a wonderful company that brings art and culture to children everywhere for affordable prices.
>>5300377
That's a pretty good likeness. I like it.
>>5300380
Go away Chris. You obviously can't appreciate the high calibre of art and culture that Hasbro brings to the toy market with their wonderful 5POA 6" figures.
>>5300390
Calm down, Chris. I know you're tsundere for Hasbro but there's no need to be so angry. But if you're a good boy and stop eating shit for a month, then maybe Santa will bring you that 6" Jesus action figure you've always wanted.

I wanted to do that initially and couldn't, which is why I'd asked about alternate gimmicks earlier. Boots with wheels actually inside of them can be an effort to pull off, and at the size this lady is at it can't really be done in a way that looks good without taking up too much space.
>>5298816
I was thinking of making lots of swappable parts for different football positions actually. In any case, it'd be fun, but it'd also have the big disadvantage of being less feasible- when I actually build something I'd like some variety and not to have too much to buy at once.
>>5298819
Please no. Generic grey greeblefests are no fun, and besides that "western" mecha as you seem to put it seems like boring Battletech or other generic dime-a-dozen American junk. If you have to indulge your reelism and want combat robots at least do Dougram or Robot Jox or anything that isn't so boring.
Plus, where's the fun? I just don't get reelism anymore. Go nuts, don't just make some boring military blob.
Giant Robo is great, by the way.
I mentioned Dougram because BT owes its existence to it, but there's plenty of "real" robot anime and the like, e.g. VOTOMS, M3, any random Gundam, or other stuff.
In any case real/super is a silly and inaccurate monkier. Robots should just be robots. Putting any thought into it besides light justification and "because it's cool" is going to start problems.

you should post toy gifs and not take up the image limit with shit cartoons that don't belong here, degenerate
