This beautiful bastard came in the mail today. I ended up getting the exclusive with the Lassiter laser and an extra head that qmx didn't tell anyone about but I'm really glad they did. The one in my picture is the second head, which is much better than the rosy cheeked first head that was on Mal.
Anyone else pick this up or want to talk any other new 1/6 figures?
Rosy cheeked first head with note from qmx

Can anyone with this figure tell me how the line is and how the figure is?
>>5382466
terrible waist but probably the best figure of that character
>>5382466
The only legends i have are Scarlet Spider and Machine Man, but i found Scarlet Spider to be a pretty neat figure. He has plenty of articulation and swappable hands, so you he's great to pose. They also did a great job incorporating the logo design onto the ab crunch, so when you lean him back or forward his logo doesn't have a weird missing gap in it.
Only real complaints would be the lack of articulation at the base of the neck, some of the joints being a bit stiff and mine had a weird smudge of miscast plastic on one of the arms.
But yeah, all in all not a bad figure.
>>5382466
His head is well sculpted, really evokes the right feeling of Scarlet Spider. The eyes unfortunately have an ugly black outline, they should have none at all. The hood and drawstrings are a pretty lazy/ugly sculpt, and they didn't bother to sculpt torn edges where the sleeves were ripped off his hoodie. The base body they used is generally pretty solid, I'd recommend it.
Overall, it's a decent figure that could have been done better. But it's at least better than the old Spiderman Classics one, and cheaper too, so this is the one to buy.
Do you own or know any toys that are pretty much a commercial for other brands.
>>5381928
>90% of the toys being talked about in this board are licensed toys
What do you think?
Though if you mean shit as blatant as that, I don't know.
Transformers movie lines are those. Especially the military grade vehicles.
>>5381956
>>5381984
But it isnt much of the same a Licence that pretty much using a Brand.
Sure it is easy to say "what ever movie related"
But im talking more "BRANDS" that are not related to a story or a movie or a cartoon.
figurarts when?

Star Trek TOS phaser by Diamond Select.
The screw on the battery cover is shit. The head strips way too easily. Thank god I got the screw out this time, but if I put it back in, it's probably never coming back out.
I need a new one, but I don't know what type of screw to get. I emailed Diamond Select a week ago hoping to get the specs, but they haven't responded. Anyone know what type of screw I'll need?
>>5380830
Put the screw into a bag so you don't loose it. Take it to Home Depot. They have an entire aisle of tiny screws. I had to do the same thing recently for one of my battery covers. I guarantee you that it's just a standard screw and you will be able to find another one cheap.
>>5380856
This but try something like an Ace Hardware. They tend to carry the smaller sized screws. Especially when it comes to metric which I'm guessing this would be.
Don't know if this is the place to ask for this, or the new /wsr/... Gonna go for the people who really care for this stuff. I just found out about an independent book called the "Transmanual". Here's a sample page. Do any of you have a link for the whole thing? Thanks!

Looks pretty cool. Ask the Transformers General guys.

Can someone explain to me why these X-Plus vinyl chew toys cost around $200-$300 each? I mean they're only twelve inches tall and have no articulation, so why would I get these instead of an S.H.MonsterArts? Let me guess it's because they're so accurate and detailed, you guys are getting scammed!
hipsters.
that's all you need to know.

>In microeconomics, supply and demand is an economic model of price determination in a market. It concludes that in a competitive market, the unit price for a particular good, or other traded item such as labor or liquid financial assets, will vary until it settles at a point where the quantity demanded (at the current price) will equal the quantity supplied (at the current price), resulting in an economic equilibrium for price and quantity transacted.

The '54 isn't that much. The MSRP is $160 (luckily, I got it for $120).
I have no idea how they justify the obscene cost of these things but they are damn fine. I'd prefer a little more heft but the sculpts are phenomenal.
Has anyone ever took multiple of these together with tracks and put a car through it to see how fast it would go?
>>5377302
You could link 100 of them end to end and it wouldn't leave the 100th any faster than it left the first.
>>5377404
I don't care if you're right or wrong. I want to see it.

best method is to buy the $10 Harbor Freight "dremel" tool and make a jig. I put a bushing opposite the "dremel" and it was held in place by a hole but thru a 1x4 and a zip tip. Make sure you've got a loop b/c those fucking cars fly now. Literally just a blur until post loop. I wound up busting out some old rubber tire cars my dad has b/c I was wearing the rivets out in under an hour.
Why so expensive /toy/?
Because we live in a world now where everyone thinks they can make a huge profit on things that're no longer in stores.
>>5376803
Marginal profit is much better
>>5376843
Apparently at least a few people disagree.
