I am currently on the lookout for a Battle-Armour Natsumi from Keroro Gunso/Sgt Frog. Unfortunately, pic related is the only model I can find of her, and that was bundled with the manga 5 years ago.

Does anyone know of companies that do a Battle Armour Natsumi, or at least, a website that I might find them on. My Ebay search turned up only 1, which was sold on Ebay back in 2012. I specifically want this, because I fucking love her character, but all of the inprint models are of her in a super short mini-skirt or bathing suit and it just comes across as kinda creepy. She's only about 13 and i'm not a pedophile... Or Swedish...

Here you go.

Looks like nothing articulated though. It's all likely out of print and not available anywhere though.

Too old of a character, too niche at the time of production.

If Keroro were still big, I'm sure Bandai would have made an AGP of that as some kind of cross-promotion however.

Too bad.

SHIIIIILL

Shilling aside, i started watching them,, it irritates me though that they call themselves toy reviewers but just put the figure on a lazy suzan and talk about it.

they barely mention importaint things about the figure like proper articulation and what it scales with,

and it should have been a big clue to everyone when they said for their Glyos figs that they were making "a toy that they would want to play with"
fucking thing has 6 POA! even standard glyos figs have more than that.

Theyve got a certain style to them, a charisma maybe. but their show is horrible, so i honestly cant fathom how they got so popular.
>>
The waves coming off their logo is proof of how much they stink.
>>
I like them a lot! They make pretty good videos, but you have to get past the fact they don't focus 100% on reviewing and more on just talking about toys and how much they love them and their effect on people. They have an interesting view on things, considering the guy with the beard (his name is escaping me for some reason atm) works in licensing and used to work for many different toy companies. I like their videos

Really curious what Hasbro's gonna do with Deathsaurus. Will he have a bot mode and dragon mode? Or a dragon and vehicle mode?

Is a bot mode even possible from that mold?

Unless the plane part can go from vehicle to robot, then no.

Man, this thing was disappointing.People hyped up Mezco's One:12 stuff like crazy, and I finally buckled down and got Batman. I expected at least a basic Figuarts level figure, but what I got felt more like a dressed up NECA figure at best, and a DCUC at worst.
The production itself is very nice. Great box, great stand and armature set up. The costume itself is welldone, especially the cape. But the base figure itself is nothing to write home about.I've been spoiled by what I expect from import figures, because it feels stiff as hell. The ankle rockers feel incredibly lacking and dated. the whole leg area feels like a basic retail figure. I just can't shake the fact that Mezco should've emulated Japanese figures better. It's weird going from the Kinnikuman SHFs, probably the most sublimely articulated figures in this scale, to this. In all honesty, I had more enjoyment out of the SHF Batman, despite it's unfortunate appearance, than this figure overall.

I don't know, I'm just constantly let down by these American toys that get hyped to be just like high quality Japanese figures, but fail to deliver. At least the DC Icons were cheap figures; this on the otherhand costs nearly twice as much as the average SHF.

What did everyone else think?

With timestamp, if possible. Otherwise i'll assume this is bait for 3A anon to come in and start shrieking "MEZCO SHILLS" at anyone who actually likes that figure.

Nice, i love it.

Anyway, yeah there's definitely some great design differences between American figures and Japanese ones. I live in a country where marvel legends and black series figures cost as much on the shelf/online as it would be to get a figuarts/figma online (you'd need to have more money than sense to get those in person) so from my perspective they're both in the same price and quality range, but overall the American ones are always lacking.

Sadly i don't have that figure itself, but i've read alot about it and Mezco do seem to have some trouble putting together decent legs/ankle rockers. I can understand different companies engineering their figures their own way, and that's fine and really should be encouraged, but for me it feels like Mezco chooses their own style over some of the practicality.

I think they were banking alot on the quality of the suit to win over collectors, and i have heard impressive things about it that made me excited for their Space Ghost figure, but when it comes to actual articulation they need to step up their game.

I only got two DC Icons figures, Mister Miracle who i really wanted and Black Adam which i got on a whim, but from those two i got really varied quality of figures. My MM had really tight joints and his elbows and knees felt small and frail as well, and i couldn't get any movement out of his torso at all. Black Adam on the other hand felt so much sturdier and his joints could actually move and hold a pose. So from my limited experience it seems like that line has a wide variance in quality.

So yeah, as far as American figures go i'm not really impressed enough to dive fully in, though i will be getting Space Ghost when it comes out and that'll be my first "High-end" American toy. But for my personal taste i'm happy with Japanese ones.

>Every MP release was the same

Bullshit though I'm glad you remembered soundwave.

>hasbro starscream has a blue nose cone no coronation set subbed with flight stand
>thundercracker better homages the old toy with tampo's on shoulder vents and sonic boom on rear rudders
>all mp's have safety tampo's
>sunstorm became a shithead ronald mc donald
>quality on fittings on newer hasbro versions are lower than takara versions which suggest mold degradation and lower qc checks

I say this as an owner of hasbro starscream (have to force the chest apart to transform into robot which I didn't have to do on older hasbro seekers), all hasbro seekers (I sadly like shithead ronald mc donald), hasbro prowl and hasbro bluestreak (prowl has a slightly off center autobot symbol but he was fine, took me opening 15 total bluestreaks until I found one that didn't look like a 2yr painted it AND could hold its car form without undue stress).

But in short hasbro versions better homage the toys (where possible) and show shows of lower qc, I will buy hasbro ones IF I missed out on the takara and based on price, but unlike the takara I will be cautious and buy them in person rather than be comfortable with opening a package from japan and expecting greatness.

My second hand smokescreen with a chipped bumper did amazing out of the box compared to the many bluestreaks I had, thank fuck the tru I visit are patient enough (though it seems waiting on me gets them out of work so it may be of mutual benefit)

Why don't toys have specific release dates? Movies, music, and video games all have exact dates where you could go to the store or go online and they'll have it in stock pretty much everywhere. but with toys it's more of a release month and even then your local stores probably won't have it until months later because fuck you that's why, but then if you go online you can find it sometimes before release. This seems to be a problem especially with Marvel Legends. Why can't toys have a specific release date where all toy stores get them in stock?
22 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
Because toys are a bigger pain in the ass to manufacture, pack, and ship than the latest tripe by "Adele" and are shipped to tens of thousands of retailers with no idea how they'll sell or how quickly, so why bother trying to meet some street date only the adult collector market, which toy companies loathe, cares about
>>
That would be nice. However I doubt it'd work in the long run. Places order on a need more basis. If things worked like that and came in at a specific date, I'm sure we'd have either too many peg warmers or some people would just not order any stock due to too much stuff that the time.
>>
Because fuck you, that's why.

Seriously. Online retailers that market to collectors have their shipments and releases more rigidly managed, but your local stores couldn't give a shit about that demographic. They manage their toy departments for kids.

Toy collectors, even in today's supposedly NerdsRKewlest culture, don't (and shouldn't) get any special attention like guaranteed retail release days. Not to mention, if there were such a thing, it would only make it easier for scalpers to schedule and you'd be in an even worse position.
