I'm working on a game inspired by 90's toys and am looking for as much reference as possible, i've got a ton of stuff that I had as a kid, but I imagine there was a ton of other cool stuff that I missed out on.
I'm really focusing on anything with bright vibrant colours, as many mutants, monsters and robots as possible, but anything is welcome.
This guy was one of my favorite toys from the 90s. When T2 came out and I saw an ad in the paper that Rite Aid or somesuch was carrying toys from the movie, I went as soon as I could, hoping that they'd made an endoskeleton figure.

Rito revolto and other power rangers aliens and monsters, are fucking awsome 90s toys.
>>5400508
Generally I'd say early 90's were focussed more on "Gross-out" sculpts and bright, pastel colors, while the mid-to-late 90's started bringing on more "extreme" detailing and darker coloring (think McFarlane) , chrome, and translucent plastic. Action feature versions of characters are another big thing; the Batman toys were a major example. You had Batman variants meant to street luge, to snow board, to lava dive; everything. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kinda started the trend but Kenner went all-out with Batman(ToyBiz did too with Spider-man.)

tldr it's a good time to be a Shinkifag.
Where to buy second hand Shinkis:
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money.
>Mandarake - search 武装神姫 and don't trust listing images (they sometimes get mixed up).
>Yahoo Japan Auctions - same kanji as above, you'll need a proxy, try Noppin or FromJapan.
>Taobao - search 武装神姬 and use a proxy like Taobaoring, Taoboafocus, or Bhiner.
>Amiami occasionally gets some preowned.
>Check the BST, My Figure Collection, and Busou Shinki World for sales.

Wrong type of "graveyard shift," LOL
Means I work while everyone else is asleep. I suppose I COULD use that time for Shinki pics, but the office isn't really any better a setting than my apartment..."Oooh, let's play with the copy machine tonight, Master!"

Checked over in the other thread the other day, but figured I'd ask again here because I'm bored.
Any Star Trek fans here? Looking to grab one of the 1/350 Enterprises, but are they all pretty much direct reissues? Also, anyone know if there are plans to continue the Cadet series, or did Ships of the Line take over? Can't believe there are no Maquis, Bjoran, or Jem'hadar ships and only one Cardassian ship in 1/2500 to go with Deep Space 9.
Masters of the Universe Wrist Radio, I can no info on it outside of NASTA making it.

Good luck, at the height of it's popularity they were probably subcontracting their image out to anyone who wanted to make shit.

The MOTUC fanbase is obsessive enough to have lists of that kind of shit, though.

Alright, so I just purchased a preowned fig on amiami. The problem is that the shipping wasn't included in the total, so now I'm stuck waiting for them to send me the actual total including the shipping cost. My only question is if its possible to change the shipping method of it ends up being to expensive? I chose ems and I've heard how crazy the prices can be from amiami.
Tldr; can I change the shipping method after having placed my order on amiami.
Yes just email them
>>5413317
Awesome, simple enough. Thanks for answering my question anon. It's my first time ordering from them and just wanted to be sure.
It will give you the cost of each available shipping method when you get the payment request and you can choose a different one, you good.
So /toy/ I'm sending this to Toywiz soon, wish to add anything?
Toywiz,
I have had enough. You're horrible lack of customer service has pushed me to cancel my pre-order of NECA's Mutavore figure, and generally never order anything from your site again.
My list of greivances:
1. You cannot change your email address for your account. If I change my email address, or it gets compromised, you force your members to completely make a new account, losing their entire order history and settings. What are we living in 1992? Are you kidding? Updating an email record is nothing that should force a user to make a new account. Unacceptable.
>>5413280
2. You provide a complete lack of communication. I have done two pre-orders through your Amazon Payments service. Both were delayed. I understand this is completely on the shoulders of the manufacturer (NECA in both cases) But I have received ZERO email or even private message on the toywiz website about it. I had to literally find out on another toy sellers website ( http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=NEC12749&mode=retail)
FYI, I'll be ordering here from now on.
3. This applies to the above link. Notice how their mutavore link says pre-order ship date in Feb. while yours ( http://www.toywiz.com/7mutavoreneca.html) still says Jan. The lack of even keeping track and updating this information just tells me you don't really care / too lazy to make any status updates. The main issue that irks me the most is that you do NOT inform anyone about this.
People actually use toywiz?
Where''s the best place to pick up a figma lucina? Will she ever get a reprint?
>>5411592
mandarake. bst. no one but gsc knows if she's getting a reprint.
>>5411592
>Will she ever get a reprint?
No.
Figures can't get reprints, they're not books.
>>5411592
Nintendo World Store in New York had a bunch of her in stock last I checked. If you have a middle man, you should check it out.
Found these two action figures recently and I have no idea who they are. Thoughts?
>>5411428
These just caused a massive amount of nostalgia for me, but I can't remember who they are at all.
>>5411428
OP, what you need to do is find some sort of copyright mark & date, then we can work it out from there.
Also, take pictures aren't blurry. We don't need to see your hand. We don't need to see all the junk in your house. Just stand them up in a well lit area in front of a simple background. And for God's sake, use your camera's macro setting.
>TFW googling for "ice wolf arm figure" brings up tons of furry porn.

Young fag here, just started buying and decorating my shelves and desks with these lil' guys. Got some of the smaller, obviously poorer quality toys from Garage Sale bundles and thrift stores. As well as started to purchase Funko Pop! Vinyls. Overall I'd like to think I'm doing pretty well. I don't make too much cash though so I don't have any of the top of the line figures.

Less stuff here since its where I typically sit, don't want my desk too cluttered. I'd appreciate any feedback and maybe some recommendations as to what I should get next.

Figma or Figuarts?
Both seem to have their pros and cons, I've watched a few reviews and it seems to boil down to:
- figma has a nicer visor and is more accurate to the source material
- figuarts has nicer wings and effect pieces
Looking for some input before I pull the trigger on either.
>>5399895
I generally like Figuarts more than Figmas, so I'd gravitate towards that.
But Figuarts never made any Black Lotus, so if you want other characters but Silver Crow, then go with Figma.
>>5399909
That's something I didn't consider, thanks anon.
I like both brands but I'm gravitating more towards the figma, does anyone here own the figure and have something to say about it?
>>5400023
I personally prefer the Figuarts version as a toy more. Figma is Figma. It certainly has its pros in terms of looks (mostly around the torso), but I'm not that enamored with the source material and pig boy's "faceless" enough that I don't mind some of the more visible joints. If the source material is important to you, then Figma. If not, and you just want the somewhat slightly better toy, go Figuarts.
