How does /toy/ display their hotwheels? I would prefer not opening them. I was thinking about using tacs but I don't know where or how i should display them.
Any advice?

Then you should have kept your money.

>displaying carded hotwheels
I've never really understood the appeal of displaying unopened items. Without fail, the collection looks like a display in a comic or hobby shop.
Why not just open a shop OP? Or buy a retail display rack like they have in the store, and display them on it?
It would be like standing in the toy isle, but in your own house! :^)
>>5549710
What part of "would prefer not opening them" somehow twisted into some sort of way of saying "ill sell them"? I don't want to sell them, let me repeat this again...I don't want to sell them. I like the package they come in and it's not like I'm going to play with them, I think the box compliments the cars/decks
>>5549713
I hate you
Real talk: neither of you would keep them in their packages despite it being part of a theme? I mean if I got a regular generic vehicle that's one thing, but we're talking about cars inspired from spiderman/batman and two finger boards.
>No toy train thread?
Let's fix that.
>>5548405
Why not use the model train general in /n/?
>>5548809
They're called ToyTrains, so naturally, we got thrown here.

Should I bother to sort out mini-figure's and what not?
Accidentally broke my VAH chopper leg.
The shaft of the foot joint is stuck inside
What should I do?
>>5548424
>hamhands general
>Glue the end of the shaft to something, try to pull it out
>Drill the shaft away
>Drill a hole into the shaft, jam a pin in with a dab of glue, try to pull it out
>etc.
Either way, the shaft won't survive.
Even if it did, the joint won't last if you manage to glue it back
>>5548467
so if I manage to take the shaft out destroyed how can I fix it?
I was just thinking about supergluing the foot back on and not touching it ever again
>BvS toys in the same corner as CW toys
Woah.
>>5548358
>TFW in a few months it will be SS in the same corner as TR
HOL UP "transforms lips profusely"
What in the fuck is ss and tr???
>>5548437
SS is Suicide Squad but TR was a motherfucker to figure out because who the FUCK is even excited about Thor: Ragnarok
How do you become a toymaker? I've seen that 1000toys uses some sort of program to make a model before casting(?) it.

Learn graphic design, 3d modeling and engineering.

She was great in T2
You'd think it'd be graphic design, but actually a viable option is industrial design. A lot of the people that were behind the OT Star Wars practical effects and miniatures had backgrounds in industrial design.

those rotating joints are indeed a marvel
Hi /toy/ I'm looking for a figure that looks like Hunk from the Resident Evil series, the real ones are too expensive or too tall. I'm looking for a 3,75 inch one, I've already saw the cobra shock trooper from GI Joe but he's too expensive
Any suggestion?
>>5545090
Try Acid Rain series by Ori Toy
http://thetoysource.com/acid-rain/bob-figure/
>>5545090
A little too expensive for me, but thanks for the suggestion
>>5545090
You can BIN the cobra shock trooper for $17 right now, and at auction can grab it for $10 on a good day. You're not going to find anything cheaper.
Hello /toy/ can anyone of you suggest a good carnage figure with a reasonable price?
Marvel Select
>>5544047
OP here, thanks, I'll try to search for a marvel select carnage at the next con

There's a reissue coming, just get that

Japanese toy commercials are pretty stellar
so i buy one lego every month cause thats all i can afford. i wonder how can you have so many toys? how much money do you have right not that you can blow on toys without problems?
A stable, well-paying job.
Are you like 15 and your allowance isn't as big as the other boys?
>>5536340
I work, but I pay almost no bills as my parents let me act like a neet, so I can blow $400 a week (self enforced limit so I have a backup incase they get sick of me) on random shit and not give one single fuck.
As long as I can hold it in my room they can only nag since its my money, said money would be enough to maintain a wife and 2 children in a sensible budget but I clearly don't have that.
Now OP, clarification, buy one lego a month, you mean an individual brick, or a set, big or small, any spacial limits?
Way I see it you buy yourself star destroyer sets a month which is alot
>>5536349
not even OP but man sometimes being an adult is hard. I live in one of the most expensive cities in North America and that shit isn't easy.
On topic though my purchases really range from month to month, depending on whether or not something I really want pops up on Mandarake or something, or if pre-orders go up for stuff I want. On maybe a quieter spending month I'll blow $60 on gachapon stuff because I'm an addict for everything miniature. I'd roughly say $100 - $200 a month is what I'm at, not really that big a deal
Remember these figures?
>Bane in a spooky-skeleton halloween costume
>>5546287
I miss these figures
>>5546292
Technically the line is still there, but it's used for BvS's 6" toys.
What can you fine gents tell me about the Kaiyodo 200X line?
Nothing. But I can tell you that if you're thinking of going FotNS, you'll probably want the Revoltechs. While it's not the BEST, many of them are pretty cheap because they semi-recently got Legacy rereleases and there's a lot of characters in that line and they're solid figures.
>>5545448
Now that's a succinct answer. Thanks a ton, anon.
>>5545452
No problem. Also, good taste. FotNS is great shit. Don't change.
So I'm gonna get to meet Larry Hama at Joelanta. What are some good topics to chat about? Will deliver.
Ask him about his thoughts on the new GI Joe: Renegades live action movie. Is he Team Captain Duke or Team errrr Red Deep Six.
>>5545120
He is NOT into 'geeky talk' at ALL so tread lightly & don't talk to him if he is doing a sketch, that'll piss him off.
>>5545120
Katanas.
You ever go to the toy isle, what's the first thing you see? That big ass tower of balls right near the front of it.
And what's so great about these colorful rubber balls that they're sold everywhere? Is there some kind of ball shortage? Why the fuck are these so mass produced?
What could be a more primitive toy than a ball anyhow? It's so fucking simple, "oooh look a three dimensional circle! Let's buy 100!"
What utter nincompoop would purchase this, especially for a child?
>>5543708
Do you not have legs or arms?
>>5543708
>"oooh look a three dimensional circle! Let's buy 100!"

y-you mean a sphere?
