How much should I expect to spend on a used Force FX lightsaber?
>>5753623
Mines almost 10 years old and they were already far from new then so surely they must be pretty worthless second hand by now.
I got mine for £50 at the end of a Con and I'd never pay more than £80 for one.
Depends on how much you want it.
>>5753623
If you sell an old master replicas force fx, you can get a pretty penny especially for the rare models. But if you just want a new Hasbro Force fx, wait for them to restock and buy one for regular price.

>>5748029
maybe you should start the thread with a proper picture of well posed toys then

This, also everyone post Jojo toys.

What the fuck is the point of buying an entire collection of highly articulated figures only to stand them like fucking mannequins. They're not even good static poses either, looks like they were taken out of the box and immediately put on the shelf. That's just really sad.
For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

***GM Group Build***
Rules:
Pick an HG GM, and paint and customize it. For it to count as a GM, it literally just has to have GM in the name of the MS on the box, otherwise, no, it doesn't count. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit.
To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a GM Custom and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread, or email.
Due Date: 8/12
Submissions go to [email protected]
Submission format
Please submit photos in jpg via a compressed file (zip, rar, or 7zip), please don't link images to imgur or photobucket or the like. Please also name yourself, even if it's a pseudonym. Also indicate your participation in the contest below.
***Contest***
Instead of doing just a generic group build this time, there's going to be a prize pack. The prize pack will contain a GM Sniper K9, a set of glass paint mixing jars, and a Tamashii stand (sized for HGs or RDs). Shipping is at my expense.
Rules for the contest:
If you wish to enter the contest I'm going to actually need some proof. Please send me pictures of your kit as a work in progress and a final product with a timestamp and your email address. I hate to put his burden on you guys but this is the internet and people suck.
Judging
Regardless of who wins the contest proper, all entries will be made available on a blog post on Saturday, August 13th. Actual judging will take place Saturday as well, with the winner announced that evening. The winner will be contacted via email and be given a two day grace period for responding. PLEASE USE AN ACTIVE EMAIL WHEN SUBMITTING!
So I just placed an order for plaplate sheets. It comes with .20, .30, .40 and .60, what task should I be using each sheet type for?

You're using data, aren't you? Their wifi blocks this site.
What's up with that empty box?
the store has zero wifi. luckily I have a pretty good data plan.
the box was for a big Lego technic set
I browse here all the time waiting for one and either miss it or it's rare so here we go~

Just got this batman figure at a toy recicling center (pretty much thrown away toys sold at shit price)
Wondering if its worth anything. Seems pretty decent. It's 9 inchs tall. Year of production is 1995
Close up.
Anyone?
nigger bump.
Can anyone identify the spidey figure in the middle? And how easy would it be to rub a little acetone on its chest and face to get rid off the white paint? Would the black plastic underneath look any different that the rest on his body?
>acetone
Why use acetone when you can just use 90+% alcohol for that?
>>5757688
Looks like Spiderman Series 9
>>5757688
That's the hang gliding spidey from the line that Hasbro did with the shitty iron spider and 2099 spidey. Glider spider was the best of the 3. The rest were a fucking joke.
Hi,
Does anybody know where is this thing from? Seems to be part of a set.
Thanks in advance

NECA pleb piece of shit
Idk if I should put this in the Figuarts General thread or the customs but basically I want to make a custom using the Luke Skywalker as the base but his elbows and knee joints are different than, for example, the Body-Kun one. So basically
>is it easy to take Figuarts apart
>even though the joints look different, are they universal?
>>5757211
No theres nothing that's necessarily universal about Figuarts, they use somewhat different engineering on different figures and introduce new stuff pretty often. They often have like the same peg size on elbow joints and things like that but most Figuarts aren't necessarily compatible enough with one another to stop you from like maybe having to bust out a dremel, etc.
Basically you'll most likely have to do a little bit of work to make your part swaps fit.
>>5757227
Thanks anon. I'll see what I can do.
>>5757211
Luke uses figma style joints and you can pull them out, but you're not supposed to
Hey /toy/
I've not really been into figures until recently, kind of want to get into them but not sure where to start. Is there a wiki or some such I could look into? To learn about manufacturers and distributors? Toy lines?
This was the figure that got me into them. I adore it. Really dig the ridiculous amounts of articulation it has. Anything else like it? Or any other Mega Man figures you could recommend?
Back in the 90s and 00s, we had a thing called "lurking".
>>5756627
Ignore that other asshole op, just look at the catalog and you'll see generals for different toy manufacturers like goodsmile or revoltech or neca, stuff like that.
If you want Megaman figures with ridiculous articulation, try to find the Rockin' Action Rockman.exe figures. To this day I haven't seen another figure nearly as poseable. Sentinel is making their own Rockman.exe that looks good from their new 4-inch Nel line, but it doesn't loose as poseable. Cool accessories, though. They're also making an original MM8-styled Rock.
