>>6459737
But homies wernt ninjas
Is there a reason why Thundercats keeps getting cucked when it comes to toys?
>>6457838
Most recent series had a major production change behind the scenes, the show suffered and was cancelled. Without a show or strong ratings, there are no toys.
it's a 30+ year old property that only creepy, balding men that parents would be afraid to have their children around care about
And they've still never made toys from the cheesy live-action movie. You'd think someone would have at least made Lion-o by now.

We have now reached the 140k mark in zombie lab. The all in is getting a little better
Might want to put a solid color stripe or banner behind the "1:18 General" next time, it's kinda hard to make out in the pic.
Do the Revoltech Mini MGS figures scale with Acid Rain or Joes? I want some mooks for Snake and Snake to play around with.
Why hasn't figma released any jojo figures? I think they would sell really well
I really need them jojo figures

That fish has a really nice headsculpt considering how old that toy is.

Most of the old monsters had really nice sculpts. Bandai's always done much better with the monsters than the Rangers themselves.
Where can I get the Metallic MMPR figures online? Have they appeared on US retail?
I can't find them on Amazon.

This isn't a line I collect from very much, but DAMN, that Clockwork Orange guy is too good to pass up.
I hope they keep going with other western properties, I'm liking what I see.
Has the quality of the line gone up at all? I like some of the stuff I've seen but I've heard some horror stories about this stuff in the past.
>>6464182
My first Mafex was the ASM2 Spidey which I was hyped for but he turned out to be a loose mess.
My most recent Mafex' are Boba Fett and Knightmare Batman.
Boba is one of my favourite figures; period. Just beautiful, no QC issues to speak of and excellent paint and sculpt. When I first got it I would just look at it for ages. Articulation is somewhat lacking but I put that down to the design of the character.
Batman is good but I don't love it by any means. It just didn't draw me in like Boba did. No QC issues either and he has more accessories but he doesn't have the wow factor.
I'm definitely willing to buy more Mafex, they still seem to be finding themselves they've proven they can knock it out of the park.
TL;DR They're hit and miss but when they hit they HIT. Take a chance, you might be surprised.

Yes, because that never happened before.
In all seriousness, some Titanmaster-sized Micromasters and Voyager/Leader-sized bases with be pretty nice.

Aw yeah
I don't really know that much about /toy/s, so please bear with me...
Today I purchased a box full of all this stuff at a Goodwill for $15. I do know that it's Gundam stuff, but that's about it.
Can any of you be so kind as to identify exactly what I have here, or point me in the right direction?
One more pic to follow.
Thank you all so much for looking.

Second pic
First, resize your photos. Secondly those are gundam figures, mobile suit in action to be precise. They aren't worth much anymore as the ebay market got saturated last year. As playthings, you did well for that much.
>>6479434
What should I resize them to?
I'm not looking to sell them, I just want to know exactly what they are (I also need to figure out what accessories go with each particular figure).
Thank you.

>WAIT, MY VOICE? "DRY AND CRACKING"? OH, IT'S THE, UM.... THE ENERGON, YES! I HAD A LITTLE TOO MUCH OF IT LAST NIGHT ON IACON, LIKE US AUTOBOTS USUALLY DO!
>OF COURSE I'M CLIFFJUMPER, YOU PATHETIC - HUH? W-WAIT, CLIFFJUMPER IS THE RED ONE?!
How the fuck did this get approved?
>in random dollar store
>see little Optimus on shelves
>figure why not, it's only 5 bux
>it's not a KO either
>open it up
>legs specifically prevented from moving due to blocks on the ball joints
>arms super loose
>legs fall off if you try to move them anyway
>literally worse in every way than a titan master and it's vehicle/gun, which is also priced at $5
Wow. All they had to do was just make the legs able to move forward and it would've been a nice little cheapo Optimus. Why would they do this? Also the tolerances are so laughable not even a KO would be this bad, I think.
...I still like it for some reason. As shitty as it was. Waste of $5. Yet I still like it. Fuck. I even carved the blockages off the ball joints on the hips and it still barely moves forward or back with the legs thanks to the fucked hip design they gave this thing.
I know there is already the Robot Damashii thread, but that one is more focused on 1/144 line. I wanted to talk about Metal build in general, especially now with the new mazinger Z incoming and a likely extension of the line beyond the Gundams.
How many of you collect MB? I mean seriously, not one or two. What do you think about it, and what would be an ideal start pack for newbie?
>>6476389
I mean, the reason it usually gets folded into the RD general is because the Metal Build line is still relatively small, there aren't all that many owners on /toy/ for various reasons, and the RD thread gets fairly regular traffic so more people will see your posts. I'm not telling you not to make your own threads or to delete this one or anything, just sayin', this probably isn't gonna be a real busy thread, ya dig?
Also like, it's a little bit comedic to me to have a "newbie starter pack" for a line with under 20 releases, all of which are in the $150-250 range.
It doesn't matter if it dies quick. It's fine . I just wanted a single opportunity to chat a bit about these figures.
Forgive me, but It's a bit silly that just joined to complain about my topic. Yes, i know they are expensive toys and few here can afford it. I know i will not have many answers, still some will certainly have them to exchange some photos or opinions. Not to be rough, but It's /toys, so why spoil the fun?
>>6476389
MB is pretty premium as a line but it feels like one that you just dip into for your favorites. It's just too expensive in the long run, with all the expansion packs and different versions of each mobile suit and whatnot. But the ones already available look really slick, and the accessory packs can be legitimately insane sometimes.
I just wish the mobile suits themselves look a bit more stylized, like maybe SIC versions of the model kit they're supposed to be.

Man
It's totally worth it, I fucking love how you can go full armored core with all the armaments

hehe
Holy shit, this thing looks AWESOME.
Is Action Toys a good brand? Never had anything from them.
What are some other good retro-style robots with extreme amounts of articulation? I know about the Sentinel Gorg but RIP my wallet.
If you like Daitetsujin 17, you should check out World Scope's figure that came out last year(?). It's about 12", great quality with diecast in the feet. They also made an 18 that's pretty great, too.
You can find each for about US$130 from some Honk Kong sellers.
>>6473178
Yeah, I saw those while Googling around for more info on the Action Toys version. Looking at the World Scope version, that one definitely looks familiar.
What is the consensus on it? Seems good enough to pick up for $130.
>>6473243
These look great but 130 dollars? Fuck no.
