You're not, that's a great mold. I like to keep his shoulders folded up so he doesn't have quite as gorilla-y proportions, but otherwise he's pretty much my de facto IDW-esque Wheeljack. I might someday pick up an extra and give him the generations' head and find a way to attach the wrenches.
>>6274567
Prime really did have a lot of great molds, now that I think about it. The first edition Bumblebee is definitely in my top 5 favorites.

Gourai is a Good Girl
Stylet is a dumb plane
Bunnylard a cute.
These are indisputable facts.
>>6273181
Gourai is a good girl who works hard.
Finished snapping and a bit of painting on my innocentia today, thought I'd do some halfassed commentary.
Articulation: Materia/Jinrai hips. New shoulders pull out so she can cross her arms in front of her chest, new engineering inside. Can't quite gunbuster pose, her tits get in the way and I cant be bothered to take them off to see if that fixes it. I think she has the same style of ankles as baselard, but both sets of feet have toe joints.
Misc: Her shoe feet have seams down the middle of the shoe that I'll probably have to glue. The fit difference on the black and bare legs is just enough that I can't put the shoed feet on the fleshy legs without them falling out. A coat of future would probably fix it. No stand or weapons is kinda lame, luckily I have a big pile of random equipment laying around. Color separation is great, and she comes with spare wrist pieces for both colors of arm.
She's also a smug little shit for someone without any pants, I love her.
For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

The Indiana Jones line was awesome, shame it didn't sell.
In November im going to new york for a few days, what should i expect to find there.
Im hoping that shops there will stock stuff we cant get in the UK easily such as gundams and figmas.

If you want something japanese, just order online. Any physical store outside japan has extremely high markup prices just because they imported it. Stores in NY like kinokuniya are particularly bad and prey on young stupid weebs who havent learned what amiami and mandarake are yet.

I want Cloak ans Dagger figures
Does anyone have experience with sideshow toys?
are they worth the price?
No.
Yes.
Maybe.
Do you have any other 12 inch collector figures in the $150-$300 range? If the answer is yes and you like them and you dont mind paying, then yes, sure.
If this will be your first figure like that then you basically just need to bite the bullet and buy one or two and see how you feel about spending that much. Do I think they are "worth it"? Not really, but I like them enough to buy a few of them so I don't concern myself with how much money they are.
>>6271471
Is that the specific figure you're looking at? Because that one is manufactured by Hot Toys, Sideshow is just the distributor. Hot Toys is probably the best maker of 1/6 scale figures. As far as figures actually made by Sideshow my only experience is a few of the G.I. Joe 1/6 scale figures from some years ago and they were pretty good.
>>6271471
I don't know if any figure is really worth $200, but Hot Toys figures are pretty high quality. Sideshow also offers monthly payment plans if can't or don't want to pay the whole price at once.
I've been pretty satisfied so far what what I've gotten. Pic related.
The makers of Coraline, Kubo and Paranorman will finally start selling toys of their licenses.
"Brad Wald, CFO of Laika, believes that his company's library of colorful characters and worlds are a perfect fit for Striker Entertainment and he hopes this new deal will lead to bigger and better things in the future."

id be interested but if they are statues i will boycott their movies
Smart move
it's about time Tim Burton got his own toyline, i loved his work in those moveies
Pros:
-Ships pretty fast if you do express (Japan to Cad in one day)
Cons:
-Uses dark magic to ensure no one is home
-Somehow only takes Cash or credit in the 21st century.
i bought something and they shipped it via fedex's like, cheapest shipping
it took over a week and they wound up transferring the item to USPS anyway
>tfw live in Newark
>tfw packages are left right on the stoop in the middle of the day when I'm at work
Surprisingly, it's never been stolen.
>>6269165
it's cheap because it's fedex smartpost.
Fedex does not delivery to you , they deliver to your post office and your normal USPS mailman delivers to you. Looks like you got the service you paid for.
http://www.fedex.com/us/smart-post/outbound.html
UPS has a similar service call UPS SurePost
>>6269158 -Somehow only takes Cash or credit in the 21st century.
isn't that the norm?
There's also difference in Fedex.
Fedex Express (look for the [E] on the label)
Fedex Ground (look for the [G] on the label)
Fedex Home delivery (look for the [H] on the label)
Fedex Smart post. (look for USPS on the label)
Most people stop reading after looking at Fedex, and ignore the rest like express, ground, home, etc.
Fedex express is the only all fedex employee under the main branch. everything else are just leaves if you get what I mean. j/k
Strange, weird, disturbing and creative figures and toys?
Man I love shit like this. This and stuff like coreplay is why I want to get into 1/6th but the space problem it creates makes it hard.
>>6264626
I don't consider that creative. All they did was stick an animal head on a military figure. It's like the laziest way to make a cool anthro figure.
>>6264626
>>6264630
Same. I can't remember if this one is by the same people or not but I dig it. Anything astronaut-themed is 10/10 in my book.
Are there any other figures of Scarjo as Major? I don't like the way they made the face with this one.
Also, has any toy company made a Batou movie version apart from the pop vinyl?
>>6264009
did the movie have tachikomas in it?
No, not yet.
>>6264028
And no, but the bloodhound was.
>>6264028
I think they had a tachikoma on display in the lobby of Hanka's corporate headquarters. It was a quick shot.
what's the general consensus on mini mates series?
I'm not sure about the quality of the figures overall
>>6263087
Haven't bought any in almost seven years but I always remember them being pretty decent for cheap 2.5 inch figures. Never had any QC problems with any of them.
The very earliest ones were cool but the more they've tried to make them complex and 'realistic' they've just gotten worse and uglier.
I mean Jesus look at that Thanos...The original was simple but great.
>>6263087
I'd say that, overall, it's a solid line, ESPECIALLY if you like getting a variety of characters. I know there was a decent span of time where if you wanted an obscure character, Minimates were likely to be your best bet. However, that said, the designs can be VERY hit and miss. When it's a hit, they really can be stand out figures with a lot of charm.
>>6263106
See here. A bit bulky, looks a bit awkward overall.
A lot of the movie tie-ins can look quite ugly, too, because they try too hard to capture an actor's likeness. Other times, even if not a movie related figure, they can get a bit needlessly complex in paint/accessories and it muddies a figure unnecessarily.
thoughts on the upcoming spark toys ST02?
Looks like Tankor more than Megatron
>>6262877
Outdated design, so much bulk its silly, then again you don't have to share my opinion.
>>6263393
I agree with this actually. At the time they were new and fresh and didn't look like marshmallows ala Pat Lee. They looked good then because we weren't used to this level of detail and design. Then the newer Gundam-ish/movie mash designs came along and I like them a lot more.
