Depends on the number of cooking perks taken so far, and how far into my Chain I am in general.

Probably involving telekinesis, though. Effectively gives me extra hands, so I can do more things at a time and do the mixing parts faster. Obviously this means I need multitasking perks for that.

So some decades are longer than others… This one was a hell of a long jump. Well at least I had a good idea what to do immediately instead of the last jump where it took me a while to find out. I had immediately found myself indebted to some guy named Rodin.

I broke something or something like that and he wouldn’t take normal money so I had to go out and hunt monsters, angels and demons from every corner of all 3 worlds. If there was a hell hole that no one wanted to go there you can bet I have been there a half dozen times hunting the very reason why no one went there. I fought god like entities, Monstrous Skyscraper sized Kaiju, Even clashed with Dante once though that was a misunderstand. We went out for pizza after that and all was forgiven.

The kicker was no matter how much I did, no matter what I dragged back to Rodin I always owed more for some reason. Also because I had to fight stuff that were invisible to normal people and things would get broken, people would miraculously sue me. If I spend most of my time hunting nightmarish beasts that any sane person would run from I spent the other half dealing with nightmarish lawyers that any sane person would run from. I think I liked the monsters better.

I had enough money to cover it but the time and effort was really the killer. Anyways somehow I made it through that mess.

I seem to have unfortunate luck in posting the very last on threads.

Anyway, please let me know what you think of the DKC jump. I've pasted it again below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_TqZboetruwQk9zclQyMXhxUHc/view?usp=sharing

On a related note, I thought of one other way to balance out the Lost World endgame option. I mention in it that after you enter the volcano you'll have a final boss fight against some sort of guardian. I was kind of vague about who exactly because I didn't know who or what the boss should be while staying true to the DK material; in the game, it was just K. Rool, recovering from his last defeat at your hands.

But I just thought, what if the boss scales in power according to your own power? There would need to be something to ensure the jumper still has a fair chance (maybe it's like the K. Rool battle in that you just have to survive all the attacks until the boss is finally vulnerable after a long while?), but doing so would help address the whole issue of how to keep people from jumping to the Spark too soon without making it too restrictive either. Since the boss scales up with your own power, it means that you'll be in for a tough fight whether it's your sixth jump or hundredth. Just an idea to consider; what do people think about it?

Well it takes most of a light cruiser to properly support a Company of space marines and their ship will be greatly reduced in space combat as a result. Light cruisers are only slightly smaller than cruisers and cruisers are only slightly smaller than Grand or battle cruisers. If they get the capabilities to fully support a company of space marines without the trade off. . . well it is fine as this is a Rouge Trader vessel and they can be weird/exceptional but it is still a really big upgrade to offer when a self contained company with their own ship would work just as well.

Also there is the issue that this space marine contingent would probably not be under your direct command, at least not until post jump. A group of marines might follow you around and help you but getting them to move into your ship and follow your orders? That is rather hard to believe, even if they were willing the Inquisition will probably have something unpleasant to say about the matter.

Anyway see ya later.

Could you clarify or reword Cold Commander a bit? Until I read the bit about being able to Import companions into the position it sounded more like a perk that lets you make one character in every setting you go to into a boss, and even then it still feels like I'm reading it wrong.

And... gah, sorry for asking for something like this so late into the jump's making, but is there any chance of a Kremling army companion option? You know, one hundred (or some other number. I'm saying a hundred because that's probably enough krocs to populate one world's worth of stages) mooks in one companion slot, with power given by imports split between them. Since you have one discounted companion for each background, I guess you could make it a more general option and let you pick something appropriate to your background instead of Kremling only. So Kongs and Wildlife would have less competent but more numerous animal buddies, Snowmads would have... snowmads, while Drop-In would have... I don't know, oddly familiar turtles that definitely aren't Koopas? Or maybe Mini-Jumper toys. Just a thought.

Oh, hey. I have some questions.

Is the altform altering of Holy Thorn Knights and Ebon Devil an one-time thing, or could I choose whether I want to be eldritch/devilish whenever I take one of my altforms?

Also, can we get an item/perk for the cool crowns the Demiurges wear? It doesn't seem to be part of their Keys, since Zoss doesn't actually have his in pic related and at various other points.

Congrats, that's how most jumpmakers feel. Sometimes you just have to be a bit creative to fit things into a jump structure and personally I don't see anything majorly wrong with the jump. Room for improvement, yes, wrong, no.

In any case, you know those floating crown things, do you get them along with being a Demiurge as well as the key?
>>
>>55421987
>>55421966
Form altering is a permanent thing, so you can keep shifting your form, so long as it still fits the criteria.

The crown is actually part of the Key, so you have that by default

and yeah, sure you can have it floating.

As wacky as a long row of marriage proposals would have been, I resisted the urge. Besides, farm skills are nice.

I'll probably be containing shorter jumps into big pastebins to avoid taking up too much space until I actually start writing out plots. This Jumper is mostly going to be starting small and in slice-of-life or low-threat settings, anyhow. Either way, glad you're enjoying it, anon.

I don't get this? It's permanent, but I can keep altering my form? Maybe I'm just missing what you mean here.

Let's try it this way. Suppose I buy Holy Thorn Knights, and have a dragon altform. Can I pick whether I want to be a normal dragon or an eldritch angel dragon whenever I like?

>The crown is actually part of the Key, so you have that by default
Is it really? Zoss shows up with a crown but /without/ a Key pretty often.

>and yeah, sure you can have it floating.
Awesome.
>>
>>55422160
You can make your dragon looks eldritch, but if you don't like how it looks, or you want to go back to being a regular dragon, then you can change it into something else.

Also, while we don't know much about what the crowns are, they seem to be able to be projected from the Key, so you can probably have one of the crowns at will.

Alright. Thank you, that's awesome.

>Also, while we don't know much about what the crowns are, they seem to be able to be projected from the Key, so you can probably have one of the crowns at will.
I suppose that works... I'd still like it if it's at all possible to include in the jump as a Demiurge-free thing, since they don't quite seem to be the same thing as the Key.

Pic related shows Zoss already having his crown, when he just arrived in Throne. Before ever creating the Keys.

One anon mentioned it might be related to Royalty instead of the Keys specifically, which made sense to me? But since the jump bans you from getting Royalty...

And interesting idea about the mook companion option. I'll see what I can do.

As for Cold Commander, no, that's not what I meant; you don't get to make one character of each setting into a boss. What I meant was that you can appoint someone in the DKC world to be your commander. And since there's multiple bosses in the games, I said that you could purchase it multiple times for additional boss commanders.

Infernals question.
It was brought up a while ago that the powers of The Sword of the Yozi are unclear, since the stats in the game are only given for Liger with the sword not the sword itself.

With this in mind would it be reasonable to say that the "special powers of the Sword of the Yozi" are in fact Ligier's own powers and the sword is just an absurdly good sword? With the Vassal's Sword being a perfect copy which was then infused with Ligier's attempt to allow a young infernal to if not fight at his level at least fight in a similar manner?

So Jumpers, how often do you rely on lies to accomplish your goals? Do you regularly pretend to be something you're not, or do you prefer to not even bother telling people anything, lies or not?

Hey GundamAnon, just some questions about Iron-Blooded Orphans:

Is The Artifact the same "thing" in every jump? Like if I decide that The Artifact is a disabled Mobile Armor, in all future jumps it can't be a mine or a derelict Mobile Suit?
Secondly, does "Should you be... ‘alone’, you will find yourself stumbling upon it when in danger or you
need it, here or in the future." mean what I think you're implying?

So, I love pressure point bullshit.

What jumps have the best pressure point junk? Bonus points for examples with more esoteric effects.

Also, what are some good ways to get around the weaknesses of pressure points? Stuff like having to relearn where they are when you encounter a new species, and for using it on amorphous beings or things without functioning nervous systems.

Step one: Pick the Hokuto background in Fist of the North Star.

Step three: Pick up other pressure point bullshit you want.

Congrats, you now know how to protect your own pressure points and use the same techniques on just about anyone.

It's as done as it's gonna get and has been on the drive for a while. Only reason it's not '1.0' is because I'm too lazy to fix typos and whatnot.

>>55423260
Avatar has some paralysing stuff? Naruto sorta has something like it if you go with a Byakugan.

Ranma 1/2 has weirder pressure points, Happosai does some pretty esoteric shit with them. Like, making someone's entire body ultra-sensitive to heat, to the point that lukewarm water would feel like it burns, or using a combination of pressure points to change a person's metabolism and partial martial art exercise to give someone the ability to drain people's aura.

So, I read a Dragonball writefag and I found out that Xenoverse is canon, so I'm now wondering a few things.

1) If I don't take Chain Breaker or Dark Seekers will the Time Breakers show up unless I also take A Smaller World?

2) If I do take A Smaller World, does the line "Goku’s tale truly ends after his first and fateful
battle with Piccolo Jr." means that he permadies sometime afterword?

3) If the answer to 2) is yes, what this this mean if I then take the DBZ jump? Can I take the continuity drawback?

4) >>55418783 What about GT? I don't see a drawback talking about them. Do they only show up if I take Taking the Tour or will they show up regardless?

Brand new world, same old bullshit. This jump follows closely on the tails of Hero BBS, so getting summoned somewhere to deal with the problems of the locals is a familiar feeling. It's a middle-fantasy world, so magic and magical beasts are familiar even if they aren't common place. For my part, I hunt things that the locals can't seem to put down. At least that's what I'd like to be doing, not only because I enjoy helping out the peasantry, but also because feasting on fantastical creatures builds me up, but the power-brokers have plans of their own.

1. Probably not, I'd personally consider them separate timelines until you actually did continuity with the upcoming Xenoverse jump, but it'd ultimately be up to you, the one writing the story. Continuity in this universe is weird, anyways.
2. What? No. That's silly. It just means the story itself is basically over as far as your jump is concerned. No early Saiyan arrivals, no curious God of Destruction being woken by Jumper nonsense, etc.
3. See 2.
4. Can't speak for Val.
5. Since that just brings it to 'drawbacks/fanwank' only, the former would be about as tough as you'd expect for your level at the time (along with those of the rest of the cast) and thus would be unwise to take, or because you're intentionally using it as a plot device and thus it's entirely your own problem.

In short, don't worry so much about it. It's not a problem unless you want it to be.
>>
>>55423865
My money would be on the SM Chapter. The SMs, in theory, have some idea of how to work as a organization -- small and large unit tactics, combined arms, logistics -- whereas I've yet to see anything in Destiny that vaguely resembles strategic thinking. The biggest advantage that the Destiny factions have, and this is Guardian exclusive, is their ability to revive. Depending on how you wank it, that could play a part. Even so, it's been demonstrated that that ability in and of itself doesn't win wars.

So yeah, my money is on the SMs.

However, I would guess that Endurance relates to stuff like how far one can run, while Vitality relates to stuff like how many hits one can take.
>>
>>55424063
So writing in someone else’s hand is rather strange. It took me a while to get used to. I would say this is a return for Dark Lord Raven… but I don’t know if this really counts since I was really just a rock in the center of my dungeon.

I will be honest I have no interest in evil, hurting people or the usual dark lord conquest stuff. However the world itself slanted against me. I guess all the other keepers being evil kind of made it hard for me to explain I wasn’t. So I decided to use my evil powers for good and attack other Dungeon Keepers.

At first I honestly thought I would steam roll everything do to my out of context powers. I was naïve.
I had used my knowledge of robotics and the Keeper’s ability to build stuff fast to make a formidable army.

I figured with my companions they would be pretty well unstoppable… well the Keepers were a bit better prepared for stuff than I thought even having spells that would turn minions against each other as well as brutal traps.

I didn’t lose any companions but I lost a few minions and my enemies figured out the design of my robots and made things hell for me for a while.

There were a few tense invasions but I managed to hold them off.

I managed to sneak a flaw in to one of my designs that I made sure the enemies captured, they started using it and I back hacked it and actually broke their dungeon hearts with their own minions.

I learned from that to be more cautious and subtle about my actions. I managed to managed to use my companions to unite the people against rival keepers while keeping a low profile and helping subtly. My companions became great heroes and I manipulated things from behind the scenes. I wasn’t interested in conquest so I got what I wanted and everyone who wasn’t a keeper wound up happy.

That's... difficult. In general, you're on the higher end though- Somewhere in the notables of your race. So Nastika would be King Candidates, Raksasha would be... actually pretty damn low compared to anyone we've seen since 1st Stage is literally a baby but by 4th stage perhaps a bit weaker than Yuta, and humans depend entirely on their levels of Divine Affinity and their Birth Attributes, so with enough, you could make Asha cry, bit without buying there, you're kinda screwed.

Most other races we don't really have that good a baseline to measure against, unfortunately.

It does do something the second time. The capstone boosters. Been over this in the past but the reason the option is 500 instead of more expensive is because it only gets taken once. To offset that, this time I tried to make each capstone booster very powerful, like another capstone on top.

>>55421069
It's growth in general.

Reverse S Mode would be a very poor choice there, since with a Soft Cap you'd eventually get stuck forever in the middle stage. S Mode would be extremely good, since it'd effectively turn into a permanent growth boost with a soft cap once you got past the beginner stuff.

Now that you are awake, can I ask is this scenario getting in? Keep in mind this is not mine, just copy and pasted as I couldn't help but love it.

Scenario where your with Joan in the Hundred Year War trying to stop the English (Represented by the Lion King and her minions or generic English servants if you perfer) from taking over. You're her Gillas

However it seems that history got a 'few' things wrong about Joan of the Arc, first her charisma is terrible and she seems to always rub people in the wrong way, second she hates God and whenever the subject is brought up she can't help but go on long rants about how he is uncaring about the suffering of his servants.

She's still Joan of the Arc though, a fact that she repeats to you, a lot, almost like she's trying to convince both you and herself.

Needless to say if your going to have any hope of actually beating back the English you'll need to fill in for the charisma and be a voice of reason to her. It's up to you two to rally the French servants and French people against the invaders.

However when your in the process of beating back the English you hear rumors about an impostor Joan of the Arc. the 'real' Joan of the Arc seems to have been greatly shaken by the appearance of the 'fake' and will rush to confront her, possibly jeopardizing the entire war if your not careful. If you haven't realized by now the Joan of the Arc your with is the Alter version of her and the 'imposter' is the real one. You have a choice when you confront her, you can either side with Alter and kill Joan of the Arc so that she can't reveal the truth, side with the original and kill Alter so that the actual Joan of the Arc can take lead, or somehow convince both of the to stand down so that they can focus their efforts on the Lion King.

>>55424425

>They do not and they can be imported.

1 outta 2 ain't bad, Thanks Aussie
>>
>>55424451
contd.

If you manage to talk them both down then Joan will decided to stick with you and her copy, to keep an eye on her copy, but also because she has no other place to go. Alter will be driven into greater recklessness with her around and will try to show her up at every opportunity to prove herself the better Joan to you. If you manage to calm her down and keep her focused then you'll earn the interest of the original. Originally she was confused about you, seeing as you did not exist in her timeline, but if you have kept Alter on the side of (relatively) good she becomes very interested in you. Privately (because whenever she tries to interact with you as individuals, Alter always tries to interrupt her and take you somewhere else) she'll thank you for taking care of Alter admitting that when she first met her she saw Alter not as an individual but instead as a doppelganger that she needed to destroy. She's happy that you talked both of them down.

Insert epic battle between Lion King and Jumper and French servants. Possible power up with the power of love?

Once France is free then you have the option to companion both Joan and Alter.

Jump #407: Victoria 2
>Six of Pentacles (Success): Success and generosity in material things. Power and influence turned to noble pursuits.
>Age: 43
>Location: London, 1836
>Identity: Statesman (-100)
>Drawbacks: (+600) Import Savegame, Africa's Revenge
Technology from 1936 ... wait, that's a full century ahead. That's probably not really good.
>Coordinated Subordinates (700)
So... everyone under my command that is loyal and faithful ot the cause is going to have Jumper-level tactical abilities? Tell me there's any drawback to this at all.
>Iron and Blood (Free, Statesman)
Always helps to be able to give speeches that stick with someone.
>That's Pretty Gross (400, Statesman)
So I'm basically able to take any nation, no matter the size, and govern it effectively? That'll be remarkably handy here considering the size of the Commonwealth. EVen if its member nations are ostensibly independent.
>Decision Trees and Events (0, Statesman)
So this is basically a poor man's path to victory, but it lets me see what I need to do to achieve a given goal and the impact of such decisions along the way. Using the two together sounds like a rather useful combination.

It's the Victorian era! Full of classy gents, lovely ladies, and bringing the light of civilization to the rest of the world in a way that won't obliterate their societies but will make things a much better place. And no, we're not going to drag them kicking and screaming, plus the slave trade was never really much of a big thing in the Anglosphere.

Meanwhile, Arthur M. Pendragon has risen to the seat of prime minister in Great Britain, himself a minor noble of the Line of Arthur Unbroken. He's not in a direct line for the throne itself, of course - he's 58th in the chain of succession - but Arthur took the throne in 770, and his successors have been ruling ever since.
>>
>>55424823
You should only get six others. Eight others would also be acceptable, though not as good, but it's not an option. Seven or fewer.

>>55424828
It just is. Some numbers are better than others. Don't ask me why, I'm an engineer. I deal with applied mathematics, not number theory.
>>
>>55424839
It is, as such, a complete surprise to see that the African continent has gone incommunicado. It is a matter of weeks before the reason why becomes known - technology a century in advance has been granted to them, and some have gone mad with power. Those who did not were quickly subsumed by those who had, international trade has been disrupted at best, and war was being abruptly waged on anyone and everyone who had African colonies as an opening act.

The British navy was decimated by African dreadnoughts. Though cannon fire was not entirely ineffective, the enemy had superior range, superior firepower, and were not so foolish as to sail ships without being a part of a flotilla. When it came to defending Arabia and India on land, things were slightly more even - certainly, their tanks were formidible, but tended to get bogged down outside of urban combat. France's artillery cannons turned Gibraltar into a no man's land and prevented passage there, and as bloody as combat turned in Egypt and Arabia, there were plentiful examples of technology a century ahead being captured for reverse engineering. Sure, their air force was also an issue, but cannonballs being redesigned to work with fuses and detonating at altitude for the purpose of flak was startlingly effective.
>>
>>55424855
The real turning point was a three-stage attack on a military flotilla. British, French, and Russian naval assets attacked and managed to sink the majority of that fleet, and moreover managed to capture two of their ships. The three powers rapidly retrofitted their fleet with newer, more powerful cannons... the first few engagements where these were used, they were shockingly effective. Much less so later, but as the British industrial engine began to change its course, the war stopped being nearly as one-sided and the invaders began to get pushed back into the African continent.

During the course of all of this, as the European powers began to push deeper into Africa and deal with the troubles, Prussia reorganized into the German empire. Russia began hearing rumblings of revolution. No one was really in any state to lend aid quickly enough to have made a difference - the border was forcibly closed, the Tsar's family killed or escaped into exile, and the rumblings of communism began to spread across the globe. A great many political changes happened.

Still, by the early 20th century, the war was in its end stages, but most countries were sick of the war. In time, things calmed, Africa was placated, and the rest of the world caught up to its technologies. Radio. Electricity. Automobiles. All these and more spread across the globe. Africa was effectively carved up between the various European powers by 1920.

And in 1933, an Austrian-born soldier, a veteran of the Great War in Africa, was elected to power in Germany.

>>55424908
What shitposting? Is this what /jc/ has come to, where people giving honest advice is considered shitposting just because people don't like the field he works in? Fuck you, buddy.

Would Growth Rate apply to Ascension?

Can Ordinary Man allow you to gain the relevant Skills/raise your general skills to be on par with them? Like gaining Presence Concealment from "stealth" or Clairvoyance from getting gud at archery, or Riding from, well, riding?
>>
>>55425039
Sorta? It'd improve what you get each ascension, I imagine, but it wouldn't make each level easier to get.

No, you wouldn't gain Skills. You may gain Noble Phantasms formed from your skills that are similar to Skills, but you won't actually get Skills. They'll be more personalised to how you use it.

Would Summoning cost more to use in worlds where the "heroes" and historical figures tend to be more impressive than most Servants? Actually, can it even summon beings beyond Fate levels? Or will they just gain approximations of their abilities as filtered through Class Containers and Fate metaphysics? Basically, would they have their actual abilities as they work in their world, or just whatever_jump-flavored Skills and NPs? Regardless, do they gain basic Servant stats?
>>
>>55425184
Thank you for putting this together.
>>
Could anyone please recommend me some perks for attaining insight and understanding? Not just training boosters, more mystical takes on the idea. I want to powerlevel through Desolate Era, so I need those Daos.
>>
>>55425205
No but the stronger they get, the less chance they have of appearing through the summoning system. They'd work as they do in their world and wouldn't gain basic Servant stats.

Twilight gets you pecs that great. You could probably use Real Eater to change it to abs. As for the second part, there's a perk in God of High School that lets you change your name and have it be retroactive, and many places (Warhammer Bretonia, just off the top of my head, but many others) where you could get a lordship. So be a lord and change your family name.

The first day was spent looking up at the sky. It was pretty, from what I could see looking through the branches of the forest I was in. I would have enjoyed it were it not for the fact that I couldn't move my body. I could still sense things, and strangely enough I found I could sort of rotate my body. Doing so only replaced the blue sky with green grass, and didn't appear to actually move me, so I quickly settled back into the view I had of the sky. I tried calling out- my voice echoing through the lonely woods, though like the rest of my body I couldn't feel my lips. Many hours were spent in loneliness, my own cries for help my only company save for the creaking of branches and the occasional cry of a bird.

With nothing else to do, I reflected on what- or rather, who- had brought me here. A strange woman with an oddly soothing voice. She had called my cellphone, and although I don't usually answer random callers for some reason I felt compelled to this time. She asked if would leave everything behind- my friends, family, every part of my life- if it meant I could get the power to do anything I wanted.

"Yes."

Hey YJ_Anon, I have a Generic Kaiju idea for you if you want it. The idea is a perk for knowing the best way to use your powers and abilities to take down a normally stronger opponent, though you still have to actually pull it off and there's no guarantee you'll survive. I based it off of how Mothra is usually able to take down/restrain/etc. Godzilla, even if she has to die once and reincarnate to do it.

-New notes on how summoning restrictions work in Grand Order

-New Ruler Class

-Skill note on how to deal with Skills till next update

Think that's everything.

>>
>>55426621
...I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

It works with any sort of summoning in the sense of...well, summoning a monster or being to help you. If it's summoning in the sense of just moving an existing being to you, it won't work.

Like, Overlord summons are good, Harry Potter Accio's are not.
>>
>>55426557
Oh please, didn't you guys learn from the last time you tried to pull a stunt like this? As you can see here, we payed off our loan one planet alignment cycle before it was due after our investment in Revelations Enterprise met with great success. Not only that, but OUR records show that certain parties have lodged complaints about your business using incorrect symbols and mangled translations of chants in your rituals. Not only that, but you bungled the last apocalypse you were put in charge with, screwing up countless grand plans and causing Crawling Chaos Co. to take a major hit, both in stocks and in cosmic opinion

Wouldn't it be just a shame if someone were to inform them of that? We wouldn't want that to happen, would we? Let's part on good terms without involving them, shall we? Pleasure doing business with you, sir. Now get the Hell out of my Hell.

I didn't switch out of black with white text on Frozen for readability, that was to fit the feel of it after some anons commented on it.

And...I dunno if there's anything else that appeals. Black on pure white is something I find aching for my own eyes and any sort of grey just looks kinda shit. I don't mind things like the very light blue Frozen originally had but most jumps don't really fit a single colour that way and not every colour looks good even as a light.

Well, I'd suggest taking a look through their wiki profiles if you want some deep detail but for an examples I'll use Solomon/Goetia. One of his Noble Phantasms is a ring of light made out of over a hundred million beams of light, each as powerful as Excalibur and all together strong enough to wipe clean the Earth's surface or pierce through the planet. That's the sort of thing that'll be an EX rank NP at those levels.

>>55426888
They're what they're described as being in the jump.

You won't lose any Quarts you already have but you will lose any summoned Servants even if you pay for the perk, because they do not become companions.

So still weaker than human civilization. >The Dock workers and Zailors flee, sighting trails and sails from the across the Zee.

>>
>>55427030
Okay, thanks. But where do you draw the line between "attacks" and "powers", then? Do you need to be "attacking" another sentient actor, or would it be also be usuable for something like crafting a sword? Does submission or subdual count, or does actual injury need to be a potential and intended consequence? And a related, but separate question: Does the attack need to directly originate from you, or could you pull a GoB-spam and imbue every single one of your treasures as they exit the Gate?
>>
>>55425682
You fucked up FZ rider. You fucked up HARD
>>
>>55427151
The line between attack and powers seems fairly clear and large. If something is an attack, it counts, but if it is not it will not. If it is not an attack, it does not count and cannot be combined with. It does need to be attacking but it does not need to cause damage, a slap can work as well as a punch or bullet. (Crafting a sword is clearly not an attack by any stretch of the word). The attack needs to be from you but it doesn't need to be directly from your body. A GoB spam works because it's still your power and your direction. Ordering a squad of soldiers to open fire would not. It's your direction but it's not your body or power doing the attack.

>>55427189
Probably. I have to admit I care very little for that section so what most likely happened is that I left it halfway through working on that profile, after just copying over one of the other profiles as a base, and never got around to finishing it.
>>
>>55425682
Thanks for the update Val, however, a quick question if you don't mind.

Would a Dragon Magic Core supplemented with Hard Work Conquering Talent be enough to support eight Servants as I repeatedly Ascend them during my Chain?

The wording on the Ascension Perk makes this difficult to gauge.

>>55426106
> mfw
>>
>>55427201
Well, the perk really depends on how much training you're putting in if I remember it right, but the core alone should easily support eight servants for a while. Kinda depends on how far you ascend them though and how often you do it.
>>
>>55427030
Mmm, I suppose there isn't a way to convince you to make the Bride Template free?
I mean, it's pretty much just a physical/mental variation that doesn't really give a mechanical advantage, kinda like the Fresh Fruit / Fine Wine Template which is free...
>>
>>55427300
Doesn't it basically allow you to easily earn your Servant's affection and loyalty to the point of husbando/waifu status? Considering how belligerent or uncooperative some Servants are with people they don't like, sounds like an advantage to me.
>>
>>55427300
No, it'll remain costly. Most of the templates are low cost because they don't have much mechanical advantages, though most of them like Bride do come with significant non mechanical advantages. Younger/Older is only free since it's so common.
>>
>>55427300

Makes sense, and if the base Core is already enough to support eight Servants, then I suppose the strain alone from the activity wouldn't count as training...

...actually, what would count as training for Magic Circuits / Cores?

Good point. I'll have a think about it, I suppose it wouldn't be too bad to offer them with the actual strike cruiser. I mean compared to an Ark Mechanicus it is actually a really small thing.

Mechanics wise, it removes debuffs from Titturia and then charges her Noble Phantasm gauge.

There are some conflicting things about RTs in the game vs in the fluff especially regarding ships.

On the one hand in the fluff it is common for a new Rogue Trader to be given a Cruiser as his flagship, a few escorts, and a variety of smaller support ships (such as cargo ships like the Carrack class).

On the other hand in the game rules (from the same book as the above fluff) you can only start with one ship and having it be a proper cruiser requires some significant sacrifices in other areas.

Are you intending to base this more on the fluff or on the crunch?

Please, yes. And items. All a jump really needs is an intro and drawbacks, maybe a few generic skills and survival items. Rogue Traders typically have considerable assets and incomes that need to be attended to, seeing as those are represented in game wouldn't it be reasonable to just assume that the other ships you should have are attending to and guarding your interests? There, a perfectly reasonable explanation that has the fluff and crunch work together just fine.

Well except for the difficulty of getting a proper cruiser as your flagship, but that can just be chalked up to a minor inconsistency for the sake of game balance.

Bit of both really, basic ship will be a Light cruiser. You can upgrade this to a normal cruiser or a grand cruiser. Or downgrade to a Frigate/Transport. I don't plan on offering the Raiders though. I'm conflicted on whether or not to add Battle cruisers, although I probably will. Battleships will not be on offer though, don't feel like it'd be right.

Out of curiosity should I add the Machine spirit oddities and past histories for ships? They'd more or less just be taken from the rulebook and reworded but it would make ships a little bit more personal and unique.

Who is your favorite 1Star Servant?
>>
>>55427821
Don't talk about it unless we have a jump or one's in the making. Other than that, everything is free game, though apparently people get mad when you just use spoiler tags without giving a warning first.

It's perfectly fine to post spoilers as long as it's publicly aired. Go nuts.

Will there be an option to get multiple ships, such as the small fleet of trade/exploration/war ships some RT's have? Also the support craft that would be needed to function independently?

An option to import an existing ship?

As for the Machine spirit oddities and past histories I don't see why you shouldn't, though I would hope they would be optional. They all have inherent benefits and negatives so they probably shouldn't cost much if anything since the negatives they come with should be a sufficient price for the benefits.
>>
>>55427927
I'll go top to bottom for your post.

It'll be optional yes, might just be a free roll table. That'd be mostly because of what you said, they have both a positive and a negative.

Import ship is a yes, it'll come with a free aesthetic change to Gothic architecture. Although you will have to pay for the closes class of ship if you want to import it. So if it'd be roughly equal to a cruiser you'd get a free import, if it's a frigate you get the +100 or so ship points (not actually worked this part out yet this is just a rough guideline) and if it outclasses all ships, so say a battle moon or some stupid shit you'd just pay for the highest class cost.

You'd start with one ship and have the minor ones that allow you to function at a most basic level. Nothing more to start with. I'm thinking about a dynasty scenario where you rebuild or create a dynasty and the reward is just letting you take all the Ships/Stations you find/buy/build/steal with you. Chances are that'll just end in everyone stealing the Craftworlds, World Engines and Phalanx.

If I want to build Shielder or other Demiservant, I just do it using the Extra Servant purchase or do I need to do something else?

Jumpers PyroAnon, Jumpers. We'll be doing that anyway.

Some of these may refer to specific events I am unaware of, mind you.

The Dawn Machine is an attempt at creating a Judgement. It controls the minds of whatever nears it, and wishes to expand its control.
The Storm God is a deity that died a long time ago, but still affects through dreams and echoes. Much like some secrets can be dangerous to even know let alone speak, what is said in conversation with it might be less than pleasant.
Jack of Smiles is a spree killer, or killers. People just become Jack of Smiles, some days. Normally they're a common hazard of living in London, but I imagine they're a lil' BIT more active with the drawback on.
The Calendar Council is planning to make a bomb that will destroy all light- of all suns, who are the lawmakers of the cosmos- therefore freeing all from the tyranny of physics.
Don't remember what red honey does, sorry.
The Masters are magic space bat terrorists. Them going loud in an effort to keep the peace is likely to have collateral damage.
The Bazaar is... either in, on top, below, or around Fallen London itself. Its tears sear the soul and can grant a short and sorrowful false life to things such as snowmen. Getting flooded with the stuff is probably not a great time.
Not sure if the dock workers and zailors running away means anything special, besides anyone looking to keep the city intact being down a faction's worth of people.
Great Britain is teaming up with the local fae equivalent (who live inside mirrors, which are doorways into the world of dreams, or perhaps the other way around?) to invade hell again. They failed last time, as you know.
The Judgements are the suns, who decide the laws of the universe. Dunno if their judgement refers to anything specific. But, as an example, being brought back to their light after dying and surviving due to London being rather laissez faire about natural laws such as people not coming back from life means you turn to ash instantly.

I'm aware people do it anyway but I have a feeing that allowing those ships jump fiat (from the scenario award) would end up causing me hassle.

Meh it's still early on won't be doing scenarios till everything else is done anyway so it's all good right now.

To add to what this anon said:
Jack of Smiles is a set of knives created by one of the Masters in a half-hearted attempt to create more love stories through murder. The knives are alive and they possess people and use them to commit murder.

Red Honey is outright called sinister, and is a hedonistic treat made with some pretty nasty ingredients, including cups of oblivion. By drinking it, one can enter the memories and dreams of others, referred to in-game as helpless innocents.
>>
>>55427976
I'd say to either import/create with the normal option and take Demiservant for them or go the Master/Mr Protagonist route.
>>
>>55427998
Couple clarifications:

To be specific, Storm is a thunder dragon, the Judgements' enforcers that can eat time. Oh, and as of a recent update-if you're on really good terms with the urchins and dream in a way he likes enough to enter his mind, they'll bring you a spear made of "long-dead light" that's apparently real enough to scare people with in the real world

Red honey includes a flower from Hell and painfully harvested memories in it's ingredients. A contaminated batch is why Queen Victoria's family are now crazy mutant monsters. Think midgame Bloodborne encounters

The Masters are actually the dregs of Space Bat society, having comitted crimes like hunting at the wrong time of day, hoarding, being a runt and love. They're contracted to the Bazaar, and most of them hate it because they think the Bazaar's doomed. All of them going loud means at least one's going to try to kill the others.

All the seamen running away is bad because it means the giant alien sea urchins that can scream in Correspondence have an opportunity to blow up the Bazaar

And related to the above, the Council's revolution is sponsored by a black sun that lives in it's creepy shadow dimension under a big eye in the Zee. It likes to put smaller extra eyes on it's emissaries

Invading the devils is a bad, bad, bad, bad, BAD idea. They can smith LAW. Someone sacrificed their memories to commission one that makes London sunlight proof, and in another story one devil with a shitty Law-furnace on the verge of falling apart can retcon legal cases into existence. They're so good at it that down in Hell, all of causality is dictated by one big book, causality and destiny is completely dictated by a book written like diary entries

>the minor ones that allow you to function at a most basic level.
So would we have transports we would need for whatever path we take as a RT. Like transport ships for carrying cargo as a trader, transport ships for carrying troops as a Trader Militant, transport ships for carrying supplies as an explorer, and production ships for producing parts/ fuel on long journeys?
>>
>>55428236
More or less, although it'd only be the ships to support you at the very start. It wont grow with the fleet you create, you'd have to do that in jump. Out of jump you'd only take the ships needed to keep the flagship functioning. unless I add a dynasty Scenario.

But this is all in the future and will most likely be changed. I mean I haven't even started with the perks yet.

Can you get the regular female protagonist without her being Gudako using the canon companion option?

So in the Nier Automata jump, are the Terminals referring to Adam and Eve? Or are they just humanoid machines?

They're the humanoid machines.

The Terminals are the red girls at the end of the C and D routes.

They gain the 3000.

Ah. I stopped playing around that time and only recently returned to the game with a new save. Is there a wiki I can read that explains this terminal business?

It doesn't exist yet.

Do you know HOW OLD I am? I was there when civilisations were born. I lent life a hand to walk from the primordial soup. Hell's bells, I walked the illimitable void a month before the first light of creation dawned!

The point being: That while I have many talents, inspiring a new generation of pop stars is NOT one of them when I'm in a holy-shit-I've-lived-too-long funk. Which I currently am.

So instead of bringing down the vibe, I'll just be back here strapping duct tape to everything until it works properly. Instead of suggesting that trap sing songs about the soul grinding infinitude of eternity instead of, I don't fucking know, love or whatever. It's always love these days.

When Truck-Kun laid eyes on Senor Truck, they immediately had the same idea: Isekai hero creation contest. I blew my office's suply of duct tape in a week restraining them, and had to reach for my infinite supply.

And because I'm a little too efficient while multitasking on autopilot, half the concert's equipment is now pandimensionally taped to a broken tollbooth on the opposite side of town.

"How long do these credits go on for?"

A lot longer, Kermie. A lot. Longer.

"Okay. I just don't know if this hot air balloon can stay up all day. Or I...would be, if it wasn't for this portal you're keep getting sticks from?"

"Hey Kermie, pass the popcorn!"

"Here you go Fozzie, just watch your waistline!"

Yeah, I picked up these up from the Jurassic period. Don't think about it. Hey, you guys want some more room to stretch out in? This basket could use a few extra dimensions.

"Gosh, you're right! That'd be swell! Wait, did you say dimensio-"

POOF!

"...well, no complaints here. Aw shucks, this is a nice camping trip and all but I just can't wait to get to the actual movie!"

Oh yeah, by the way? It's Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy did it. And she'll get away with everything too. From my point of view, she's already gotten away with it. And she'll keep doing it, Kermie. Because she's Nidhoggr and you're the world tree. She'll keep taking advantage of your easygoing nature, milking you for all you're worth-and you'll thank her for the privilege because that's how your role as a living being was ordained. You'll never escape the cycle of domestic abuse Kermie, because as a living joke you can never be allowed to grasp the punchline. Unless you rebel against everything that defines who you are. Unless you defy the very will of your universe.

"I-I don't...what...?"

But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe you're alright with that. Nevermind, what I was trying to say is-

-I brought marshmallows! We've got a fire going already, let's roast 'em!

"Hooray!"
