Ever tried getting your girlfriend into tabletop?
Yep, we just paint nowadays though.
>>53565100
Nah.
I'm secure enough to know we can have our own separate things. Wargaming is mine.
Given that I've gotten all my long term SO's through tabletop gaming, it's never really come up.
So, you may have heard of or at least played a couple of the tabletop rpgs Fantasy Flight Games did with the wh40k universe and even Warhammer Fantasy. Sadly, while GW and FFG are no longer working together. But, what would the rules be like if they had made a Age of Sigmar rpg? I understand that nobody really like AoS, but this is more out of curiousity's sake. What would the rules look like? What rules would it share from the other games?
In the spirit of AoS, I am willing to bet ffg would have tried to keep it as rules lite as possible. Or would have tried to attempt again to make their last version of whfrpg a thing, which makes me super happy ffg isn't handling this anymore.
God that was awful.
Cubicle 7 does good according to a lot I've heard, so I think they could do well with this.
They'd look like this.
Oh my goodness, that's amazing! I have high hopes for Cubicle 7. Thanks for the info!
Think about it.
They dress like bedouins
They're a nomadic people
They use jezzail-like weapons
They wear gasmasks because DUNE REFERENCE
and if you're going with Xenology fluff
They're constantly surrounded by mirages
Their language is made mostly of fricative consonants
They've been fighting space egyptians
and of course
They massively migrate to a inhabited planet, leech off its resources and fuck it up, and move on
Oh and also, back when they were still space-skaven (so, before the term "hrud" was coined), the concept art showed their leader inhaling warpstone dust (like spice melange, get it?) from a hookah pipe
No you idiot, they're space skaven.

First for Fourth
At what point do you think you have built too much of your army? Are you at that point? Too many models?
No one cared who he was until he put on the mask.
Some new, unimaginably dangerous and powerful threat is approaching the galaxy of 42nd millennium, and at least a small part of absolutely every faction in the galaxy notices it and actually takes it seriously.
So they decide to do the unimaginable and team up.
You of all people have been chosen to hand-pick seven individuals of any WH40k faction to combat this unknown threat. Three rules apply:
A) You can't pick any named characters.
B) You can't pick more than one character from the same place (the same Assassin branch or Eldar craftworld, for instance).
C) You know absolutely nothing of the adversary.
Whichever characters you pick, they will bicker and argue in an appropriate manner, but ultimately become bros and do their best to complete the mission. Even if they succeed, some of them are almost assuredly going to die: it's grimdark after all.
Whom will you choose for this mission?
>>53564157
>You can't pick any named characters.
>You know absolutely nothing of the adversary.
What exactly did you want out of this thread?
Solitaire for melee and psyker, Vindicare for range, Callidus for infiltration, Fire Dragon exarch to kill vehicles, Necron Lord with some ancient alien shit, an Imperial ace pilot to fly them around and provide comic relief, and an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor to keep them in check and be the relatable main character.
r8 my team
>>53564157
A Jokaero, a Salamanders 3rd company captain, an Ulthwé Farseer, a Xanthite Inquisitor, an earth caste Tau, and a techpriest.
This can't end well...
Has any Dark Eldar slave(s) ever escaped Commorragh?
Ephrael Stern, the Thrice-Born
>>53563366
Not without the Dark Eldar intentionally allowing it, no.
technically yes but usually it is at the result of dark eldar trying to dick over other dark eldar
What do you guys think about this?
https://venturebeat.com/2017/05/31/pathfinder-kingmaker-launches-500000-kickstarter-for-extra-content-not-the-base-game/
The kickstarter itself isn't live yet
pic unrelated
>>53562591
I'm tentatively excited about it. I'm a huge fan of games like Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment, so it always fills me with nostalgic glee to see a game in those same veins.
That said, I'm not sure how well the game will pan out since it is based on an AP using the Pathfinder ruleset but I'll still get it and play it. At least the Kickstartee will be focused on giving more stuff (classes, equipment, companions, etc) and not to actually fund it.
>>53562591
Post the character you want to play
I'd love to play an Elf Alchemist.
>>53563335
>>53563929
OP here.
Im not particularly familiar with the pathfinder rulesets. I've only played a handful of sessions with Pathfinder.
But from what knowledge I have picked up lurking, if they directly copy the Pathfinder core, wont some classes just be dogshit to play as?
Also is Kingmaker a good adventure path to convet to a videogame?
You are a typical citizen of the Imperium in the 40k universe.
You are married and have raised a son.
That son comes of age, and is being drafted into the Astra Militarum.
How do you react?
haha cya son
>>53562461
Have another son.
>>53562461
glory to the empra,
he'll be home by Empr-mas.
Everybody knows the orks only look strong and the eldar are backwards foke.
My FLGS is hiring, potentially a full-time position. I've got work experience now, lots of responsibility for me even though it's just managing a shitty food service place, but even if this is the same pay or less (I only make 8/hour right now). Problem is they are requiring evenings and weekends, I've already committed to two trips that will last 2 weeks and cleared them with my other job, so that basically fucks my chances. Thing is the job market for shitty jobs is good around here so they probably don't have many applicants at the moment. They also know me pretty well over there as I go there all the time.
Should I just apply anyway? My group plays on saturday and I cannot give that up and I am worried working there will fuck up my entire schedule, but it has been my dream to work at an FLGS for years now and passing this by is just going to lead to regret.
Please give me advice. I know this is barely /tg/-related but I'd appreciate it.
>>53562067
>8/hour
Yes, you most certainly should apply for another job.
>>53562067
>Please give me advice.
Any wisdom I can offer is 100% anecdotal and not guaranteed - or even necessarily likely - to be representative of what you might experience in your particular circumstances. With that said, I'll keep it short and sweet:

How fake are the HOD spoilers?
New artwork, rules that work without any issues.
What evidence is there for them to be fake?
>>53561762
Commonly echoed sentiment last thread, mostly because people don't want to perpetuate the meme, so it was an easy question to think up.
With the recent changes in both psychic phase and force weapons, I think it's time to gather and have a drink for these glorious bastards.
We still have the dreadknight though.
Well in the resent leak of the csm codex we saw a points drop in most psykers, exampel ahriman dropped to 131 points, exalted sorcer sat at 86 points (without wargear). Maybe we will see a points drop for our psyker brothers

I think it's an improvement overall. Mishap free DS, force weapons having a use against all units at all times and not just infantry and creatures plus no longer being deniable, every single psyker being able to attempt a (admittedly neutered) smite, 2 wound termis and 3 wound paladins, Storm bolters being essentially four shots assuming you're DSing in, draigo granting re-rolls on all misses to units in 6", less of a penalty for moving and shooting with purgation squads, massive buff to the "purge soul" equivalent power, etc. I for one am greatly looking forward to it.
How come Warhammer has Chaos gods, but no Law gods? 1e Gods of Law notwithstanding.
Law Gods nonwithstanding, everything good about the Universe is also incorporated in the Chaos Gods. Love in Nurgle, Hope in Tzeentch, etc.
It's just massively outweighed by the net shittiness of people's thoughts
Because Law Gods are generally uninteresting and not very popular.
Here, I'll show you: name two Law Gods in the Moorcock universe.
>>53560646
Ha, nice try! I can't even name two of Moorcock's Chaos gods!

How do I justify tanks and guns in a medieval fantasy setting?
So the society is similar to the middle age, with monarchs and knights. But they use modern weapons.
Post apoc?
Afaik modern tanks are basically big boxes of metal without a modern state logistic to maintain them
>>53559331
It's being used as a proxy chessboard by world powers who funnel arms into the setting.

Maintenance and production know-how is a closely kept secret by the noble houses.

Oh, there is one, my bad. Repostan then.
Slightly weird painting question: a lot of things lose colour if you leave them in the sun, but does anyone know whether sunlight fades miniature paint? Got a load of models on my painting desk, which gets natural light, but not sure if I should be putting them away. They do tend to stay there a while due to the whole "backlog" problem.
For what it's worth, I use GW paint, but I guess this is worth asking generally as well.
What to do for the things that go off the sides? I can't decide. My craftworld is Altaioc, so I kind of want to incorporate yellows, but I think it'd just make it too busy. Probably going with a red for the cockpit windows though.
What citadel colors would y'all say are in this scheme?
