Didn't the old thread get nuked because certain Tyranid fangirl went overboard with celebratory rites welcoming new edition?
Posting again for replies
So lads I recently got back into 40k after a decade of withdrawal from my resin addiction and have decided to start anew with a steel legion army.
I kicked it off right away by getting a couple of models to start with:
>Commisar Yarrick
>1 infantry sqaud
>1 heavy bolter unit
>1 lascannon unit
>1 Chimera
>and to top it off one commamder.
The focus of my army is that of mechanised infantry whilst trying to stay as loyal to the fluff imperal guard structure as possible.
My route of action was that of bulking out with chimeras and masses of infantry with a couple of leman russ executioners and rounding off my heavy weapons teams.
Am i doing it right or headed down a dreaded path of no return?

Hey, /tg/. I need some random enhancements that aliens could apply to some abductees for a one-off game. Pic unrelated.

+1 to a stat
+2 to a stat if the player is female

>Pic unrelated.
you say that and yet I still read it in his voice

Double-jointed limbs.
You know what the threads about. Post weapons, request weapons. Fantasy, modern, or sci-fi.
I'm looking for late 19th-20th century guns and melee weapons, both real and not. Not too fantastical or magical though. Will post what I have. Feel free to request stuff though.

Also, meant to say early 20th century. So through to WW2.

>Set after The End War
>Other Humans survived The End War like The Hunter, others could have made deals with different Demons (including Vulgrim, Samiel or the Chosen), Angels (like Uriel), or one of the many Old Ones (like Ostegoth or Ulthane), allowing Heroic Human characters.
>All the Horsemen appeared during the end war and were accused of starting it early. Stay have since gone on the run to prove their innocence and may have even split up to cover more leads / make harder to track.
The Charred Council are recruiting capable and power warriors from across the realms, Angel, Demon, Old One, Undead.
>Hunt down the traitorous Horsemen.
>Find this mysterious Destroyer, determine how it was able to turn the Horsemen against the balance and lead the hordes of the Abyss to crush the armies of the White City.
>Patrol Earth, stop the depredations of the Demons and unceasing fury of the Angels, find any surviving Humans and protect what's left of the Third kingdom.
Working on monster stats.

List of known realms:
>The First Kingdom: Heaven, including the outpost of Lostlight.
>The Second Kingdom: Hell, including the outpost Shadow's Edge.
>The Third Kingdom: Earth.
>The Veil, realm of the Crowfather.
>The Abyss, primordial darkness from before creation, home to countless monsters.
>The Far Fields, realm of the Horsemaster and Phantom Horses.
>The Forge Lands, realm of the Makers and their Constructs.
>The Kingdom of the Dead, realm of the Dead Lords who shepherd the deceased to be cleansed of their past lives so that they may return to the Well of Souls, also home to a variety of Undead. (may include Argul's Tomb, but it greatly resembles Crowfather's Veil)
>The River Styx, A place existing between the Three Kingdoms, the Styx is a river filled with wrathful souls that became lost rather than making it to the Well of Souls and thus to the Kingdom of the Dead.
>The Charred Council's Realm, from this unknown place the Charred Council uphold the balance and send their enforcers to carry out their will.
Dead worlds:
>Eden
>Kothysos
>Ravaiim
Know methods of traversing the worlds:
>The Tree of Life/Death (exists in every realm except for earth)
>Serpent Holes, can potentially connect to every realm, requires powerful entity to manifest them (Vulgrim, Azrael, Samael, Crowfather, Archon Lucien, The Charred Council)
Sexy demon bump.
>>53579183
Possible characters concepts:
>Angel
>Demon
>Maker
>Maker-Construct
>Undead
>Abyssal Creatures
>Human that has somehow survived the Apocalypse
>One of the many types of unnamed Old Ones (Crowfather, Ostegoth, Kargon)
Its back bitches! Chapter Approved is finally coming back and the glory of awesome and fluffy lists will be upon us!.
This plus the new way to buy vehicles where the chassis and weapons are separate could potentially mean the return of Vehicle Design Rules! What are you guys expecting to come in the first chapter approved? Feral Orks? Kroot Mercs? Lost and the Damned?
Hopefully a way to look at a datasheet and see how much a fucking tank costs, without needing to add up figures from eight different locations first.
>>53578290
some shit that nobody really wants and that will require you to buy muh dels
>>53578290
Gretchin rebels please.
do tyranids eat gas giants?
seems like they should slurpie as many gas giants as possible.
jupiter alone is 75% of the planetary mass of the solar system.
WH40k doesn't care for sciences.
Yeah they never stated.
>>53577798
tyranids should convert into gas giant/ice giant herbavores. the rocky planets are basically irrelevent in terms of mass. the ice giatns in particular, have everything that nids need.
there is almost zero reason for nids to invade rocky planets. they are so small.
What does /tg/ think about the cypher system?
>>53577023
Do you see who it's by? Yeah, alright then. It's shit.
"By Monte "The dickeater" Cook" is as big of a red flag as "Published by Ubisoft" and "Online Only" on a game's package.

Huh,
What makes him so bad?
I'm reading the book right now and it looks functional
>>53577371
He purposefully put Ivory Tower game design into 3rd edition D&D. He also made 3rd Edition D&D which damaged the hobby in a lot of ways.
Many won't forgive him for this. I generally look sideways at anything with his name on it.
To the guy I was discussing about the new sm vehicle with: I was wrong, you were right. It's indeed a grav-tank. Chapeau, my friend.

Wouldn't a projectile weapon with recoil be a pretty bad idea on a hovering vehicle?
>>53574991
Who says that projectile weapon isn't its main way of transport?
Aw fuck. The living dread fortress Castlevania has arisen once again, and evil and darkness cursed the land. It won't be long before its own fully arises and solidifies his rule.
Who's going into the castle to beat some monstrous ass?
>>53574542
A far Eastern top-tier martial artist and demon hunter who happened to be in the area and

a fair bit as she dragon kicks through the castle.

What's my alignment?
Well, let's look at the Chainmail alignment chart and see what's what:
LAWFUL: Halflings, Dwarves, Gnomes, Heroes, Super Heroes, Wizards, Treants, Magic Weapons
NEUTRAL: Sprites, Pixies, Elves, Fairies, Lycanthropes, Giants, Rocs, Elementals, Chimeras
CHAOTIC: Goblins, Kobolds, Orcs, Anti-Heroes, Wizards, Wraiths, Wights, Lycanthropes, Ogres, True Trolls, Giants, Dragons, Basilisks
Given that, I think Centauri would be Neutral.

does one has to be legal when he is the emperor of an entire world?

Listen carefully: I want you to find a landline telephone and dial 9–1–1.
And if that doesn't work because the stroke has made you numerically dyslexic, dial 1–1–9.
Fight take place on random uninhabited planet with fauna roughly equivalent to Europe.
Fight 1 : Iron man has access to Any MCU suits
Fight 2 : Extremis / bleeding edge suits available.
Yes they get tanks and Chapter support, otherwise it's too e-z
>>53571292
None. I doubt he's even a match for one normal space marine
Bleeding Edge IronMan would Curbstomp anything until tired.
Then the autopilot of the suit can probably still destruct anything the imperium throw at him.
>>53571305
>None. I doubt he's even a match for one normal space marine
Movie Ironman lifts cars like it's nothing, he also has weapons that obliterate tanks in a single hit. Pretty sure he can utterly devastate a single space marine. And this without counting Hulkbuster.
If we go by the comics, he can dual wield tanks and tank nukes.
Its been awhile since this subject was last discussed and from a brief look at the most recent chapter I think the comic may actually be taking a turn for the best.
In the most recent chapter I think something big is going to happen. Based off the direction this chapter seems to be going someone other then the Drow might actually win for once. First there was the cannon but I though based off prior experience that it would just be a one time plot device that Drow will effortlessly counter, but so far it still seems to be a major threat.
Then the some golems where sent out to stop the Humans' advance and this happened.
But most importantly there was this recent page
Drowtales is going to be something other then shit for once?
Drows are winning for once?
I dropped that series because they were never winning. The demons were winning, the evil drow were winning, the maincast has yet to win *anything* they set out to do. The whole series is basically what was wrong with patreon before patreon; namely an excuse to milk a fanbase for money with special tiers of backer-ship and paywall porn.Kiel still best drow-fu.

There's a lot to like about the world if you look past some of the weaker elements (see also: every setting ever made).
What kind of campaigns could you set in the fantasy equivalent of Kentucky?

The one that's dead.
>>53546915
That'd have to be Smaug, because he had style.
>My armor is like ten-fold shields.
>My teeth are like swords.
>My claws, spears!
>The shock of my tail, a thunderbolt!
>My wings...A hurricane!!
>And my breath......DEATH.
What kind of enemies justify an alliance between angels and demons?
Humans, obviously.
>>53543255
World/reality destroying threats, given the demons want to rule the world, or given the demons want to destroy the world for some benefit to them and the other world destroying threat isn't going to give them that benefit.
