DnD 5e's sheets and alternates like this one are also really nice to look at; I love the blend of simplicity and design and those very subtle boxes to keep everything together in small categories.

Best virtual card games? IMO Pokemon TCGO is top 1. You can buy everything with in-game currency, every physical booster/deck has a code for its digital version and you can trade your cards, packs and items with other players.

I love the stuff about the passing of time and ages, and the dark things in the depths that even he never described much on.

Have you taken a look at the Torchbearer RPG? It should work fine as a base for a tabletop rendition of Darkest Dungeon; building off of that rather than from the ground up will probably save you a lot of time, effort, and headache.
