What does /tg/ think of the guy doing the "How To Be A Great GM" channel on youtube?

Some of his advice seems sound and hes given me some solid new ideas but I find myself disagreeing with him on a few topics.

Is being a good GM just subjective or what?

So lets say, 6 months from now, Cawl and starts a war between himself, those declared for him, and the rest of the Imperium (probably the rest of the galaxy too). The story is given a "wrath of magnus" style treatment with the campaign book, the lore updates, etc.

If you care about the story behind your dudes, will they declare for Cawl? Or will they side with the Guilliman/the incumbent FabGen? What would make you switch sides and fight against/for him?

what's your opinion on using 4e's neat abilities and spells to supplement and somewhat spice up 5 e's combat

It's rare to see this sort of a thing brought up outside D&D, but whatever - we've got way too many threads for the new edition around so let's set our sights back for a bit.

What's the best edition of Warhammer 40k? Which one in your mind has the best mechanics, the best lore? Which one evoked the best mood of a grim dark future galaxy? Which one's got the coolest models? Or which one was it that you picked up when you were twelve and never really could bring yourself to put back down?

Or, for that matter, which one did you like the worst? Which one had the worst lore, the shittiest models, etc.?

Do you think 8th edition will change this in any way?

What if the entire main cast of Trailer Park Boys was transported to the 41st Millennium and became Primaris Marines?

How does one know if they're not alpharius? Can you even know? Does Alpharius even know who Alpharius is? How the actual fuck do the Alpha legion keep things straight when certain people need to be called for? Is there really no such legion?

These are questions that require answering.

Wrote up a first draft for my dudes. Imperial Guard subterranean assault specialists. Since their planets surface was completely fucked they live in vast networks of underground tunnels (think Vietcong tunnels, but more permanent) and have gotten REALLY good at digging said tunnels. Now they dig underneath battlefields doing hit and runs, collapsing the ground underneath fortifications and rising up from beneath the imperiums enemies as a single huge assault. They also have a ravener problem and hate loud noises.
