Turns out Dark Souls is a shitty grind in multiplayer, but actually pretty fun and challenging in Solo mode with most of the grinding being un-necessary since you don't have to suit up four assholes.

It's a blatant attempt by the moderators of the channel to attempt to jew the Exalted fanbase into paying for art of the moderators OC Donut Steals. The example art put out so far is shit, and the moderators threw a shitfit earlier when someone pointed out problems.

tl;dr: It's a worse jewing attempt than the actual Exalted system itself, and it'll either produce no results or shit results.

i think thats an excellent start anon, but i feel like you shouldnt be putting to many details up yet. maybe focus on getting all land masses in, then add details in latter. For added coolness and not so much smudging, go over your pencil work with ink, wait about 10 minutes per section, then erase over it to have a crisp look it. If you plan to color it, water colors are a great tool, but make sure to use water colors first, let it dry, then go over in black ink to make details, borders, paths, etc pop more.

And whatever you do, dont get attached to your art.

But I'm basically letting ideas fall out of my head as they come to me, thus random details and no set continents. Possible, yes. Easy? No.

It's like storytime threads on /tg/. You never tell the story as it actually happened, because that will involve a lot of pauses, interruptions, tangents and other stuff which happens in the course of a game but doesn't actually make for a good or enjoyable story.

Any retelling of an RPG should be inspired by more than anything else. Take the best of the characters and the story, along with the general structure, and write it all up. Don't worry about embellishing or altering it, because adapting between different mediums isn't something you can do directly.

I always remember something 2D said in the old Shadowrun Storytime threads, that it was the movie version of the game, sped up and focusing in on the good bits. That's the way to do it.

No, because unlike a role playing game, you'll want to follow the rules of storytelling, like having three acts and a character arc.
Especially when weird shit happens caused by a crit of crit fail. It's kind of hard to think of a way how the witch hunter accidentally shot his own foot instead of one of the party members.
Unless you heavily modify it to the point where it's no longer recognizable as your campaign, it won't be good.

Space combat isn't too great, especially for fighters. The upside is it works exactly like ground combat so it's easy to grasp.

Personally, I still prefer d20 to it but that's just me. (I still have conflicting emotions about Saga and never cared to try d6). I'm not a fan of the resolution system. And I've heard a lot of complaints about the space system too.

I was actually talking to someone about the differences and to boil it down and oversimplify:
FFG is more cinematic
d20 is more immersive
They can pretty much all get broken mechanically and in terms of lore by jedi characters though.
