Chromatic dragons in 5E cannot actually shapeshift, turn into humans or do any of that.
They're just dragons, now and forever.
Look at the Monster Manual. Look at it.
>>53875405
It was always like this, wasn't it? Not every dragon can shapeshift
>>53875405
Iimryth can, she's a sorcerer
Also thats metallic dragons dipshit

first for getting oral from a hydraggon
>planning on making a character
>can't figure out what game he fits in
He'd work with gestalt or not, but needs to be at least level 4 for this to work.
Grimur Nordheim, the Fiend Eater
Quite literally a Barbarian with the cannibal archetype who hunts down and eats fiends. Going to give him either Eldritch Heritage for abyssal blood, or blood rager + eldritch heritage if gestalted. The character's entire story revolves around being a weird cultural exorcist who hunts down and devours demons before they can hurt the population they're near. He'd be originally from LotLK, but travel in search of demons. At this point the strongest one he'd have taken down what ever his level is +2 CR that he killed and ate due to a lucky break.
Vandread for Darkest Daddy!
Can the exploration of scenery without puzzles or monsters ever be interesting? Yume Nikki is a beautiful game to get lost in, and exploration gaming is making a comeback these days. I would love to be able to describe a rich and colourful world full of branching paths and watercolour serenity. But that's hard to translate into an rpg group. A lot of people say it can't be done...
This works out if you play D&D B/X as it is supposed to be played. You can have a hex crawl, but you tell the players to map out things themselves and only give them verbal descriptions rather than a completed map. This is especially true of dungeon crawling where players will be required to map everything themselves. Players who are good enough at mapping will be able to find hidden rooms and the like.
>>53872367
Depends mostly on your group, you have to find and cultivate people into the roleplaying aspect.
>>53872367
In a rpgmaker game, easily even if you can't code to save your life.
On the table with people, depending on the context of the campaign and how well do the players understand that.
If they know they are playing explorers with every move they make uncover new shit as in Kingmaker, then it's easy.
hey guys,
can you guys reply with 40k memes in this thread so i can post them on /r/grimdank and get normie points so i can then shyow them to ppl and then they might become friends with me
thanjs

Thanks man
Why YGO have so many shitty designs? Anyone who played the game for a month knows why these were bullshit. Shadolls, Nekroz, Quliphorts, Performapals and performages, and now Zoodiacs.
But they keep releasing worse and worse archetypes to just limit or ban everything a few months after.
>release powerful archetype
>people buy archetype to compete
>people stop buying archetype
>neuter archetype with banlist and release even more powerful archetype
>people are forced to buy new archetype to compete
Rinse and repeat.
>>53871036
I play for the memes
So the shittier they are, the happier I am
I went to a con this summer and dueled with my blue eyes deck against a yugi cosplayer
shit was cash
>>53871036
YGO peaked in 2005. It was all downhill from there. All this archetype and xyz crap broke the entire game.
Today is a new day and a new thread. Post files with names that tickle people.
>>53869005
How the fuck do you defeat an unrelentless, unthinking enemy
Out party fucked up and released *something* from a lich's stash, a perpetually expanding gel of sorts
It seems to consume everything it touches and we haven't been able to slow it down, much less stop it
Wat do?
I'm guessing that since irlt was in a vial there just be some material or spell that can contain it...?
>>53867167
>Releasing something an amoral, immortal undead was wise enough to keep locked up.
This will probably not end well for you.
>>53867167
Does it burn?
Is there anything that eats it?
Is there anything that stops or slows it down? Salt sounds typical for a gel.
>>53867167
I feel like there was a thread about this before, with a loaf of expanding bread or something

Thread over, everyone. Let's go home.
Wizards are typically older men who squandered their youths in pursuit of knowledge (and the power knowledge brings). Now that they're accomplished in their fields, they start taking on younger female apprentices to pass on their teachings and for... companionship purposes. Because of this, women interested in learning the dark arts wear revealing clothing in order to attract the attention of lecherous old men.
Are sorceresses/witches/female casters the fantasy equivalent of gold diggers?

Presumably so he can float them in a salt solution and collect the ones that always float 20 up.
>>53860316
What flawed dice are you talking about, Rainman? The picture filename says "melted gummy vitamins".
Who has ruined Dungeons and Dragons (and tabletop games by extension) harder, Lorraine Williams or this man?
>>53858529
Lorraine Williams came first and began the whole downward spiral. Without her, Cook could never have gotten such a foothold.
She is ultimately responsible for it all.
Mearls
>>53858555
Lorraine didn't hold Cook's hand when he was writing third edition to be as awful as possible
Does anyone else ever prepare food (or just snacks) for their playgroup on Game Night?
I'm preparing some Szechuan dipping sauce.
Get Riggity Riggity Wrecked, son!
>rick and morty reference
i think i got lead poisoning from this post
>snacks?
nah if my players are starved they make more rational decisions.
>>53855575
Hey, Rick and Morty is pretty damn good. I didn't even get into it until a couple of months ago after my friends nagged the shit out of me to watch it.
Also, doing nice things for your playgroup makes for a better experience for everyone. It's not about playing a game like it's a video game. It's about having fun and everyone enjoying themselves. Making good memories and shit like that.
Do it sometime.
>>53854937
For dipping what?
We just drink craft beers.
Welcome to the Accidental Magical Girl thread!
Various worlds and multiverses have become connected together via the mysterious Overcity, a sprawling landscape inhabited by monsters and magical beings. Girls and boys endowed with their new supernatural powers can work together solving conflicts that arise!
>This is NOT a greentext adventure style CYOA with one GM and thread posting to dictate the adventure, but rather a hub thread for multiple storycrafters to use.
This thread houses three systems: First, QuasarBlack's CYOA PDFs which may be used as writing prompts. Second, AMGC which expands on the CYOA character creation and provides rules for combat. Finally, the SCS is an alternative to AMGC with a similar purpose. IRC uses mostly AMGC and Discord uses mostly SCS.
Post builds, roleplay, write stuff.

The CYOA's Patron Module, which determines just who bestows your character's magical abilities. But be wary, for not all of these patrons are after your best interests...
This PDF is for AMGC 1.14, one of the two usable PNP systems for playing as a magical girl.
It features 10 additional powers and 20 extra perks, as well as combat actions, point buy, and more. Note that this is NOT the same as the CYOA, and uses its own methods of character generation.

The SCS was made as an addon to the CYOA to cover the combat side of roleplaying. It allows players to easily take characters made in the CYOA v1.5 and use them in Quests and long-running campaigns alike. Note that this system DOES require you to have a character made in the CYOA in the OP first.
This PDF covers the core rules of gameplay, as well as the methods of improvement and various spells and items magical girls use.
>Expansions to the SCS can be found in this link

These expansions include
>Order & Chaos; Friend & Foe (OC&FF): Details on the mechanical workings of Patrons, Dark Magical Girls, Monster Girls (both natural and corrupted), and also includes a bestiary
>Worlds & Wishes (W&W): Details various GM tools and a few player tools, including the function of Mundane weapons, Alternate/Optional Rules, Various tips and tricks for GMing and Roleplaying, as well as Augments for players looking for a little extra power after CharGen. It also includes the conversion process for AMGC characters into the SCS.

codification of a power curve which Bolt was way, way above, along with an encouraged emphasis on creatures and, by extension, a weakening of spells.
I'm really not clear on the point of this bait. Should someone be angry that newer direct damage is weaker than what is pretty inarguably one of the top 5 efficiency cards ever printed, and the only one to make it out of Unlimited?
