Seriously, just ban electronics at the table in person. Sure, set the phone on vibrate and just keep it in your pocket, that's reasonable, but if you have to call or text, excuse yourself from the table and come back when you're ready to give your undivided attention to the group and the game. You'll find that the disconnection from media will actually relax you, and you'll have a much better time engaging with everyone.

I tend to not bother with rules. If a player really wants to make them an item, they'd probably give a bonus in some social situations and be functional as an improvised or concealed weapon.

Because if you're in a setting where adventurers are in high heels, you're clearly prioritising aesthetic over authenticity and you might as well follow through rather than half arsing it.

No. 5E paladins aren't really paladins anymore (which is good). Alignments are dumb and 5e essentially does away with them. Likewise, making the paladin fall is the cheesiest, least entertaining narrative hook ever.

The pacts are roleplay suggestions that are almost always ignored or at the very leash should be taken as placeholders for something agreed upon by the player and the DM.
