>Demons are made up of warp stuff.
>Demons can possess sentient beings, such as humans.
>This allows them to interact with the material world.

>The Chaos gods are made up of warp stuff.
>They stay in the warp and don't possess anyone (to my knowledge.)
Why is that? Wouldn't that give them a major advantage? Or is their something above I'm wrong on?

The Chaos Gods can't leave the warp.
>>
>>54200993
Why not? What's the worst that could happen?
>>
A Chaos God trying to possess a mortal is sort of like trying to fit a river in a water balloon.

It just pops immediately, there was no hope of it ever working, and it wasn't even a very interesting experiment.

Hey /tg/, I've got a problem player and I've talked with 3/5 of the other people in the group, they agree that this person is a problem player.

But this person is also a sociopath high schooler who could potentially ruin another of the player's lives (I asked him about it and he was like "Yeah, that's why I didn't say anything")

Wat do?

We're gonna need some additional context for this one OP

Ruin another player's life in what way? If he's a high schooler why do you hang with him? If he's threatening to do something shitty just tell his parents lol
>>
>>54198611
Like what?
That's why I made it short, cause I expected questions.

>>54198616
Popular kid and unpopular kid, that kinda shit. Pretty sure the parents don't give a fuck, they play the pro victim.

What is wrong with liking Glorantha?
Honestly it's one of the few really good and more than servicable tabletop RPGs settings I've seen and like to read about.
Very colorfull, a setting that makes me FEEL!
I don't see how one could dislike it.

what roles outside of combat can mechs be used for.

and please no "mechs are stupid/cant exist irl because x" , your adding nothing to the conversation and limiting your own imagination.

I wouldn't say Friend Computer is fat, but when Friend Computer sits around Alpha Complex, Friend Computer really sits AROUND Alpha Complex. Because Friend Computer encompasses all of Alpha Complex's systems for the good of all citizens, and not being all-encompassing would be insufficient. Implying Friend Computer is insufficient is treason. Treason is punishable by death.

The Computer is my Friend. Friends can roast Friends in a happy and non-traitorous manner. Only commie mutant traitors do not understand roasts. Happiness is mandatory. Unhappiness is treason. Treason is punishable by death.

In good settings, wizards can't warp reality.
>>
Any setting with wizards limits their power so they don't literally run the world with an iron fist. That's usually why the pointy metal stick does enough damage to kill the magic man.

If there are only 1 million space marines (maybe more because some chapters don't obey the rules), how are they at all a relevant faction in 40k? There are quadrillions of orks.

Unless a chapter of space marines can single handedly take down 1 billion orks, I don't see how they are useful to the imperium. Even if each space marine could take 100 orks, an invasion of 1 million orks could easy take 1000 space marines.

This.

Or, to put it another way: by being the focus of a senseless story that doesn't care about cohesion or consistency, where the story exists solely to serve the visual entertainment.

What's your favorite way of dealing with shipboard gravity? Full realism, Treknobabble, or just saying that ships have artificial gravity and ignoring the why?
>>
>>54191835
Full realism. Even those"constant acceleration" ships is too soft for me. I want to see some spins or no gravity.

As someone who has become a little tired of high medieval fantasy im looking to run something set much much earlier in European development, to the tune of 450 to 650 ad, and Im looking for help narrowing down what and how things where different. What did they have and use? what didnt they have? what sort of standard conventions would be good to change? Information on all areas of Europe would be appreciated, though my game will take place in either Britten or Germany, as of yet undecided.

There really weren't differences, that's the whole point of the Middle Ages. Most things stagnated.
The Roman Empire fell apart, and the pieces just sort of stayed there.

I guess the Byzantine Empire (read: Roman Empire, sans the city of Rome) were still relevant back then?
There's a guy in the OSR general who likes talking about the Byzantines. Don't think he's on right now, but maybe ask there?

The Middle East was more interesting back then.
The Arabs hadn't taken over yet, so the Persians Iranians owned most of it.

basically you have tribal germanics sacking and destroying cities and civilised peoples, rome falling apart, huns and turks invading, etc

What alignment do you most enjoy playing? Why?

(Reminder: any alignment can be played badly, and any alignment can be played well)

NC because it's least constraining, you can do virtually anything and it will be "in character". Or LE because rules without ethics is my favorite take on dystopia.
>>
>>54185033
My most common is Neutral Good "wants the best for others, and it would be cool if the rules allowed it but there's still wiggle room if not" for usual hero stuff, but I've probably had the most fun with Chaotic Good "fuck the rules, this is the right thing to do and anyone who stops me can get punted or have a nice day depending on how they ask" characters.

"to bring about the rule of righteousness in the land, to destroy the wicked and the evil-doers; so that the strong should not harm the weak."
