What system could you use to run a game set in this universe during the coup? The player characters could all have minor powers like the whalers at the start and then split runes in whatever way they desire as the game progresses.

Poking around in a cave network our low level party reached an opening high up on the wall of a large cavern.

Couple of us got really good rolls for perception. Whatever it was was big, the vague description was kind of manticore like not that our characters knew that.
We were the kind of party who managed to have people trip over and fall into the camp fire when confronted by a pack of wolves in the forest.
We didn't wait round to check if it could squeeze it's way into the tunnel we were in we just ran and prayed whatever exit it came and went by was a long way away from the entrance we used.

In SR the Johnson wanted the party to steal a prototype of a new Ares crowd control tank.
The moment the Johnson hit the door of the shitty cafe we met in, my character immediately started arguing we should pass. Didn't convince the rest of the party, they were snared by the payday.

Should he have brought the weapon? Should he not have brought it? He wasn't swinging it around either, just put it on the table and was giving a description of what was happening in-game.

If your DM is mentally sound and was not being menacing with it, then the problem is with the player. They may not have spent much time around weapons (for hunting or whatever) in their life, so it might seem like a bigger deal to them than it really is

There are no rules for making vampire PCs, only vamipre NPCs. If your DM doesn't OK it, you're shit outa luckJust play a mutant character and hope you get one of the super OP and easy to hide mutations

Hey, i need help to make a random encounter table for 5e.
This is the situation: i'm running a campaign with a paladin, a cleric, and rogue. The cleric and the paladin are agents of the goddes of water, and the rogue is sticking with them because he owes some money to a bunch of different gangsters and he needed protection. At some point he commited a crime against the party, so he was sent to trial before the temple, and after being found guilty he had two options: one, to swear total loyalty to the service of the goddess (sticking with the party). Or two, facing the judgment of the goddess directly (that is, being thrown at the sea).
So, i need ideas about how to execute the second option; my obvious idea was to make a random encounter table, with sharks, dolphins, etc. which i would roll every 5 miles (and he is going to get thrown around 15 miles from shore), and make him roll some constitution saving throws to see if he gains points of exhaustion.
So, /tg/, how can i make this interesting? How much does he has to roll? Do you have any other better idea? How difficult should it be? Remember that it has to be funny, probably not many people can swim that far but i don't want it to be a definitve death for him.
