My Dark Heresy group needs to be kicked in the dick a little. I specifically had their inquisitor rendered comatose at the begging of the campaign to limit the infinite powers of the inquisition. They're still whipping out their d̶i̶c̶k̶s̶ rosettes at every possible opportunity, complaining when this does not render their target into absolute compliance, and potentially makes people uncomfortable or angry. This to the degree of assuming that armed guards should not react to them striding out of a room full of corpses in a negative manner. So, what sort of consequences should parading around their inquisitorial status have? I've been pretty toothless the first two sessions, and I want them to feel powerless to a degree, they are not the inquisition, they are children playing inquisitor, and there are powers far bigger than them at play.

There are merchant guilds and nobles who wouldn't appreciate some acolytes coming in and throwing their carefully balanced money mill into disarray. There are gangs that don't want the extra attention that these acolytes will bring into an area. Hell, even the local authorities might decide that they need to be controlled and have them brought in.

ANY definition of /sp/orts you have MUST include chess and snooker. They are sanctioned by a governing body, thus making them a sport and not a folk game like 8 ball.

I'm not talking about their strength, which is pretty good from my experience so far. I'm talking about their customisability.
I have some gun trukks (one with the sexy flakk gun) that I hoped to field in-game, as well as a couple of Looted Wagons. As of 8th "your army is still valid" edition, neither of these units exist anymore.
I got an email back from Forgeworld to say that the Battle Fortress doesn't have rules because it is no longer sold... despite, you know, the Repressor and the other several dozen things they no longer sell getting updated rules:

To be fair, they didn't check that the Kill Tank would be a better fit, as it has transport capacity etc in 8th. I'd still prefer the actual KBF though.
To make use of my flakk gun, I'd have to rip it off my trukk and buy a big trakk - this despite the fact that Forgeworld sells 2 (!) different trukks that are designed as weapon platforms, as well as the weapons themselves. And on the GW front, no Looted Wagon rules.
Orks got made very bland and boring in this edition, for no real reason.

It's called streamlining. Expect a lot of extraneous and older things to start vanishing in order to make the game more appealing and easier to get into for new fans. I suspect this effect will eventually apply to unsupported factions like Sisters of Battle, as the imperium already has faction bloat and the SoB's have heavy overlap with the inquisition.
If I was a GW designer, i'd be aiming my hatchet at SoB's and elements of the inquisition and splitting the IoM factions up thusly:
Space Marines
Imperial Guard
Inquisition
Ecclesiarchy (SoB and some IQ elements, their own units)
Mechanicus
Grey Knights would be folded into Inquisition instead of being their own army
You may hate me, you may think it's bad design, but having 4 primary Imperial armies with options is better for improving transient pick-up. Instead of the cluster fuck of minor imperial factions we have now.
In other area's I would expand, like bringing back the Eldar Exodites as a faction. But the Imperium needs trimming

XCOM would be great honestly. Make sure he raises all the target numbers for shots so you get lots of misses.

Played a tiny bit of regular Deadlands, don't remember much of it.
And I know, I did a oneshot based on the original. Things got hilarious when the team's heavy kicked down a door, rushed the Sectoid inside and punched it the fuck out for interrogation, then proceeded to use his AT-4 on the EXALT agents trying to take the alien corpses/artefacts for themselves. Great session, although I probably should've had more aliens.

What we're going for are items that are undoubtedly magical, but completely useless/obsolete. There should be no reason at all to have/use these items.
