Shit, this isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Great for a single hero, not so good for a group of heroes. Couldn't I have got 'End of the Rainbow', dammit?

Best I got is doing a classic "heroes arising from the ashes of their hometown who seek justice on the Dark Lord Ap'ostro'fee"
Maybe play around with "a hero will raise from the shadows," and try to get a party with conventionally evil powers and backgrounds who become more than that. But that would require the party to want to cooperate.
Still, nothing wrong with the occasional cackling Dark Lord in his Tower of Ultimate Evil now and then. Maybe a princess or two, and definitely a dragon in there somewhere with a mystical sword... and a crystal macguffin.

Meh... I mean, it's basically got the same results as with Space Marine production, except Space Marines are more comparable to Wolverine than Captain in terms of physical capacities and recovery. It'd likely be viewed as Mutation and therefore Heresy, and destroyed, but on the slim, slim chance it's not, it'd likely be used at a mass-production scale to improve soldiers at a huge rate, and basically become part of standard issue Guardsmen training. The end result is just Guardsmen with better stats and endurance, but beyond that, you're still facing things that can outpace the serum.

If you do, skip the underdark arc that they open with, and get straight into the meat (or at least what passes for meat) of it, as you can clearly see the growing pains of them just starting on with the streaming thing during the starting arc.

then again I only watched a few episodes past it, before dropping it because I had other things to do, so I don't know much about it past that aside from the fact that Tiberius's player is very much a That Guy and it apparently gets better (slightly) after he leaves, but that's not saying much.

Are you new? A lot of people on /tg/ watch this show, very few watch it because they like everything about it. It's generally agreed most of the cast is shit except for Sam and Travis, and the DM is far too lenient because he cares about narrative over gameplay.
Most other places to discuss this show are hugboxes where you will be banned for pointing out how Marisha objectively ruins every episode

Depends entirely on what you want them to be.

Firearms coexisted with most fantasy staples for a long long time, so there's no reason their introduction would immediately warp the entire setting around them, especially if they're rare, expensive and not mass produced.

Pretty much. Healing should be a use of several different skills, not a single skill in and of itself.

In general, the fact that other skills and abilities can cover for a particular skill doesn't invalidate that skill. In fact, what you've done is help illustrate just how versatile the medicine skill is.

The biggest problem is that medicine's only real uses are made superfluous by cheap items or low-level spells. There is not a single case where the mundane treatment which involves rolling is better than just casting (such as slot dumping before rest), due to risk of failure and time spent.

Once put the players through a run to track down a controversial political pundit on behalf of his station after he disappeared. They dug through a closetful of skeletons looking for which of the many people he'd pissed off had him before they found out he frequented a bar on the wrong side of town, and while there had contracted HMHVV I and turned into a goblin.

Had a nice debate about the ethics of killing him as a general social good and to keep his enemies from using it to tear down his legacy (part of his shtick was telling his audience to stop always looking up, and go see what life is like for people with less than what they have), vs. leaving him alive and possibly bringing him back into the public eye to improve relations with Infected.
