Have mass WoD games like Wanton Wicked gone out of style? I haven't heard much about them in years and I seem to recall them being much more of a thing in the past. I know WanWic is still up but that's all I know. Did I just grow up? What happened?
What would be a good system to run a Twin Peaks knock-off?
Short story:
>so friend finds out about dat warhammer 40k stuff, after a while get sucked into it and enjoy most of it.
> just as soon as i get into the stuff he moves to Warhammer fantasy(after age of skubmar).
>Guy has autsm, so now being in a small town in the middle of fuckn no where i got no one to chat about the thing i got into.
>on a personal level when i get into shit i like to chat about it for a bit as i enjoy the discussion.
>fack all to do or chat about other then play video games and chat online, fixs the whant to play the game and in truth i only real do it once in a while as it is a fun thing to do.

Aww, I love a story with a happy ending
So i was wondering if it is pozsible to get a custom miniture made based off something like my Fallout 4 character? And if so how to go about it?

heroforge can get you some good results, won't be perfect but you can get pretty close to almost anything with it.

Cool I'll check them out
How well does Mutants and Masterminds handle non-super heroic action? Could you run a fantasy game in it for example?
Not only can you, second edition literally has a splatbook for it. Warriors & Warlocks.

Hello, I'm bored since two weeks and I had an Idea. I love making games, mostly Fighting video games and Cards games. So I started a TCG based on Super Smash Bros. . Is this the right board to make a thread or should I try /v/? I would like some feedback to the game, if there are people interested right now for this, I'll share the rules on this thread. Simple but fun was my main focus for this game. Come if you're interested!
>he hasn't sold his marinelets yet
What are you waiting for anon? A flooding market?

They will never squat the old marines
>>54368954
The old marines are squats now.
What can I do to dissuade more players from drawing on popular fiction when creating new worlds?
Yo, randomfags - does this apply to you?
Are you weak-willed and unable to make decisions? Do the responsibilities of game mastering get on your nerves? Do you use an excessive amount of random tables, such as randomly rolling for encounters and treasure? Do you find yourself defending your GMing by always falling back to the excuse of "It's what the dice told me!"?
Well, you gotta stop it and make up your own stuff. Take responsibility for what you put on the table. Actually use your imagination instead of tables or shit.
>>54367770
Just find another GM if you're not happy with your current.
If any one can put up with you, that is.
>>54367770
When I use random tables I usually make them up myself
>>54367770
It's one thing to use dice to make arbitrary decisions of import, and another to use it as part of a game.
Random tables add a certain level of uncertainty that is fun when done right.
Brainlets might not understand it, but it's ok, because RPGs were never designed for them.
Also, to quote a teacher of mine:
>GMs don't kill player character. PLAYERS kill player characters.
Like, more old-school edition feel? Simplification of rules? It's like...somehow...somebody is manipulating GeeDubs and Wotc....regardless, whoever's done that has to be some sort of tactical gen-CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!
They want people who are not interested in 40K to be more interested in it. Only fuck up from my point of view is that all terrain now gives you +1 save, absolutly heretical if you ask me.
Question
According to this http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Illuminati
The illuminati can survive in the warp as well as realspace, do illumaniti psykers roll for perils of the warp?
What are your scenarii about ? What are your characters about ? What do you like to explore, what seems to come back every time your write something ?
What does it say about yourself ? Give examples, expand. Why do you use these themes, why do you explore them ?
Let's try to get deeper fellow elegan/tg/entlemen

>Reconstruction
Trying to live and find a new reason to live after a trauma, wether physical, psychological or even at a planetary scale with post-apo.
>Morality
Exploring the dilemmas of what characters and players call morality, what would they be happy to do for money, fame, sex or even for fun, what would they be ready to abandon if their life was on the line, how far are they willing to go to get what they want or to avoid having to pay. That's why people who play murderhobos don't stay long on my tables.
>War
In all its forms, wether it is the trenches in which I love setting my Cthulhu games or a political game in which my players are trapped until they find out who pulls their strings so they can take his place. Warriors and soldiers I create often have a distinct viewpoint on war and lots of ways to ewplain them, usually thourgh a wonderful array of guns.
>>54367005
My latest scenario is about killing a very controversial figure, and wether or not servitude is better than the freedom when it includes committing warcrimes.
It's also about characters clinging onto faith even though it made them lose everything they were. About destiny being a thing, with choices you will have to make at some point, and how death is not necessarily to be feared when you accomplish something.
The faith thing reflects my own indecisive nature, and the destiny bit shows how I would like to see a meaning in life (and since we're talking about heroes, in death).
My players have been reacting in an awesome way. One of them had a powerful divination item (tarots cards), and arrived during the campaign in front of the demi-god king who wanted him to enter his service. The king took the tarots, demonstrated that he would conquer the continent, then gave it back to the PC. He burned it, and said he would choose his own future. That wasn't what I had planned but it was awesome nonetheless.
>>54367197
That sounds freaking awesome indeed.
How do you make them still believe that can succeed even after defeating their expectations ?
