Well that escalated quickly.
I mean it really got out of hand.
No Yugioh thread? Let's fix that

Please check out this rpg poll for what you like to see in a system, and answer it fairly and truly, my fores/tg/oblins.

So I'm starting a campaign for my family, and I've decided on Mythras as a system. It's got a lot of stuff I quite like, but I have a few questions.
How best to use Mythras with Classic Fantasy? Do I refer to CF's rulebook unless it mentions the base rulebook? Should I just run normal Mythras without worrying about rule changes and just use the new monsters and magic? Should I find a way to combine the PDFs do I don't have to keep swapping back and forth on my tablet? (I plan to order the books once I'm sure this campaign will be an ongoing thing.) What's the recommended method for running a game using an expansion?
Can you use the CF classes alongside normal Mythras characters without any problems, or would there be balancing issues? Should I have all the characters rebuilt for CF?
And last, does anyone know if any sort of GM screen or quick reference sheet exists? I'm sure I'll memorize the most commonly used rules in time, but until then having to switch back and forth is slowing us down a lot. I can easily just make my own sheet with the Special Effects, Combat order, opposing rolls, etc. on it, but I'd rather not waste my time if one already exists.
Thanks for any help you guys can provide!
(Also, general Mythras thread.)
What's your favorite TCG/CCG that isn't MtG, Pokémon or Yugioh?
This is mine. Specifically the GT Fusion format by the based Timothy Batow.
It actually feels like DBZ, pitting 2 characters against one another using cards to represent different fighting techniques. I don't like other DBZ card games because they don't feel like DBZ; instead they use team combat which almost never happened in the manga or anime.
This one is a definite classic and I'll always love it. If only I had somebody to play with other than my gf when she's feeling especially gracious.

CFV because of waifus. I like FoW too, but nobody plays and nobody sells it on my country.
>>54406627
I'd always wanted to get into a TCG in its infancy so I could experience the entire life cycle of it. I bought a couple FoW starters and then it died pretty much the next month. Was pretty disappointed because the art was nice and the mechanics were pretty cool.

>that isn't MtG, Pokémon or Yugioh?
Digimon then.
What kind of encounters and whatnot would you find in an abandoned and ruinous dwarven stronghold that's connected to the underdark in the lowest level? Need help for a campaign I'm starting on Saturday for d&d 5e
>>54406557
Iirc the lowest levels of the underdark are some serious shit - pissed off ithlids, wizards, aboleths, refugees/escapees from disasters and plagues.
Also the canonical depth of the underdark is pretty retarded, something like 20 miles.
>>54406733
I mean that the lowest level of the dwarven stronghold opens up into the very top of the underdark, sorry for any misunderstanding

Oh, that's quite a different proposition.
Still rough, but nowhere near as rough
Neverwinter Nights style Roleplaying games.
If you've played a PW you know what I'm talking about. It's ACTUAL roleplaying, in an almost-MMO format. You can just go into a world, create a character, and roleplay with other individuals. Similar to a freeform RP game, but with actual substance and mechanics.
It differs from RP-MMOs in that it had DMs to create and advance stories, with the PWs having playerbases of a few hundred.
NWN2 was similar in a lot of ways, but failed to succeed in multiplayer like it's predecessor had. Other more recent attempts, like Shards online, don't seem to have captured the same atmosphere.
The closest I've encountered to this format is, of all the shit, some Minecraft roleplay servers. Quality is what you'd expect out of a few attempts from /tg/ in the past.
Is there anything like this still in existence, or is roleplaying just dwindled down to PnP-sizer weekly encounters?
I'm going to be running a game soon, and I have a few homebrew tweaks to the system that condense the skill list down. I thought it'd be neat to have a character sheet to reflect this so the players wouldn't just be crossing stuff out on an official sheet. Is there an easy way to make my own character sheet?
Do it...
If the players were the lowest characters in the organization, either background characters or the weakest main character, which would be the best premise for a game?
>>54405416
Depends on setting, I suppose.
Are we talking about such premise in general or do you have a more specific setup in mind?
>>54405416
Life.
A game about being the henchmen of supervillains ala the league of villainy in Venture Bros
Do your overlords bidding, avoid being killed by heroes, rise in the ranks and Hench for more and more bigname villains.
Can somebody redpill me on necromancy in Eberron? I know it's widely employed in Karrnath, but how is it viewed in places that are not Karrnath? How do major religions view them, and will you be lynched for being one while in Sharn?
>>54405174
Distrust, but because both Karnath and the Deahtless Elves use them, they are tolerated... aside from the Silver Flame guys, Also, Blood of Vol considers them a path to immortality and hence self-empowerment.
>>54405174
>redpill me
Kill yourself.
Hello /tg/ !
I'm having trouble coming up with a name and color palette for a Iron hand successor chapter. I am making them only Primaris Marines since I just took up the hobby and I like the look of them the most. I like the main color choice to be black. Maybe gold or crimson red on the pauldrons.
Any suggetions?
>>54404336
If you're going to make black-painted Iron Hands successors, why not just play Iron Hands themselves?
>>54404336
Do a Black & Red quartered look and I suggest a name of a mythological monster to tie up the fact that they are both sons of the Gorgon and perhaps monstrous in their duties.
I just threw this together, looks a little like Red Scorpions, but if you differ the logo or use bionics it could work. I always felt IH successors lacked names glorifying the AdMech. "Cult of Steel", "Emperor's Gears", or even go out there with "Scions of Cawl".
Is Genesys RPG just going to be a reskin of their Starwars RPG ruleset imposed to look like a GURPS-type "do-it-all" system?
Yes. With guidelines for homebrewing and adapting various settings and campaign styles.
IIRC it'll have separate supplements with extra guidelines for fantasy and scifi.
I liked SWRPG, an updated and polished version is promising.
>>54403617
Yes, but the world doesn't need yet another generic universal system that does nothing well and everything blandly.
