The back end of a horse?
Rednecks?
An innkeeper with a fat daughter who likes adventurerpussy?
The crazy old guy who lives in the ruins outside of townwho may or may not be a retired murderhobo with PTSD?
ITT: show off your recent builds, i'll start
this is a terrain piece i built in the last days. it could e used as mission objective or as cover. the backgroundstory is that a sacred painting relic, showing the emperor miraculously left untouched by bombardments. i hope you like it.
the painting frame was made from green stuff and cardboard, while the ruin was made with styrofoam, cardboard and plastic card

That's cool as fuck man, I love it.
Along with his B&C notes, it looks good for now. The Mentor brother is a big plus, knowing ADB, we'll learn about both Chapters just as much. Let's just hope there's no daddy issues and waifu and it'll be golden.

I actually prefer unknown chapters. That's how you develop the setting.
Tae pdf related for example. In my opinion, it's everything a novel about a small, barely known chapter should be. Thry show the struggles that a Not-1st founding chapter can face.
Definitely recommend it.

I thought he meant D&D.
With vampires almost certainly spoiled in addition to dragons and cats, who will the fourth tribe be? Vampires are definitely black and could cover red, so my money is on a blue-aligned tribe.
From most to least likely:
>Spirits
>Faeries
>Zombies
>Sphinxes
>Birds
>Moonfolk
>Merfolk (Getting a duel deck, so unlikely)
>Homarids
What are some spooky things that happen in your setting?
>>54442226
There is a waterfall where a goddess lives (or is stuck or just doesn't want to leave) and when it's especially quiet you can hear soft sobbing. This creatures' sadness has caused people to congregate there and committ suicide and it's become something of a macabe acctraction with people looting the bodies that float downstream and people who've contemplated jumping but instead decided to stay. This has lead to a creation of a town where there are numerous religions that flock there as well as people willing to do things for the person's stuff before they jump as a form of death currency.
More than that, the people who've originally came there to kill themselves and somehow resisted the urge to do so are invariably changed having a darker tone to their skin and more somber attitudes overall
>>54442226
A bit of reality has fallen away, cutting off one part of the world from the rest by way of a chasm of dark nothingness. Someone hung a rope bridge across it.
>>54442226
There's a large region, which depending on who you ask is between several dozen and several hundred miles across, in the north. It's home to vast amounts of wild magic, which leads to some seriously spooky shit. Some people travel through it without incident, while others recieve stange, almost prophetic visions. Still others take a step and wind up amidst ancient battles, sometimes even managing to grab a souvenir on their way out. And some few go in and come back out gibbering, fearful messes. Anyone foolhardy and persistent enough to tease the events that transpired in the north out of these people is inevitably reduced to a similar state.
TL;DR: Wild magic fuckery.
ITT We brainstorm secret societys
>Leviathan Guard
An ancient order of knights that meets up once every month to keep an ancient beast known only as The Leviathan in chains
it's colours are gunmetal grey and dark blue and its emblem is a skull with a squids tentacles coming out of it.
>Fae union
A relatively new society that seeks to merge the real world with whatever Fae universe there is and it's colours are Jade and Purple and it's emblem is a arm made of grass and roots
>Children of the hunt
This society seeks to destroy civilization and have eveyone return to tribal eras. It's colours are white and red and it has no emblem.
Take your dreadlets to work Edition.

Why is the you picture cooler than the not to worry about picture? I don't think you get how this meme is meant to go.
3RD FOR CUTEDAR!
I am thinking about joining with randoms on a game in roll20 because my forever DM is taking one giant hiatus making his magnum opus of a homebrew system and probably other things with no sign of returning anytime soon. I was wondering if it is a complete waist of time joining a pug or if it is worth checking out? I highly doubt it is as fun playing with people I know but you never know. Also if anyone has any tips for playing with random people I am also all ears.
>>54441162
>Is roll20 worth it?
If you manage to wade through the shit and grime, yes. I met some pretty cool people through it
Roll20 is a crapshoot. Players are everywhere and 90% of them are shit. GMs are thin on the ground and 90% of them are shit.
Expect to have to apply to, join, try and get into, and leave a dozen games for every one you actually want to stay in.
The real trick is not letting cynicism overcome your willingness to gives games a chance. Good games are running on Roll20 and if you're in one of them you've probably done enough legwork to have some justification in thinking you deserve it.
Gamefinding online is for go-getters. Judging by your "I need someone else to tell me if I should try" post you're not one of them, but that's hardly my concern. Good luck.
As a GM I love roll20, I made a game then got to choose the best four applicants out of 30+ to a nondescript dnd game. 8 months later and three group is still going good.
is there a pastbin for Space Lizardmen for 40k anywhere? I remember a few months ago after the Space Skaven thread someone attempted to make a thread in similar vain but for the Lizard men instead.
did that go anywhere or what?
>>54440720
was there?
For one, i know this sounds retarded but with glotkin seemingly getting ported into 40k and lizardmen now beeing demons or something i do have at least some hopes of them becoming an anti chaos faction in 40k.
I could also see tarrelians beeing part of a potential kroot roster but as it seems GW is focusing on humans and chaos and with Tau they only seem to focus on battlesuits.
Still one can dream.
The Eldar are not good enaugh to be servants of the old ones.
>>54441008
Eh, I like them as another Tau race. I'd actually like to see more focus on other Tau races, and less on battlesuits.
If Kroot Shapers were an HQ choice, I'd have bought a full Kroot army (including the old FW stuff) by now.
>>54440720
Hi.
I'm the guy who made that space lizardmen p thread.
Lizardmen 40k only got up to some bare basics.
>Lizardmen served the old ones.
>Fled to outside the galaxy when the old ones died and have since hung out on star sized ultra-craftworld observing the future and shit.
> influenced galactic stuff with butterfly effects from afar (Encourage the pre-fall eldar party trends, protect the baby primarchs while in the warp, Nip a waaagh in the bud and so forth)
>Trying to revive their masters and reaffirm old one control of the galaxy.
>None of them age at all Meaning that most are older then other faction's gods.
>The tau 'mysterious benefactors' were lizard people and not space elfs.
what's a good system for organizing people towards revolution? something that simultaneously uses social mechanics for individuals and groups, and measures your popular support to see how likely you are to get fucking obliterated by the rich?

>>54440422
What aspects of the Metal Gear games do you want incorporate into a table top game?
I'm currently running an MGS game in gurps.
Only real downside is that it's very simulationy and its hard to make shit happen for narrative reasons like it does in MGS sometimes.

Old Thread: >>54434760
its sort of become a common trend for my players to not do any work for a coming game, the biggest issue being creating a character for a game.
i have a game coming up, a short little break from the campaign. the players expressed their interest in wanting to run a dungeon delve. however it starts saturday and only 3 players have finished their characters.
we've already pushed the date back twice and i dont want to do it again, but with only half of the players there not everyone will be able to get to participate.
normally i just say you made your bed now lay in it, but thats supposed to inspire them to chance the way they act and learn, however they never do, they just continue to not even try.
should i keep up the mentality of punishing them even if they never learn, or should i aid them since they're apparently children who can't take care of themselves. because overall the enjoyment of the group will go up?
i dont know if its an interest thing either, i think theyre all just lazy. because when i ask if anyone is interested they all clamor to join, then they express the character ideas they have and theyre actually excited. then when i check in every few days if everyone can make it they all say yes and they are looking forward to it.
but then all they have to do is spend 1 hour to create a goddamn character and they can't even do that.
>>54440109
3 players is enough. Tell the others they can play when they have their characters ready. Don't waste your time.
>>54440109
After many instances of my players showing up to session 1 of a new campaign without a finished character, or having glanced at the rulebook, or sometimes without even a blank character sheet, I've sort of abandoned any expectation of player preparation.
At first my thinking was, motherfucker if I can find time in my 60 hour work week to plan an entire campaign, you can set aside an hour or two and run through chargen. BUT, that clearly is not a reasonable expectation.
So now what I do is I always do a Session Zero for every new campaign, where the players just spend the entire night doing chargen and shooting the shit. No more frustration for me, no "fucking homework" for my players, and bonus benefit of having everyone do chargen together means their characters have a lot more mechanical and RP synergy.
Would WotC acknowledging and promoting paper pauper save the game?
>>54440078
I want them to. it is literally the best format.
No, but they would unban all the combo decks that only got banned because combo is unpleasant in MTGO.
>>54440130
>all the combo decks that only...
Which wouldn't be all the banned combo decks, mind you.
A few of the storm ones really were degenerate.
