Otherwise, if I am well convinced this is true, I probably turn myself in. Justice has yet to be delivered for my crimes. Those families deserve closure, and I cant reasonably prioritize my own wellbeing when I dont even really exist. For all I know, I could relapse any time.

Would it be possible to make a campaign set in a time loop? How would you do it?

Depends on how death is handled. If you have it where if one person dies, then they are out till the reset/party wipe it might work.

If you have it where if they die before the reset and they forget everything, then that's complete shit and wouldn't work. If you have it like a level penalty then maybe but that's that.

All in all though, you'd need to run it like a puzzle to keep it interesting. You can only go through the same group of mobs each go around before you get bored and start fucking around. And believe me, the last thing you want in a time loop is everyone fucking around, shit will get out of hand and drive you nuts. So my advice?

Keep it simple, keep it fun and end it as soon as possible.

Now on the other hand... if you want to say... make a loop that sends you to the beginning of your adventure and being the unseen forces making sure you somehow get to the situation with the time loop to get out of it, then that's be cool. Take detailed notes of everything and advise your players to do the same. Also make sure that if you do this kind of game, take causality into account, someone somewhen is going to fuck up and change something either intentionally or by accident and you may end up having to redo an entire battle from a certain point to account for the change that might or might not end up erasing/killing your characters at the point in time and having to bring a new character in to replace the one that time fucked themselves or got time fucked.

I mean... look, if you'd like to pull something like that off and you have the diligence and patients and the right kind of players it'd be fun as hell. However, chances are that you're not going to be able to pull that kind of thing off unless the group you have is dedicated to it from the start.

I could see it being done in a massive dungeon with multiple areas to explore. They keep their experience but their gear remains the same. Put in certain items they can learn are there and repeatedly go back to. Allow them to say they just do over what they did, and perhaps lesser fights can be rolled more as checks.

How brave should a horse be? I mean, warhorses exist but I don't think that an animal that can be spooked by a plastic bag would just run right up to a dragon so that you can hit it with a sword.

its been two years, i thought eventually they would come around but i dont know. when my players encounter a problem they kind just sit there doe eyed. they sometimes discuss for a half hour but never actually reach a conclusion. its really painful when they need to get information from a guy and when he says "beat it kids" they say "alright well thats never gonna pan out!"

i figured this was just how new players were since this is all of thier first times. but its been two years, it gets realy old when every encounter i have to out of game point out stuff they should do since we've been sitting in silence for 5 minutes.

the fuck can i do?? i tried one session where i wouldn't give them any out of game help and we made it through all of 3 scenes, nothing happened and it was a boring ass session.

if theres something i can do to improve my GM'ing I'm more than willing! i really want the game to be fun for everyone.

wow...no not entirely. you might be right, maybe i should sit them down together.

i have said it in the past, but I've never sat them down and pointed out this was a big issue. I've definitely made my opinion known but nobody (to my knowledge) has attempted to rectify it.

Is it wrong to make all waifus suffering?

Any tips for getting a boyfriend to pay a little more attention to the game at hand? He loves to play and begs me to run games but when I do he just tags along and doesn't really add anything or go out of his way to do anything. It doesn't even seem like he pays attention some of the time. I'm going to talk to him about it tomorrow, but what can I do to get him to roleplay and kinda care a little more?

Dealt with this. If he's not invested in the game, literally nothing you do will make a difference. You can whip your top off at the table and make him look up from Hearthstone for a second, but then he'll notice it's his turn and look right back down. Just let him off the hook and play with the people who actually give a shit.

Alternatively, maybe he's super into the game and loves being a part of it, but is just the party dog. He'll never start stuff or prompt activity, but whatever happens, he's having a great time.

ITT we show each other what images we want to use one day or another because they're so gorgeous or tell such an interesting story

If people are interested in what you want to do with them, try to imagine how you would integrate it into a scenario or make a scenario around it.
