GM Whining thread
This is for GMs who want to let loose after experiencing things they can't or won't change and therefore have to whine on an online imageboard
I'll start
>first session of playing a fallout homebrew
>first quest is supposed to be a standard dungeoncrawl
>make event where npc tells them to go to place
>they do the thing
>have to navigate them through a small dungeon
>nobody has any innitiative of their own
>have to encourage one especially autistic guy to attack
>he's scared even though his enemy is half way dead and there's no danger whatsoever to his character
>thing done they get paid
>players want to carry as much as their carry weight allows them
>okay why not
>next session
>one guy writes me a fucking list why they should be forced to carry bags around for immersion
>why doesn't he talk about this with the players after they made a majority decision
>quest with diplomacy
>only the one guy who complained opens his mouth to talk to npcs
>he doesn't roleplay in any interesting way or in a way that would be dictated by the backstory
>end session prematurely to talk with the other guys about speaking up and to talk about IC behavior
>the complainer demands that i use sound effects and complains about background music
>i told them at the start of the first session that the background music comes out of their pip-boy radio that they can turn off anytime

Requesting my character in his changeling form. The art on the middle and side show how his face looks usually, but I'd be interested to see how he looks as a changeling, especially like the one on the left (less of a pale elf, and a slightly grimier, Voldemort style to the features, though I'm not picky).
He has pale green hair in his form and white skin, with white pupilless eyes surrounded by black lines. Beyond that, he'd probably have a resemblance to his human form, but go nuts. He's got a sunblade and leather armor like shown, and is probably in some awkward or unlucky situation knowing him, but I'm not that picky. Just curious to see how people would interpret him if you're interested.

Recently in our game, Adinzard has been followed by a Kobold who's only wish is to be a Princess, and since he's technically a Prince of his house, she's smitten with him and he's not sure what to do about it.

I'm designing a pretty simple board game actually. Nothing fancy just doing it for fun. Hex based, High Fantasy, kinda taking some cues from HoMM. Factions so far are Human, Necromancers, Demons, Dwarves, Elves/Faerie, and I want a 6th but I'm not sure what I should add.
Each faction has 2-3 sub factions with unique unit(s)s at the cost of losing some of the standard unit(s). One Dwarven subfaction uses Gyros as a flying cavalry instead of Boar Cavalry and another has Repeating Crossbows that can attack twice a turn with a lower attack rating rather than Thunderers (guns).
Most games either go too in depth or aren't in depth enough for me. I love Axis and Allies except it's repetitive and boring after a bit, but Rise and Decline of the Third Reich is far too complicated and mainly just takes too long to play so it's nearly impossible to find people to play it with. Kinda wanting to make a game specifically for me, that's kinda got an in between.

Talisman in any form and flavor is complete RNGfest. If you liked Monopoly or Munchkin it will be your cup of coffee.
Mordheim - keeps nothing of game mechanics but does the atmosphere alright. Multiplayer can get pretty imbalanced, but so was the tabletop game.
Arcane Magic - mobile game tier.
Legacy of Dorn - this would be cool back in 80's
Kill Team - mindless clickfest, there's better one in the making
Space Hulk - it's alright but being asymmetric might put some people off

The asari from Mass Effect did it. They have sex with everyone and end up just taking some genetic material and that's all they need.
There's also some real microorganisms that reproduce asexual and don't really do gender. Maybe make big sentient versions of them.
You could also have a race that construct their offspring, so gender wouldn't be necessary there.

You don't need miniatures, you can print your own tokens. There's any number of token packs downloadable from the internet if you look around a bit.

Of all the routes to immortality, why in gods name would they pick the one where their body dries out and decomposes?

There's a lot of options for immortality. *MOST* of them are better than lichdom, so far as I can tell.
What's the benefit of choosing lichdom?

undeath bring lots of good side and not bad sides.
liches in particular are very powerfull caster, other kind of undead are not always. who wouldnt want to be a spellcasting skellington?
and if you count archlich, no alignment restriction (but there existence is highly debatable)

There's also the elven druidic/high magic baelnorn.
But living forever without being a decomposing corpse sounds preferable to the alternative.
