How would you describe what a human look like without referencing any creatures from Earth?
I'm planning on running a game where the players play member of alien races that's going on an expedition across the stars to uncover ruins and technology of a dead galactic civilization, the twist is that the civilization is humanity. I'm trying to think of a way to describe humanity without being obvious, but all I could come up is "furless bipedal with four limbs".

Whilst I was not much a fan of Panty&Stocking, it did have a neat idea:
Heaven as freedom. Usually, Heaven is portrayed as a force of law, even when it's portrayed positively.
Here it did something interesting, by portraying hell as the one that wishes to force everybody to live by hells law, whilst heaven is very live and let live.
I'm more of a fan of this as fantasy cosmology because I find "Angels are just law and hell is just chaos and no good or evil is involved, or angels are secretly evil, and everybody sucks" kinda overplayed.
What does the rest of /tg/ think? Neat or crap?

The fluff that should have been: Gulliman wakes up from stasis, Cawl introduces him to the old Thunder Warrior designs left by the God Emperor of Mankind. In need of numbers and power Gulliman allows for the reproduction of the designs on Terra and Mars, under the supervision of the Custodes.
The restored Thunder Warriors are led by Gulliman or one the Custodes captains. Unstable but powerful, they assist in the reclamation of territory lost to chaos, nids and Necrons but are only useful in offensive expeditions due to their rages and instability.
Now they don't replace SMs, are part of established fluff and are justified in their strength.

-40 card constructed(though draft is also an option)
-20 life total, 30 if there's 3 or more players.
-Another set of cards is constructed by the entire group, 10 from each player. Most of the cards in this stack will be Bombs or major game-changing cards.
-this set of cards is set in the center of the playing group, and once per turn, in addition to drawing a card, you may pay 1 mana or 2 life to draw from the set.
-all cards from this stack of cards have their colored mana symbols treated as Phyrexian marks(may be paid with 1 mana of that color or 2 life)

Which is the best defense system?
I like 5e's because it doesn't introduce any new and unnecessary stats, it makes dump statting dangerous, you need to spread out your stats to have good defenses in everything, you'll always have a weakness that someone else has to cover, and it always feels better to make a roll to save yourself from a spell than to get hit with a spell you can't do anything about.

For example, Int saves and Cha saves are largely nonsensical, and the former is almost nonexistant. Apparently, it's because they're saving them for psionics, but that's a particularly poor design choice, considering some people will not want to play with psionics.
All in all, it's something I hope to see improved in 6e, but until then, it works pretty well and I've also ended up homebrewing some more int save targeting powers just to keep it from being the go-to dump stat for everyone except the wizard.
