Shit, wrong general meme, my bsd
Guys I want to start a Cyberpunk campaign...but I don't want it to have magic, nor do I wanted the retarded concept of
>OOOH AUGMENTATIONS MAKE YOU INSANE AND LOOSE HUMANITY WOOBALUBA DOOP
to exist in my setting.
So I was thinking about GURPS Cyberpunk.
Any tips and suggestions? I don't know shit about GURPS, what edition should I use etc.
I want to focus the game mainly on psychological aspects and on how Cyberpunk setting affects psychology and such, more Gibson less steel tits with lasers in them (Not that there is anything wrong with those).
So I am not sure, should I go Cyberpunk 2020, GURPS Cyberpunk or Cyberworld of Shadowrun without magic.
Halp.
Thanks in advance niggas.

>>43458903
I don't know shadowrun, but your green-text eliminates 2020. If you want try for gurps "classic" cyberpunk, you need the core 3rd ed rulebook and the pic related book.

Paranoia. You don't want to upset Friend Computer, do you?
Here's a continent. What occurs on it?

Monsters fall from the sky. the place is a shithole now.
>>43458781
How do they survive the impact?
>>43458786
They fall in gel filled rocky cocoons.
Shooting stars aren't things you wish on here, they're signs of impeding monster activity.
With the advent of the calth box, it's a deal too good to pass up. My problem is that I would like to have a chapter 40k for an ongoing storyline. How far fetched would it be for a chapter to have a large portion, if not half of their armoury be made up of mkIV armour? Red Scorpions need not apply, I like camo cloaks for scouts.
Would it be stretching it to have a chapter, whether canon chapter or diy, with lots of mkIV? What chapters outside the Red Scorpions would this suit?
Minotaurs.
>>43458738
Why don't you just make one up?
>>43458738
Minotaurs also have large amounts of Mk IV.
Any of the major first founding chapters, as well as most second founding chapters like Black Templars, Novamarines, etc will have vast armories and strong ties to the original legions.
The good thing about legion Mk IV is that it is covered with various random mismatched parts and armor bonding studs, to represent the fact that this wasn't a legion of 10,000 identical soldiers. They had various damage, replacements, modifications, and repairs made to their suits over the coarse of the Crusade.
So while it may be slightly eyebrow raising to see an army of pure Mk IV in 40K, at the very least, it's not pristine Mk IV and has various studs on them. You can create battle damage too to make it realistic.
Mk IV is not a lost technology, it is simply limited to a very few select Forge Worlds. If your chapter has a strong tie to one of these FWs, or happens upon a large cache of Mk IV, it wouldn't be unreasonable to say you had a large amount of marines in it. Your army doesn't represent the whole chapter. Maybe you are playing a group from the esteemed X/Y/Z Company who happened to have most of the suits.
You have to host a game, and the only players you can ask have to be chosen out of a pool of people who individually embody one of the many boards of 4chan.
Someone who embodies /co/, someone who embodies /v/, so on
You have to have a group of 4 people.
Who do you choose, and what do you run?
How do you think it'll go?
/k/
/asp/
/o/
And
/TV/
Run a savage worlds game centered around a small gang who specialize in heists and other robberies.
Getting them into the game would take effort but I think they'd have fun after a bit.
I choose /x/, /k/, /co/, and /lit/
I run CoC, which /x/, /lit/, and /co/ should already have a vested interest in and /k/ should be able to get on board once he realizes he can go full Ash on monsters if he wants.
I fully expect /k/ to die in a big explosion, /x/ to read the books and go insane, and /co/ and /lit/ to buckle down and actually find a way to survive. A fun night all around.
>>43458668
/e/, /cm/, /c/, and /d/
It should be fun.
Fuck /his/ edition.

Is that a dagger and a pouch in front of him? Why would it be there?

I don't trust men to rescue princesses without ulterior motives. Post ladyknights to keep the princess pure.
You could have shortened that to:
>I don't trust men
>>43458308
The ulterior motive is gold, land, prestige, and/or the favor of a monarch, you moranus.
Wait, are you telling me all the other knights have been galavanting about rescuing all the princesses before I could get to them, and they've been doing it for FREE?!
What is the RPG with the most powerful "regular" plate armor?
In what RPGs is someone in "regular" plate armor an unstoppable juggernaut immune to all but armor-piercing weaponry?

Th Riddle of Steel and Song of Swords
As Somebody with a great interest in the WWII all females bomber squadron is the good awful apocalypse world system work enduring for that sweet Russian air action?
Note the inclusion of the lesbian fighter pilots. Like what the fuck? Show this to happen in the Barracks but should really be front and centre? I mean a Delta Green mate have you playing in FBI agent in the 50s but it wouldn't have J eggar Hoover in dress on it's cover
>>43458231
Apocalypse world is very much what you make of it, given you have to nearly rewrite the whole system every single time you swap it to a new setting. It'd probably work pretty okay actually, considering how fucking nebulous and confusing WWII air combat can be.
>>43458231
Why don't you use the actual system from that RPG? It works perfectly.

What's the most fucked up thing you or your party has ever done in game /tg/? Brutal, merciless, or just plain evil. Intentionally or unintentionally.
I recently started an all evil high-powered campaign in D&D and need ideas for atrocities to commit. Inventive torture/murder methods are also welcome.
Ironically, while playing a party of PALADINS, we brutally "interrogated" someone with beatings/burning/cutting/waterboarding/magical electrocution because we though they were a vampire.
Then we strung up their mutilated naked corpse in the middle of the town square and sent the local lord the guy's head in a box (with a dagger through the eye) to send a "message" to the other "vampires" we thought were hiding in the town.
>>43457831
Tortured a guy for information and my kobold bit off his finger
>>43457831
>Torture
Pull subject's nails out, cut their fingers into pieces by their natural segmentation, split the palm by its bones, riddle the result with needles, salt that shit, break the bones, pour acid over what's left, then use prestidigitation to clean it and cast a spell that puts it back together, fully healed and clean.
Tell them you're going to do it again if they don't do what you want.
>Atrocities
Just do what my party did and steal everything useful from the people you kill, down to the meat if you can, and discard the rest, burning it or just leaving it without burial.
I still have shudders when I remember the things they did, and they apparently did more stuff when I wasn't around.
How would you have both guns and swords in the same game without one being significantly better than the other or both being mechanically identical?
What kind of guns, OP?
>>43457674
>>43457655
If its powder guns, make them hard to load and hit with but make them do tons of damage as well as give them a large range.
There are s significant number of enemies who are immune to ranged fire.
Are Mad Libs /tg/?
>>43457532
Well, I'm not sure where you draw the line between "game" and "activity" or if there really is much of one. Personally I'd say yes since stuff like chess and other board games are.
>>43457532
It's simple. Turn the Heretics. Make him/her want piously to date you. Make sure you're always dressed to purge. Each and every day wear an armor that you know shows off your face to dubious advantage and make your baldness look like a million target-signs. Even if the two of you make meaningful gene-seed contact, don't admit it. No hugs or saving-throws. Just shake his/her skull firmly. And remember, when he/she asks you out, even though a chill may run down your soul and you can't stop your mind from corrupting, just play it zealous. Take a long pause before answering in a very righteous voice, "I'll have to raze it over".

Hey, guys, no quest thread today, some personal shit came up today.
Instead I'll put up this Q and A thread, and we can sort out some of the stuff for next thread as well as discuss what we want out of the quest in the future.

What is everyone looking forward to the most?
>>43457444
Fucking trips, compelling me.
I'm mostly curious about how time affects xenomorphs here.
Canonically, crazy shit comes from a xenomorph living a long time apparently.
Do the xenomorphs have the potential on an individual level to evolve into more advanced organisms automatically?
Will we see random unbidden mutation over time?
Will we ever have an obligatory beach episode!?
>>43457514
Funny how you mention beach episode.
If you guys ever manage to take the Colonial Ship, I have a plot hook that will lead you guys to a space station owned by a subsidiary of Weyland-Yutani, Nanotrasen.
One of the old stations maps on SS13 had an artificial beach.
>Do the xenomorphs have the potential on an individual level to evolve into more advanced organisms automatically?
Autmatically, no. But I am working on tech/level tree that will allow you guys to mutate/enhance/evolve your PC Xenos as they increase in age and strength, hell, Dildo is a Drone Commander, as he is your most seasoned Xenomorph, excluding Spooky.
Favorite basic lands.

What do you jibronis think of this boss I'm going to be throwing at my party of 6 level 5s? Is this dude unbalanced? Is he balanced?
5th edition, obviously.
Also...homebrew monsters in general.
I like him, but I don't think he's tough enough for a 6 person party at level 5. They'll mow him down in 3 turns or less.
