Oh, OP meant if the *character* had depression.
Haha, no, virtually all of my characters have some sense of self worth and desire to achieve something, or otherwise an ambition to keep going.
Now, someone who is suicidal *can* work, if it's a cultural thing, like the Legion of the Dead in DA or Berserkers from Warhammer.
But overall, your character needs to have a reason to adventure, you know? At the very least another PC has to drag them around, otherwise you're just stuck somewhere.

If you were trying to design a "semi realistic" game with guns, how would you handle HP and getting shot?
HP is kinda silly with boolet involved, but obviously someone spray and praying with a .22 might not kill someone with a few shots. Should I just have a random body part roll? Possible fatality on head/heart/lungs?
The only problem I have with that is it seems to detract from aimed shots/snoipahs and encourages spray n pray to hit deadly areas.

I'm no GM, but I'd assume you're either cut between playing it fairly arcade-ish or trying to be semi-realistic.
If you're being semi-realistic then devising some sort of system for accuracy and hitting body parts/organs grazing/penetration/straight through and what not (don't haze me on the specific terms) would probably be good.

GURPS does it decently well. Read the relevant splats and see for yourself. Any system that uses critical injuries after hp hits 0 will also do.

10 hit points per body part, different caliber bullets do different amounts of damage. So something like a Desert Eagle takes 10 hit points out, completely disabling that body part or killing you.

You are John Bayliff, a Dishwasher at Mackleroy’s, a Brewpub in the Midwest.

Your date with Jenna yesterday ended on a very good note and you feel like you could take on the world... If you could have slept in. It’s 7:30 Sunday morning, your only morning shift, you hop off of the bus and head for the back door. You’re not used to being up this early but were able to get an energy drink before the ride, you take a sip of it as you enter the building, the back of the house is extremely clean, pretty much immaculate, you pass your station and only a few dishes are piled up, whoever took over last night did a good job.
“Moooorning John” a masculine gritty voice is heard out of your vision, you turn to see Nick looking in an absolutely miserable state.
“Oh, hi, good morning, you don't look too good, are you alright?” you ask, a little frightened at Nick’s disheveled appearance.
“Oh right... No need to worry John, I was just up all night playing video games” he takes a sip of his coffee, perking up a little bit. “Whew that’s the stuff, if you want coffee feel free to pour a cup or 12”

You Pour a cup and head into the break room, there’s no one in sight, you take this as an opportunity to listen to some music.
You put your earbuds in, listen to some tunes, and close your eyes, occasionally taking sips of BOOST... You open your eyes to see a couple of people in the breakroom chatting, after further inspection you realize it’s Amy and a guy you haven’t seen before, looks pretty young, senior in high school tops. you pull your earbuds out.
“Good morning John” says Amy with a smile on her face, she doesn’t look tired at all, you start to feel a bit jealous when the boy starts to speak up.
“G-good morning!” he stutters out, must be his first day... or he’s just a really nervous.
“Good morning... I’m John” you extend a hand, the young boy reaches out and shakes it, his handshake is very limp.
“I’m Taylor...” He looks down at the ground. “It’s nice to meet you.” The kid is kinda cute, like a puppy. You turn to Amy.
“I take it he’s training with you?” you ask. Amy gives a nod.
“Yep! He’ll need to work on his confidence a bit but I think he’s got what it takes.” Amy replies, a blush appears on Taylor’s face. “Well, I gotta grab some stuff from my truck, so I’ll be back in a bit, you two get to know each other, kay?”
“Sure” you reply, Taylors remains silent, the blush on his face growing heavier. Amy exits the room, leaving you two to an awkward silence looms between the two of you.

It's a cold autumn day, the air has a deathly chill to it, the sky is an uncaring and dull grey. And like usual on days like this, everyone is either working, sick, or hiding indoors. This is no different in the school yard of the lucky coin.
