How about Saikoro Fiction games?
Why, apart from Shinobigami and KillDeathBusiness, these games are less famous and playes than Double Cross or Night Wizard?
>>43867449
Well, unlike DX and NW, there isn't even a partial translation of Saikoro Fiction games yet.
When will we get Knights Errant rules and units? What about Silent Sisters? Garro's model is gorgeous and I need more.
Rules are downloadable. He's pretty decent.
Create-a-Knight-Errant was slated for book 6 next February, who knows if they'll have that or if it'll just be one or two other special characters. Silent Sisters are Prospero, so will keep being pushed back as infinitum. You would have found all this out with a couple of minutes in Google.
>>43866582
Silent Sisters will be in the Prospero Book, which should be out second half of next year at the earliest. Knights Errant are in the next book.
The latest Oglaf [pic related] has some interesting theological ramifications.
Tell me, what are the origins of the various gods in your campaigns?
Have any gods ever fallen? How? What happened to them?
Have any mortals ever risen to challenge the gods?
What are the funereal rites of the primary cultures in your settings?
Save for the last panel, that comic is basically the backstory of Kill Six Billion Demons.

So god became a ghost rider?
Isn't that the worst possibl event?

Nope.

Use OOC and ask someone for help on how to play. People will almost always help you get a grip of the game if you're polite about it, just don't reveal too much in-round information in OOC.
>Hey /tg/ station I...
We are a separate entity from /tg/ station, we just host our threads on /tg/ as the server was made by fa/tg/uys for elegan/tg/entlemen.
We occasionally run Dorfstation mode, a roundtype where the crew must build up from a bare-bones station. Dorf will be run less often then usual, probably on the first and/or last of every month now. Dorf is ran on a separate server, found at byond://76.16.8.127:28020
>How is this station different from [station]?
Join the server and read the rules and changelog (located at the top right of the game window). The changelog has been cleaned up to show changes starting from the base code of the /nt/ branch.
Code branch from NT (also named d20Station) is updated a few times every week with fixes and new content.
If you have a bug, contact an admin in-game or on the thread to report it.

What are your red flags that a game is going to be a painful ordeal? What triggers your autism in your gaming group? What are some warning signs of an impending magical realm that you've personally experienced? What do you just not enjoy in your group or in gaming in general and just want to bitch about?
To get started, I know a couple people who fancy themselves amateur RPG designers. They're always trying to get me to playtest their games, and normally I would be happy to do this, except for one problem.
They never take any advice anyone gives them. Try to tell them that this rule doesn't make sense, this mechanic doesn't scale well with the rest of the numbers, there's no reason for this many skills, that nobody in their right mind would ever take this option when that one is available, and they get huffy and offended as if they had just been personally insulted.

We're pretty lenient on tech-heresy and xenophilia that involves Man ending up on top, but start bringing Daemons into the equation and we were murderfuck you with our tricked out Sentinels and Stormtroopers and an Astropath who likes to turn people inside-out with her mind because she just does.

FATAL
Whenever there is a dispute between the GM and a player over the outcome of a contest, each picks up a die, rolls it, and whoever rolled higher wins.
But, if the player feels more emotional about a particular contest, they can pick up another die, and add it to their roll. Likewise, if the GM feels like they've got more emotions, they can also pick up another die. Then, if the player really, really wants to, they can pick up a third die, and so on and so forth.
At the end of the night, the game should largely revolve around players and the GM throwing fistfuls of dice at each other, screaming at the top of their lungs, while ripping off their clothing.
In the most unlikely of places, the greatest of both heroes and villains can emerge.
--
I awaken (like most mornings) in one of the many alleyways of New Jersey. My clothes are stained by whatever muck I had fallen asleep in the night before. A disgusting smell reminiscent of rotting meat is in the air.
My thoughts are interrupted by an intense pain rushing to my body. It feels like my head has been bashed in with a brick. For a moment of respite from the soreness, I decide to go over some of my basic information as well as the events from the night before.
So, who was I before I found myself at rockbottom?

'Sup /tg/, it's friday night and I'm bored out of my skull so I figured I might as well share a hobby of mine with you lot. We'll be using the 1d4chan faction gen tables with a bit of a twist. Basically, you roll as usual except by chaining together allies and enemies, so for example an IG regiment with CSM enemies would be followed up with creating a CSM warband and so forth. For added fun we do this with even destroyed factions in the deeds of legends, creating a rich history to play around in and fluff to our content. Repeat until we reach a dead-end.

For a planet with a population of 120 Billion people, a 10 million people standing army seems kinda small... it comes out to only one solder for ever 12000 civilians. For an example, in 1997, there were about 22,300,000 solders just on Earth, with a total population of 5,898,688,337 (1 solder for ever 264.52 civilians)

Tell me about when you abused mechanics and made something totally, absolutely, utterly broken. Extra bonus for DMs being creative and actually punishing you in other ways than just banning the munch.
Is it possible to have lasguns remain useful throughout the game? Would it be possible (and reasonable) to have a character at almost ascension levels still use the same lasgun he was issued as a rank conscript (somewhat modified, possibly)? (DH1e, if ascension didn't give it away)
>>43861126
I don't think so. Pen 0 and stuff. Perhaps adding sanctified quality to it would help?
>>43861126
If you port over the OW rules and talents for lasguns, then yes. For the most part.

So what makes more sense to you as a stat for melee accuracy: Strength or Dexterity/Agility?
>>43858239
Melee Accuracy (MACC) obviously.
Dec/agility to hit, with str augmenting damage.
>>43858239
Dex/Agi for accuracy, STR for damage, and maybe parry effectiveness
I'm looking to get into Magic. I had a small collection of lousy cards as a kid, but have recently been playing casual with a friend. I'm looking to get some cards of my own to play at the dinner table and see where it goes from there.
Are those duel decks any good? What can I expect to find in stores? Or am I better off picking some lots up off the internet?
Any suggestions for a noob?
Thanks!
What format are you looking to play? If you are planning on playing casual picking up the card lots might not be a bad idea. If standard, I'd recommend the Battle For Zendikar event deck. You can build a nice sacrifice deck out of that (without losing your life savings in order to pay for fetch lands). Modern will require a little research and a larger investment. Commander is essentially a sandbox and there are a lot of ways to get started in that.
Also, buying cards singles in store is generally a rip off, but it depends on your community. Make sure you compare the prices of the store to that of a site like tcgplayer. My gaming store charges about 40 percent more than the card is worth, so you have to be careful about that.
>>43855776
I was thinking Modern because I like the idea that my cards won't be phased out of the format. I really don't like the idea of paying to be competitive though.
Inexperienced GM here. I've played a few Mongoose Traveller games before, and it is by far my favorite system. I'm going to be running a small game for two friends, and to build motivation, I wanted to find some fellow TravAnons to discuss this glorious game with.
Tell me about your favorite Traveller stories, characters, and settings! Homebrew shit is welcome and encouraged.
I'm probably going to be basing our game in the fringes of the Third Imperium. I prefer gritty, near future sci-fi, so I don't generally like Tech Level 12 and up. But it seems strange that there could be such a huge tech level disparity between neighbor worlds, despite the near-universal presence of Imperial influence. How do such things come to pass, and how can I effectively model them in my game?

>How do such things come to pass
Lots of ways. Religious strictures, wars, disasters.
The big one is that that you can't manufacture stuff without the right infrastructure. Devices need parts need components need tools need alloys need chemicals, on down in a massive branching tree of dependencies. And all of that needs people who can handle each step.
Lack any of those and you can't make that particular thing, and probably a whole host of other things. If your population's small, or certain chemicals are rare on your planet, or your tech base hasn't been built up enough, or anything, then you'll be unable to build, nor likely repair that tech.
You can still import it from off world, but that's a big cost, and trying to rely on offworld imports for a specific tech worldwide will eat a huge amount of your economy, so it's best to use locally produced (lower tech) stuff for everyday use.
