Ayla notices that you are distracted from watching the succubi fighting in the arena and pouts while pressing herself against you. She is still trying t extract an answer from you regarding how her pregnancy should progress. Apparently she’s already grown bored of being pregnant since it limits what she can do and she wants to have the baby now, but only if you are alright with it.

“If you want to go ahead, but you’ll miss out on the whole experience,” you look over and tell Ayla.

“psh! Everyone else says it’s annoying so I’ll skip it all,” Ayla lights up at your approval.

As Ayla starts to play around with magic preparing to give birth or something of the sort Hestia sends you a brief update on how things are progressing following the successful invasion. Director Burgess has returned once the fighting died down and has begun to coordinate with both Snow and Hestia to keep the transition period smooth.

Completed Research

>Autoinjection implant – Previous prompting to optimize implant technology started the researchers brainstorming new ideas. By combining a small magically refilling reservoir, a time dilation field and an injection unit the researchers have created an implant that applies potion effects nearly constantly. The researchers seem fairly embarrassed that they didn’t think of this when trying to create a mana regeneration implant.

Ongoing research – Hestia’s research is currently suspended

Ongoing special project

>Final reconstruction - Hestia is loathe to leave a job half done, so she is finishing up rebuilding the city above to her standards. Several hundred million administration troops have returned to the city. Directors Burgess and Snow are coordinating their deployment with Hestia, the familiar faces have a slight calming effect among the population. 0.003% complete.

“Master~” Ayla calls out to you, “ready? 3 – 2 – 1 – Go! ”

She suddenly plunges her hand into her abdomen and rips out a glowing orb of mana. Then she starts giggling.

“I knew that would work, isn’t that much easier master?” Ayla questions you while cradling the mass of power in her arms. To your senses it seems like a ball of living mana, much like Ayla herself, but less stable.

That slowly starts to change though as you see the magic start to collapse into the form of a baby, a beautiful little –

After half hour of flying you reach your destination. This is the first time you are attending a professional Quidditch match and this is the first time you see a real stadium. You follow Tim and his father. Tim has a big Wales hat on his head, a green hat with a red dragon roaring around. You see mostly Wales fans but there are a few people with Syrian flags as well.

The stadium is very nice and big. You are impressed. You can't imagine how it would feel to play here as a player infront of such a big crowd, even though the stadium is not full it is still impressive for you.

The game starts slow. Both teams are cautious and not using any fast or risky tactics. Tim's father is chatting with another man who is seated next to him and you are talking with Tim casually while watching the game. The weather is warm and clear. The stadium is dominated by Wales fans and their cheering. A few dark hooded figures pass your seats and block your view for a few seconds and you miss Syria score a fantastic point as even Tim cheers, sounding impressed.

The game continues for another half hour as Wales starts to play more aggressively and they are ahead of the Syria by 50 points.

You and Tim get some snacks while watching the game. They are called Snake Crackers as they look like live small worms but when you eat them they crumble in your mouth and have a salty taste. You like it.

Then something goes wrong.

You hear a big explosion and suddenly all the lights of the stadium goes black. You can't see much, the sky is almost dark. You hear screams and cries of pain. You have no idea what is happening. Suddenly somebody hits you from behind and you fall down. People are running around. You hear Tim calling your name but suddenly everyone is running around and there is a complete chaos. You think you fall down at least two rows in front of you and have hurt your knee.

Help me out /tg/
I'm going to use a DnD-esque holiday game for some people, and I need help with the setting. Pic related is a WIP map, most of the world is going to be taiga, tundra, frozen desert etc.

What should I call the places? The only one I got in mind right now is a town called St. Nicholas, but there's going to be more

What gods, creatures and people dwell on this world? Keep in mind that everything is cold as fuck

Also any other suggestions are really appreciated.

What's that, Skippy? You want another story?

Hear that, Skippy? That's the sound of...my power drill being unpowered. How unfortunate.

Oh well, since I can't get rid of you, I might as well accomodate you with one, and it's even techpriest related. And Violent, too. You like violence, right?

This happened on the very same ship which the whole noble massacre thing happened, then again, I am one of the crew of the Foregone Destruction, so no surprise there. There was actually another massacre, happened two months after we slaughtered half the noble population of the Segmentum, except this time, we weren't the ones that did it. Instead, a techpriest did. Nope, nothing special about him, he was just a member of the Mechanicus detachment that was assigned to me when I volunteered to serve as Explorator.

His serial number was quite damaged when he was identified. Only remaining number was 9, and buggered if I could remember what his name was before he went berserk, so we'll just call him by the only thing we could identify about him, and that's 9. What, you have an issue with that? Go fuck yourself.

The funny thing about some of the more rigid head-up-ass types in the Mechanicum, is that, no matter how much you explain or go into detail about how using some Xenostech is fine as long as humanity comes out on top, they'll still insist you toss every piece of Xenostech overboard and destroy it. Now, I'm no radical, and trust me, I know what's it like to have to deal with a fellow priest who would probably end up fucking every piece of interesting tech they find, but I've always been a proponent of the usage of Xenostech in necessary situations, because when you have to choose between using abominable technology or getting killed by a daemon, I'll pick the one that doesn't cause several thousand years of buggery, thank you.

Our friend, 9, was of the thought that all Xenostech is to be destroyed immediately, so imagine his shock when he was not only placed in the vicinity of Xenostech, but forced to ignore it, and occasionally even interact with it in a way that isn't destroying it. Not very fun, as you might imagine. However, shotgun persuasion and the promises of archaeotech in the future both add up to be very persuasive. Or so we thought. Well, atleast they didn't openly rebel.

First hint that something was wrong was when a routine check-in had three techpriests missing. 9, Theta-54 and K-PP-Q. Of course, in the depths of a massive voidship, losses were expected. Most of us didn't really pay it much heed, the Voidmaster most of all for the main reason that, hey, we Techies aren't exactly the most responsive when we start focusing on our work.

Only person who gave a toss was me and a few of the other Techpriests. One single techpriest going MIA, we can accept, but three at once is too much of a coincidence. Unfortunately, they really didn't give a shit, with the Trader himself telling us to shove a stick in it and choke. Of course, this all came to a halt when the Seneschal went missing.

Okay, the Seneschal going missing. Not exactly a big deal, he's a pitiful drunk, so it's likely he could've stumbled into a corner and cried himself to sleep for the ten thousandth time, but usually he was up awake and reporting in for duty even while soggy and unkempth, but three days passed and there was no sign of him. Not to mention, there usually tends not be a detached hand with the Seneschal's ring just lying around in the lower decks for a deck dreg to find.

Having the Seneschal brutally murdered tends to be a pretty bad thing. Even if he was drunk off his ass, he had enough guns, weapons and sense on him to fight off any attacker, atleast long enough for someone to realize there's fighting going on and investigate or raise the alarm, so whomever killed him was no normal man. Naturally, we turned towards the Deathwatch Killteam that had otherwise been skulking in their rooms refusing to say or do anything because, you know, Xenostech. We never did get much out of them either, but pict records only showed them leaving once, and that was weeks ago on their complimentary tour.

Since the Space Marines weren't guilty of killing anybody, or atleast not the Seneschal, we deducted that we either had a Xenos infiltrator, a daemonic possession or even a Chaos Space Marine. Of course, we didn't suspect any of the crew, much less my Mechanicus detachment, so we did the best we could. Send Servitors with pict-recorders strapped to them to roam the ship whilst we had the deck dregs comb every vent, shaft and hole they could reach, with specific orders not to engage if they found anything, but to return and report.

We had six false leads, most of them stowaways, and one being just a butchered corpse. In Hindsight, we probably should've paid more attention to that, but hey, violent murders tend to happen amongst the lower-ranking crew, and we thought we'd be searching for something big and scary, whereas the injuries on the butchered dude came from what we thought was a cleaver.

Howver, where six false leads were given to us, even more were given by mere fact that many of the search parties were killed, and the Servitors destroyed. Blokes who were monitoring the screens didn't see anything before the feeds got cut. With no leads and most of the searchers dead or destroyed in the case of the servitors, we decided that, if we're going to do this right, we'd do it ourselves.

We kitted up, grabbed our guns, mustered the nastiest motherfuckers and a few fast runners, considering whomever it was seemed to know how to jam comms, and marched on downwards.

Of course, there was the issue that we were trying to search a maze of rooms and shafts in order to find our culprit. However, with the knowledge that none of the search teams managed to get even an incoherent vox out, we decided that splitting up was a fucking dumb idea. So instead we just pulled random crewmembers we encountered on the way and made them help us by serving as advance scouts.

Your name is Joseph Johanssonn, and you've never really been much of a leader. You've always been the quiet type, the kind of person that fades into the background and gets overlooked easily. Maybe that's why things worked out the way they did. What you did... it all started with the best possible intentions, but wasn't there a little bit of you that wanted recognition, for once? Wanted the whole world to see you taking charge?

But then, were you ever really in charge, or were you just another puppet dancing on Mastema's strings?

Things are going to be different this time around, and if that means you've go to take a step back and let someone else give the orders – so be it. That's why, when you entered the demon world and Leon claimed to know where to look, you followed him with a simple nod. The brash, violent young man claimed to smell demons – a metaphor, you assumed – and took off through the snowy streets, leaving you to hastily follow him. At the risk of sounding paranoid, you really don't want to let him out of your sight for too long.

Although you couldn't really say, if pressed, whether it's for his safety or yours. Both, perhaps.

With the snow piling around you in thick drifts it is, at least, easy to follow in Leon's footsteps. For someone who claimed to know exactly where to find some demons, he's certainly taking a winding, circuitous path to whatever destination he might have in mind. It's almost enough to convince you that he's wandering aimlessly, ducking in and out of random buildings in search of something – anything – that might allow him to claim success.

It's only when you catch up with him outside a squat block of cracked and blackened concrete – a warehouse is the closest comparison you can draw – that you get the impression that he's found something.

“Aye,” Leon nods sagely as he examines the hideously ugly building, “This is the place.”

You doubt that, but pointing that out wouldn't really help things. Keeping your opinions to yourself, you follow Leon into the dreadful building, glad for the shelter if nothing else. The inside looks like something that a tremendous fire has ripped through, leaving the walls scorched and coated with greasy soot. Your footsteps echo as you both walk through the empty halls, creeping around pillars and columns.

“They're in here somewhere,” Leon grunts, leaving a clean handprint on a wall as he touches it, the oily dust sticking to his skin, “Just gotta find 'em...”

As he mutters to himself, you glance to the side and spot a faint glow, like flicking candlelight, coming from behind one of the thicker columns. There's something there, clinging to the opposite side. Has Leon really not noticed that?

They get lost in the bureacracy. I assume that they'd eventually be accepted after being vetted, but it could take centuries.

After the party agrees they enter the man's sled pulled by reindeer and travel for a few days in the frozen forests of the northern lands. Eventually they enter a cavern, where they'll be forced to fight a goat-like demon called Krampus.
