Alright so I hope this thread shouldn't be in /r/ but I'm not usually on this board but I feel like it's most relevant here.

How do i get into D&D? Are online tabletop D&D sites or just online tabletops made for all games worth trying?

One of my friend groups from college all love D&D, and I've always been more a single player PC only RPG fan, however my friends and I would make up fantasy stories and they keep asking me to DM or whatever for them (I lied and claimed I was "familiar" with D&D). I'm pretty good at story creation and dealing with ad-libed stories, responses to my stories, and the wtf D&D on somethingawful, but that's it.

Should I just dip out or should I learn? If I want to learn is there a good way to? I assumed I'd watch some people play online tabletop D&D on Youtube or twitch or whatever, but I feel like I'd probably need a primer too.

I guess general thread for new D&D players too.

I don't get why the Emps picked him to be top dog among the Primarchs. Guilliman and the Ultramarines were the beast tacticians. Dorn and the Fists were the most loyal and Imperium loving to where Emps only fought alongside them. Sanguinius and Magnus were the physically and psychically most powerful. Vulkan and his Salamanders were the most human and got along the best with everyone (Sang was kinda like that, too.)

Despite being a slight annoyance the wafting odor of apple pie doesn’t seem to correspond to any mischief. Scorpion demons and scorpion demons hammer on the protective barrier your domain exerts at its edge. Dealing with the merfolk was unpleasant and you may have left a bit hastily, but at this point you wouldn’t be surprised if in the universe was conspiring to keep you away from this part of hell.


“Aurora,” you call out across your bond with your host.

“Yes?” She seems a bit too happy to be talking to you like this.

“I wanted to thank you for your help with the research into worship and ask if you wouldn’t mind focusing on helping things along in that regard.”

“Oh sure I can help do that,” Aurora readily agrees, “I was already planning to help like that anyways.”

“Thank you,” you tell her before letting the communication fall away. It still feels a little strange how suddenly devoted she became; you know it is her own choice but she is taking farther than even the goblins.
“Master!” Ayla yells out to you as after plane shifting in, “that was too mean, escaping that that. I said I was going to come with you remember!”

You can’t help but think that her face being scrunched up in anger is cute too. It doesn’t last long because she isn’t really angry but it was still nice to see.

You are Jareth, Disciple of Elshhu and man with a growing list of enemies despite your sunny and, if you may say so yourself, charming personality. The latest one, a gang of unknown power with a distinctly necromantic bent, most likely has something to do with the siblings you adventure with.

If you were to put two and two together, you'd guess that Iden and Razi are hiding from the gang, and somehow the vague divination you paid for managed to trip the gang leader's violent counter-scrying magics and result in some of the gang members being sent after the unfortunate diviner. You've thrown the necromancers who came knocking on her door off the trail for now, but you've got quite a few questions for your two party members next time you see them.

In the meantime, you've put the displaced diviner up in your inn room with you and your sister. You doubt Gurby'll care about the extra person as long as he still gets his gold on time and you don't wreck the place, so it shouldn't be a problem for any reason save the lack of space. Well, nothing wrong with getting cozy you suppose.

Right now, the diviner in question, Veleska, doesn't particularly look in the mood to much of anything save rest and mull over her rapidly changing situation. It is however only early afternoon despite all the excitement today. The day is still young, and you still have a whole lot of energy to burn through.

"What sort of supplies?" Kells asks, curiously.

"Probably quite a few depending on the plan," you admit, "but right now? The kind where I killed these animals less than a day ago and I need to preserve the meat. Or sell it."

"Miss Burns, about three doors down from the Mercy Hut, makes some fine jerky. I'm sure she'll trade product for raw material, especially if you mention that you're doin' me a favor. In the meantime, my house is your house. Literally." Kells fishes a key from his pocket and hands it to you. "I'll sleep in my boat while you recover. Make use of m'kitchen, my supplies, just don't touch my cash or my rum. Especially not my rum."

"Aye-aye," you say with a grin.

Kami stares out over the edge of Korin's Tower, having flown down with you as you retrieved Korin's last three fully grown Senzu.

"So this Cell guy, he's ate like, half the planet, you guys know that right?" The cat asks, licking his paw, while your former slaves water the Senzu garden.

"Yes." Kami agrees, his usual grim frown on his face, "His ability to split himself let him cover a lot of ground... I fear the Dragon Balls will be required to fix this mess up, before much time has passed."

Korin nods, "Well, you punch monkeys better get going then." He sighs, "None of ya friends are dead yet, but they're not doing to crash hot either." He spares a glance at Kami, "How long you think Piccolo'll stick on our side if we kill this bastard?" He asks.

Kami makes a worried noise in his throat, as you and Bra take off over the railing, headed for Kame House.

You take off eastwards, as Bra pulls up alongside you. "Mama!" She shouts over the wind, "I want to stop by home first!" She calls. "I just realised... we left the time machines laying on the lawn, what if someone robs the place and finds those lying around?"

Well... there were two of them after all, it'd take a concerted effor to gtake both, especially considering they don't have ladders..

Sitting here thinking to myself, why not make a quest? May be low traffic right now, but i'm bored. No source material? I'll let you guys do it. I'll just be the QM, you guys lead the story, post whatever you want to use armour, weapons, or force wise, tell me which planets you want to visit, who you want to waifu, i'll just wookiepedia/star wars wiki everything or whatever.

Last time we had an awesome thread about remaking Naruto.

We had agreed on using Shadowrun as the base for the game but as far as I know have yet to start.

Last time it was decided that along Ninjas also a number of Samurai and Monks existed. Monks were heavy ninjutsu specialists. They could accomplish powerful chakra feats but are not trained in the military field as ninjas.

Samurai got two suggestions:
>1 They infused their chakra in the armor and used the remaining chakra to increase their physical capabilites, non firing ninjutsu.

>2 They are people wothout the chakra system. They developed the big armor to be able to survive and fight against shinobis.


To solve most issues I propose this: In Gene shonobi the Villages and Clans are the same as in canon but there is no character from the actual canon. Esepcialy no Madara Uchiha, and I'm not talking about Edo Tensei Uchiha Madara, I'm talking about ALL Madara Uchihas none of which I want to see.

Well /tg/, after the last sequence of flops, Vault-Tecs approval committee was fed to Deathclaws. So new parameters had to be made.

Roll a D20 using the Board Sticky, rolls higher than 10 are truths about the Vault, rolls of 20 cannot be retconned.

How is it that Angron, who is crippled with blood thirst in battle, the only one who ever looked at the Imperium this way? Are there any other Primarchs who stopped and asked themselves 'maybe we are not right in this'. I remember Horus said he was sick of conquering with war and wanted to try peace (though Erebus quickly fucked that up) but did any go as far as to stop and ask why?
