MFZ bro checking in! Just reorganized some stuff into a bigger tacklebox/sewing box holder. Christ, when you get deep into LEGOs it's tough to keep track of stuff.

I'm about to deconstruct a few things and have a friend over tomorrow for a demo. Time to build the construction-frame theme I've been wanting to do.

Do you guys build to have the frames stand on their own, or on a base? I'm contemplating getting a few 5x5s and 7x7 plates to make bases, that way I can incorporate some terrain and have them be more sturdy.

Follow-up, how do you transport your armies?

Third follow-up, what condensed rules do you guys use to help demo for new players? I found a text-only condensed (no lore, no builds, just the rules) but it's still kinda hefty because of large print and stuff.

Light is already creeping through the window in the ruined tower when you wake, dancing over wilting moss. You’re lying in bed with Hiss still sleeping beside you and you feel fantastic. Last night had been hard but it seemed like the Duke finally made Hiss curb her ambitions, you had actually gotten through to Zigzag about anything and Hiss had told you that she loved you.

Did the dm give any reason why he wouldn't allow it?

Wait, he hits people with his dead wife?

Wouldn't her bones get fucked up and smashed to bits from rattling around inside the coffin?
For that matter, how does he even hold it? Did he fit extra handles on the side that help him to swing it properly?
How is a wooden coffin resilient enough to get smashed against things? The planks wouldn't be strong enough to hold up for long, especially if you're braining people in helmets and full armor?

More importantly, why is he avenging his wife when he seems super keen on showing her the maximum disrespect possible?

Ebin memeing aside, what game was this for? As a GM, I'd like my players to show a bit of creativity from time to time, but if it means having to work against the system to get a mechanical representation that 1. satisfies the player 2. is manageable 3. doesn't take up all the fucking game, I will say no.

This curious device is more living creature than unfeeling weapon. A spiraling shell with multiple chambers protects its gastropod host while allowing several individually harmless chemicals and fluids to mix and be fired with great force and distance. These fluids are produced by several organs and glands and once mixed ignite into a powerful burning liquid capable of melting metal and stone. This mixture burns for quite some time, reducing the effectiveness of armor or completely dissolving unarmored targets.

A powerful FTL-Engine powered by the powdered bones of Osjiic Voidsingers and Deathswatch Guard the Void Drive creates a condensed bubble of space-time around a ship, allowing it to travel vast interstellar distances. While not as fast as the nearly immediate Skip Drive, the Void Drive is much more accurate, allowing the for more precise arrival in a system. Exiting FTL produces a flare of radiation and distorted light that is proportionate to a ships size, small craft and sub-capitols easily missed in the background radiation while capitol ships and larger appear in a miniature nova of energy.

Weiss Schwarz is the most competitive game out there. But only if you're playing Standard format.

Out of the ones mentioned, Magic hands down is the best. It manages to have a deep and complex system with a lot of mechanical power without fucking it up with shit that doesn't make sense or doesn't really work. Most of the time, playing a game of Magic isn't that complex, but there's a whole underlying system that supports basically any sort of mechanic you can imagine (that makes sense) and makes the extremely precise and logical when it needs to be.

Just as you're packing your things away, Nila notices the dried husks of the silver leaves slip out of your bag and drift to the floor. Almost at once, she snatches them up, her eyes wide. She looks between them and you, an expression of shock on her face. "Where did you get these?!" she demands.
"Huh? Uh, I found them in the hills," you explain and tell her the story of your encounter with the bear. Was it already years ago? It feels like just a few weeks.
"I see... So the sapling isn't there anymore?"
"No, the bear stepped on it."
"A shame..."
You frown and gently take back your fragile treasures. "Nila? What's so interesting about these anyway? What're you not telling me?"
"I thought that I'd seen them before," she mutters, "Maybe in that other place..? But it's... Oh well." She sighs and shakes her head, smiling. "It's nothing important. I can't stay however. I hope that you and Ebba are happy together. I'll try and visit whenever I can."
"You're always welcome," nods Beren, happily letting your new child feed. It seems she's already accepted her as Sera's sister. Nila smiles in return and carefully hugs your woman, before kissing you and leaving.

Over the next few days, Sera recovers completely and you carefully store the charm away. Maybe when she's older she can wear it properly. The clan is happy to see her healthy again too and more than a few are interested in getting some of those crystals for themselves, but once they realise they'd have to climb the falls and disturb Nila to get them, interest quickly fades away. Gratitude mixed with fear seems to be enough to keep her privacy for now.

Well, there are plenty from the standpoint of just skipping that much time passing, but I'm guessing you want more physical symptoms.

You could possibly have them be more sensitive to high temperatures. Basically, their body has spent so long frozen that it acclimated somewhat, and feels sweltering in room temperatures. Not enough that they'd need a special suit like Mr. Freeze, but they'd definitely lean towards the low end of the thermostat.
