Hello! I can't bring myself to shell out for a new IA11 book just for the army list but I have yet to see a pdf for the rules. For now I just hope I can make a themed Eldar list using a little bit from each of the CE, DE, Harlequin dexes for the true hobbyist dream :)
Anyone had a look at the list yet and have some feedback on the possibilities?
Even more broken than codex Eldar, good job forgeworld.
Those were the rumours: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2015/10/40k-rumors-new-eldar-corsairs-super-power-creep.html
While they seem to have strong options it seems there are a lot of themed options.

You are colonists sent out to establish a permanent presence for your country in the New World. It has been just over a century since this great western continent was first discovered by an expedition of the great fairy Kingdom of Merida. Your people are not the first to settle in the New World and you won't be the last, but in the name of which Great Power do you set forth to claim the bounty of this unspoiled land?
A) Kingdom of Kolding, Northern Metropolis - A relatively small realm which has, by virtue of its strategic position, managed to become a major power especially in the realm of trade.
Race: Beastfolk (Cat People)
Government: Administrative Monarchy
Ideology: Liberal
Ideas: Innovative
B) Archduchy of Schwaz, Continental Suzerain - That grandest of dynasties which currently protects dozens of smaller realms as Emperor-elect.
Race: Human (C. European)
Government: Noble Republic
Ideology: Conservative
Ideas: Defensive
C) Sultanate of Izmir, Mage Conquerors - The preeminent Eastern power in the Old World, a massive realm of magically adept beastfolk who recently seized the great World-City of Noreia and extinguished that ancient empire which built it.
Race: Beastfolk (Bunny People)
Government: Despotic Monarchy
Ideology: Conservative
Ideas: Offensive
D) Beitar Illit, Dwarven Separatists - Not actually a nation, Beitar Illit is the city with the largest population of ethnic Dwarves in the Old World. Many feel that they need to establish a nation for themselves, and so the expedition was funded.
Race: Dwarven
Government: Athenian Democracy
Ideology: Conservative
Ideas: Espionage
E) Another Option

I've never played a magical bunny before. Perhaps I should.
Option C.

Seconding what he said.
I'll start it in ~30 minutes or whenever something gets 4 votes, whichever comes first.
>>44072235
Well they're supposed to be humans with bunny ears and tails (Izmir in particular is brown people), not anthropomorphic bunnies, but whatever floats your boat.
For the gun nuts & /k/ommandos here, how would you "realistically" handle aiming & shooting (single shot, repeating-action guns, semi-auto, burst-fire, full-auto, etc)? Is it more realistic to have autofire make you less accurate/less likely to hit from recoil, or more likely to hit from the volume of fire?
One thing I've noticed in the RPGs I play is how generalized aiming is. There's no difference between hip-shooting, aiming, and then taking your time to /really/ aim. The first or second is assumed to be the default, and then aim-actions are dedicated to the latter.
>>44072002
>There's no difference between hip-shooting, aiming, and then taking your time to /really/ aim.
Stop playing those RPG's then.
>>44072481
well which do you recommend? how do they handle autofire and aiming?
One of my group members wants to assassinate another member (We'll call them A and B), and I'm not sure how to proceed. DnD 5e
A plans to drug B with something that will put him into a deep sleep, and give him complete control of his dreams for a few hours. When B is immobilized, A plans to slit his throat quick and easy. The questions being:
1: Should I give him the kill? I don't really see the point of rolling an attack on an completely incapacitated target.
2: Should I try to keep this knowledge hidden from the rest of the group? I'm not sure if I could trust them to keep from metagaming and ganging up on A if he were discovered.
You should kick player A from the group for being a douchebag who wants to ruin the game for other players. There is no excuse. If you can't play nice with others, you don't get to play. Most people learn this in grade-school.
>>440719281
1. Fuck no.
2. See above.
Are the players in competition over something? What's the campaign like?
How do you justify a young but high-level psyker character?
Why justify it?
>>44071909
Natural skill or inherited, essentially having the required skills to be at such level from whatever reason you choose, and having used that power.
If you mean what specific reason, it could be
>LMAO MY DAD IS A GOD
>LEL I'M THE CHOSEN ONE
>I TRAINED FOR AN INFINITY IN MY PAST DEATH AND NOW I HAVE REAPED THE GAINS I SOW IN MY CURRENT FORM
>I SACRIFICED THE UNIVERSE I HAD ONCE DWELLED IN FOR THIS

>I AM AN ANIME MC
>I ONCE SAVED ALL OF EXISTENCE BECAUSE THE UNIVERSE BELIEVE IN ME

Apparently the old save states are incompatible, they threw out a bunch of legacy support and cleaned up the code, ready for modding. They integrated some popular mods.
I ctrl+f Chaos space marine codex and nothing showed up.
So this is a "What kinds of changes would you like to see for a great Codex; that happens to be Chaos Space Marines?"
Would it make sense to have more variety for the weapons? Or make them highly competitive against some of the more devastating lists out there?
I'm sure that some of the everyday weapons that are morphing have picked up some sort of noticeable change to their stats somehow. Or invent some.
I Wish CSM would have a reliable way of rushing into close combat. Also make possessed good and chapter tactics for legions plz.
>>44071567
I wish they would just go full ham and release side codexes like they do for some Space marine chapters.
Or have a CSM codex that is very substantial with lore and rules to make the different factions feel more unique and usable.
I might be asking too much though I don't know.
>>44071440
I just want new CSM models, the ones we have are old as balls

So I might be running a game sometime in the near future, for people that are pretty new to RPGs (like myself) but long time gamers. I feel like running a pretty regular swords + sorcery dealio but I don't know what system to use
I know how to run D&D 4e and 5e, there's a lot I like about them but they have a lot of problems too. You guys shit on D&D all day here, but I can't recall you ever recommending anything to fill that kind of game.
Surely there'd be some major contenders but I don't really know of any, besides "GURPS and a splatbook, dude"
What are my options?
Strike! RPG.
Fate/Burning Wheel out of combat, 4e in combat.
>>44071368
> Fate/Burning Wheel out of combat, 4e in combat
Is that a serious suggestion? The two are pretty starkly contrasted.
Either way, Burning Wheel is probably too advanced for what I'm after/capable of atm. It has some great ideas but I need something a bit more entry level atm.
AD&D 2nd edition
I need top-down images of vehicles for RPG tokens, Specifically military Vehicles / mecha.
If anyone knows of any good sources, please don't hesitate to share.
Also Token Sharing General I guess.

Rolled 24 (1d100)
First of all - my apologies for the last thread, i was really tired and went to sleep. As an apologie and since im free today im gonna host an extra long session.
Rules: roll a d100 to see the success rate of your comment. Since the rolls last time were really bad you will get a bonus of +5 for dubs, +10 for trips and +50 for quads. Every roll above 85 is a guaranteed success (if neccesary i will still filter bullshit posts)

realising your treants and dryads wont help you agianst fire, bartleby, todd, the shadow and 3 spellweavers are chosen to take on the job. the fight is short, brutal and lots of magic is flying around. they manage to overpower the elemental and get their hands on the book(still needs identifying). your mage group needs a day off after this to recouver from the injuries. since the treants got nothing to do they grow more saplings.
>>44043043
with bartleby and the elven mages occupied elsewere you send a scouting party to the centaurs. as they reach the city they are truely impressed. it seems like the caravan told you the location of one of the centaurs main citys. for the moment raging a war against them would be futile as over 2000 centaurs are living here and even a weak centaur can fight like a bear if you threaten his alcohol or family. your scouts gain access to the city and are now free to either go to the castle and attend diplomatic matters, check out the market and see if they can find something of value or go to the tavern and gather information.
Tribe: 24 Treants,8 saplings, 2 Dryads, 3 dryad saplings, 12 Spitting Flowers on Legs,4 small flowers, Druid Bartleby(70%) and his giant toad Todd(70%), Dryad Freya(125%), 17 female elves, 14 male elves, 17 elven childs, 5 spellweavers, 8 scouts, 1 shadow
Research: none
Magic: Nature Magic; archmage status while in forest, medium on other environement
Defenses: basic forest illusions/labyrinth, Poison Flowers, Drugging Flowers, poisoned shrooms, substitute Tree of Life defended by special grown trees, scouts patroling
Ressources: Sunny with heavy rain showers the next 14 days, stored water will be enough for 10 days without rain, the elves live of the shrooms growing near our tribe and harvest plants from the enhanced soil supported by weavers, only taking what they need.
enough spears and shields to support up to 8 elves in time of need
Upgrades: Spitting Flower can fire drug-darts, fertile lands, treants grow shrooms
Known Locations: Centaur tribe in the Plains (east), Undead swamp (south), Lake in the Forest, 1 Cave in the Forest, undead foretress
Treasure: centaur whiskey (trade good), unidentified spellbook
culture: your tribe is focused around protecting and reclaiming the land for nature and ultimately cleansing the tree of life from every deamonic corruption. this is similar to a religion and your treants are true fanatics of it.
So when can we post?
Hey /tg/, is there any way to make money from dming? Is there a way to make a decent living? I ask because I've been told by every party I've ever had that I'm a really good dm, and I really love doing it... I was just wondering if such a thing was even possible.
Pic unrelated.
Haha, no.
And never DM again.
>>44070788
You could, but then you'd get a whole party of those guys.
>>44070788
Her nipples are in a very odd location.
My players want to run a GATE themed game. I thought the show was fun to watch, but no way realistic. How does /tg/ think things would go down if a fantasy world invaded Japan like in the animu? Or should I change were the portal is? Any thoughts tg?
>>44070684
Japan is fine, if you dont mind weeabo stuff.
A lot depends on which fantasy setting you are gateing to. As far as what would happen if gate...I think its pretty acurate. The Gate world does not have rampant magic the way say, Greyhawk or Golarion or Toril would. And the result is pretty much what you would expect when modern army goes against roman legion.
You open a portal to Golarion though, and you have things like ancient, intelligent dragons, centuries old litch lords, and other monsters that can change reality on a whim, and suddenly you wind up with a setting that looks more like pacific rim than gate. It all depends on where ya go.
Then again, its an anime about a magic gate opening up to a fantasy world, how much realism do you want?

So umm... Why does Edward Raggi get such a strong Hatdom? I mean sure you don't have to like his games but I don't get all the personal snuff.
Lamentations of the Flame Princess General as well I guess.
>>44070213
I don't get it either. I guess maybe some neckbeards are miserable angry dickheads who need someone to project their anger on?
I haven't read a lot from him, but I wouldn't describe what I have read as "smug" or "insufferable." That seems like people reading in stuff that's not there.
Then there's all the internet urban legends, like "he had a bad breakup and then made the Flame Princess to look like his ex so he could commission art of her being killed OMG" which is total bullshit, but I can see that folks who buy into that would be predisposed to hate him.
Personally I don't really care about his personal life, as long as the game is good, and it's SO damn good. He'd have to be a lot worse, lot Varg Vikernes level, before I'd even kind of give a shit about the designer's personal failings. (Though Myfarog would be shit even if Varg was a really good guy)
>Hatdom
>>44070213
I'm not someone who really cares about him either way, but something I heard about was that when people complained about the over the top gore in the artstyle and story he intentionally went out and made another adventure with an effort to be as gory as possible.
Keep in mind that that's just something I heard in a Flame Princess thread I read ages ago, but the guy does seem to be a bit up himself to respond to criticism like that.
Other than that it's probably something blown way out of proportion.
