Could a Shadowrun decker fuck up a Digimon by hacking it? I'm actually curious, because Digimon has pulled off some serious power bullshit in the past, but they are still data so a decker could probably fuck one up.

If one can, what's the most a decker can mess up when it comes to Digimon?

Welcome to The Lost Island Quest. Last thread our hero, Alan Rodain, returned to Seaside having successfully completed his objective and was rewarded handsomely for his efforts. After participating in a late night celebration at The Sword an Shield tavern, he spent a week studying Orcish and discussing theological doctrine with Dolah at Father Calloway's chapel. After achieving a competent understanding of the language, he stopped an assassination attempt on Father Calloway's life, most likely orchestrated by one of the rival healers in Seaside.

You look down at the gun in your hands, warmth emanating from it as the last lingering wafts of smoke drift up from the barrel. You quickly check the cylinder to see it has five bullets left of its eight chamber maximum. A quick once-over glance makes you think its works on some sort of spring-lock system. It's a bit hefty, it looks a little beat-up and you have no training with the thing, but it may come in handy. You shove it into your pocket before observing the gunman. He's still out cold from that punch of yours. You notice your knuckles don't hurt as you flex your hand. Definitely retained what you picked up from that spar with Gabby.

He looks dirty, and is covered in some sort of rash. His clothes are stained and his short black hair looks matted to his head by sweat and grime.

“Please.” Father Calloway starts to speak from the floor as he picks himself up. “Don't kill them.” Dolah snorts as she grabs the man she subdued by the collar.

“Oh, we aren't killing them.” She throws him into one of the church pews violently, before looking out among the rest of the parishioners. The gunshot startled them and most are standing, staring wide-eyed at you. “Citizens. Leave. Now!” The attendees break into action, gathering their things and filing out of the church, the permission to remove themselves from the situation being the only impetus required.

“Who sent you?” Dolah slaps the man across the face and he starts to sputter and cough, still recovering from passing out. When he seems more focused on his own pain than answering her question, she grabs him by the shoulders and shouts in his face. “WHO SENT YOU?” You can see the spittle fly. She throws him back into the church pew.

You've never seen her this angry before. She's kinda scary.

Well, the first and most important part is deciding if the game is either Real (Gundam, VOTOMS) or Super (Mazinger-Z, Getter, GaoGaiGar, Gurren Lagann), and make sure your players know which genre it is. I wanted to have a Super Robot game and I ended up with one player using a power armor.

Don't be afraid to homebrew weapons and abilities. Also, I recommend using Battle Century G. It's not hard to get into, pretty simple and building a mech is easy.

If you want to run a 80's style show, don't be afraid to run tropes completely straight instead of making subversions. For mecha, trying to subvert will more often than not make it worse when all a player want is play in a heroic game.

In the 1990s there was an Italian Fist of the North Star roleplaying game created using the Simulacres system. I have scoured the Internet for English translations and any available downloads but the content that's out there is sparse at best.

So, Hokuto no Ken thread? Which system would you pick for a North Star game? Where can I find an English translation of the old Italian game? Why is Rei so pretty?

What kind of craft charms would you all like to see out of Infernals and Lunars?

>What kind of craft charms would you all like to see out of Infernals and Lunars?
I'm not convinced that Lunars should have Charms specifically for Crafting, though obviously they should have Charms that can also be used to help with Crafting. As for Infernals, I'd kind of like something that lets you use the Craft Ability to 'craft' living beings. It just seems appropriate to me.

>I'm not convinced that Lunars should have Charms specifically for Crafting, though obviously they should have Charms that can also be used to help with Crafting.

Why not?
>>
>>44078674
Mainly because I don't see how such specific Charms could feel like Attribute-based Charms rather than Ability Charms in denial. Obviously I'd had nothing against it if the devs or someone else came up with Lunar Craft Charms that feel thematically appropriate for Lunars, but I don't see Lunars having a set of Craft Charms as all that important. Something like, say, a Charm that lets you complete the design part of any project in your dreams, shortening the time actual execution takes, maybe giving some Craft XP but also benefiting other undertakings, would be more to my taste.

Howdy partner, welcome to Bazrael's Western Herobuilder.

But put your history books and your highschool maps away, this isn't the old frontier you studied in history class.

This is the Fantasy Western Herobuilder. Where the the Dire Bufallo play. A world of magic and super science, witches and clanker bots and all sorts of fantastical things.

And that's where you come in parnter. But just who are you?

A pilgrim making a homestead, a lawman on the hunt, a criminal, a slave, and indian?

That's a story to tell.

[Amelia Rider]
Amelia raises her wand towards the enemy witch as a string of magical energy bolts from her wand and starts to wrap around her. You got her!

>Gain Combat Skill: Magic Binding Rope

But before she can pull down the other witch simply laughs.

“Let's go for a ride!”

Without warning Amelia feels herself thrust into the air and suddenly she's dangling high above the battlefield while in front of her the woman on the broom cackles.

You're being dragged through the sky! All around you below the horrific battlefield rages, but it looks like the Witch is dragging you near some Union gun positions. That's not good!

[Andrew Johnson]
1. Your father in law and the other tribal leaders inform you of the going-ons of the camp. At first, before you arrived, times were difficult. An influx of refugee's from the other nations, gigantic bugs roaming our hunting grounds, we were running out of space, out of food, and out of hope.

Then things changed when prophet showed up. His messengers came with great supplies of corn, corn which has so far sustained the tribe for a long time, and calling all able bodied men to war allowed the old, the women, and the young men and children to live off the food supplies.

The corn shipments stopped once the Union arrived however. With corn shipments being halted, and the hunting grounds still infested with masses of insects, while we do have supplies for now, this village won't last until we get more.
>>
>>44078222
2. The original officers that greeted you earlier have left, as of right now Captain Harland and Lt. Greely. Thanks to your previously military experience, coupled with the fact that you served under Colonel Buster and are, after explaining, the acting Chief of the village, the welcoming they give you is relatively warm. You all know the Union prefers to get straight to business, so excessive cruelty is unnecessary. They're only job is to pacify occupied territories, and make sure the railway gets through and on time. And so far, the Grassy Plains has not done anything to warrant aggressive action, besides the incident with the young men earlier.

You mention the corn shipments, to which their reply is considering how far the front has moved, those shipments are probably being turned back dozens of miles away, and it is unlikely they have any ability to allow them in. Much less if they haven't stopped entirely. Then you ask about sparing the Union for food for the village, to which you get the reply that they will “consider the situation and if found feasible make plans to appropriate it when possible, but being we are at war and have soldiers to feed we cannot assure when they will come”. You're able to tell that they're either not going to be able to get food, or if they do, not nearly enough.

In other news, you get another message. They're asking you to head towards the rail depot.

Apparently. . .your family has arrived.

Discussion about Modern goes here.

Could Mardu Midrange ever be a real deck like Jund and Abzan?

Maybe. It shares two colors with each of the decks you mentioned, so it might not be immeasurably different. I think you could just slam good BW removal/ efficient creatures into a deck and then use Oros or Gisela as your win con. I'd probably be almost more of a control deck without the counterspells, which would be kind of a problem.
I think it could be done, but there are probably JUST better options.

What's Guild Ball?

Short answer: The best game you haven't played

Slightly longer answer: Medieval mob ball crossed with gladiator combat from the coliseum.

Long Answer: Guild Ball is a table top skirmish game for a fantasy sport. You win by reaching a set amount of points before your opponent, which are gained by taking out his team, scoring goals, or a mix of the two. Playing Football or focusing entirely on combat are equally viable ways to win.

Teams represent one of the various trade guilds, currently there are 8 playable guilds with more being released next year. Guild ball is simple to pick up but hard to master. Teams are composed of six models, fielding a team for a full sized game costs <$100 USD.

Rules and templates for proxy models are available for free http://guildball.com/#downloads

Abridged Lore:
> Stupid humans are stupid humans and start fighting amongst themselves. Conflicts continue and escalate, strings of wars break out across the entire continent that become known as the Century War
> Century War is fucking ruining everything. The various trade guilds realise this is ultimately going to do nothing but bankrupt them and leave all their customers dead.
> Guilds unite behind the political scenes and simultaneously lean on all the weakened countries to eventually broker a peace.
> Realising that humans are fucking stupid ass animals, if they don't give them something to channel their aggression and nationalistic pride into the peace will be shortlived and the wars will resume.
> Guilds nationalise mob football, a popular peasant game in every country, as Guild Ball. Guild Ball essentially becomes Europe's The Premier League + Roman Gladiator fighting.
> Guild ball is keeping the peace but also now making the guilds a fuckload of money.
