If you had a gun to your head and were forced to come up with a set of 10 to 15 "elements" for classification of standard fantasy monsters, what would they be?
Each element must have room for variety, and can't be inherently good or evil.
The effects of elements on game mechanics are not important to this question. It doesn't necessarily work like Pokémon.
Please no periodic table.
Please no surprise or heart or other joke option.

It is the Year of our lord, 1135.
You are Hugo, squire of Ramla, currently in service to Sir Orlando Grenier.
And you have found yourself in Tripoli, with Sir Orlando negotiating trade to help enrich his master, your brother, the lord of Ramla.
You had not come alone to the port city. With you was another knight in your lord brother's service, a fellow German called Sir Hector. A sober faced man, he was a skilled warrior and the two of you had engaged in martial study while Orlando convalesced from nights spent at drink. Older than you by several years, he was quiet in most times except when drawn into swordplay, offering little of himself outside those times. But you felt much of his character in your clash of arms, and you reckoned him a fierce man beneath that stoic mask.
Getting to Tripoli from Sidon had been by boat. It had been smooth sailing under the steady hand of a Roman crew. Tripoli policed its waters well, and there was little threat of pirates of heathen reavers. Still, many of the others journeying up the coast watched the seas fearfully for sight of the high water brigands that had made a terror of the coastal pilgrimage routes.
A shared relief was felt once they made dock in the waters of Tripoli. The banner of Count Pons flew from the rampant walls of the sea facing wall, manned by watchmen whose duty was to alert the city in sight of potential threats. The three of you were admitted to the city beneath that banner, with a waiting party of noblemen besides.
Men-at-arms in gambesons and with spears stood with straight backed knights dressed in fine tabards worn over silken doublets. At their head was Count Pons himself, the older man slowly turning to grey years, armed as if for war. You had met him a few times in the past, but you could not say you knew him. But he was counted a friend to your brother, and a fierce supporter of the queen. It was a very martial greeting.
You had done your best to make Orlando presentable, and despite the night before being spent in drinking games with Roman sailors he looked every bit the proper Levantine knight when he received Count Pons' greeting, taking a knee with clear eyes before the lord of Tripoli. You took a knee as well, so did Sir Hector, as was only right. Count Pons was a powerful man.
"Stand," he had little warmth in his voice. You think he still counted Orlando traitor, and when his eyes lingered on the knight it was with contempt, "I send your master warm greetings." But none for the delegate himself. To you though he bowed, with a gentleman's smile. "Young Hugo, good it is to see you again. I've not seen you since your victory at the tourney of St Peter and Paul. A mighty showing. You did your brother credit."
You resisted the urge to blush, but couldn't keep from smiling.
He took Hector with the most basic of good manners, not being familiar with the man.
"Quarters have been arranged for you and yours," Pons spoke to Orlando, "And tables set in my hall for dinner."
"Our thanks," Orlando said. The two walked towards the sea side keep, a casual amble.
As they did you felt a pinch at your own sleeve and looked behind you. The count's son Raymond had come upon you unawares, wearing a doggish grin. Him you knew better. Indeed you owed Sir Raymond your life. He had rescued you from a back alley death in the heart of Jerusalem.
"Come," he motioned in a different direction, "Let's palaver, the two of us."

ghoran are pretty sexy
So, I've been invited to a silly game and I've decided to make a Pathfinder Magical Girl using the Aegis class, since summoning a psychic suit seems like a great basis for magical girl transformation shenanigans.
However, looking into it, how reliant will I be, as an Aegis, on putting shit together on the fly? Looking at the rules for how customizations work, it seems like I'll be rebuilding a significant chunk of my character every fight. Is it as confusing as it seems, or are there tricks to it?
I'm also going to be using some of the material from the Path of War 2 googledocs, specifically the Aegis customizations which grant Maneuver Progression. My question is, how does this interact with the Aegis's ability to chop and change customisations all the time? Can I change my maneuvers known almost as easily as I can change my maneuvers readied? Can I swap out entire Disciplines on the fly? I get that it's playtesting content, but I'm trying to figure out the intent behind it, and if I'll be gimping myself by mostly sticking with a standard setup and tweaking the details, like speccing into energy resistance if an opponent has elemental attacks and so on.

So at level 19, you can shoot a blast dealing 10d6 (*1.5 if you empower it) plus an extra 22d6 to 48d6 untyped damage, +another 6d6 if you overchannel, -2d6 to empower it, or -4d6 to maximize it (if you took those metapsionics). 300 damage +10d6*1.5 seems pretty good to me, even if it's not winning the DPR olympics, the average CR 20 monster has 370 hit points.
Could a min/maxed 1st level AD&D 2e character defeat a regular first level 5e character?
How long is a round in 5E?

six seconds

6 seconds, I think?
Let's say they're working on the same time though. All we're looking at is the numbers on the character, as if one appeared in the Monster Manual of the other game

You and Ansi manage to remove the mind control spell from New Flight member Risa. You've healed her up for good measure, and are now just talking over your next action.
"Alright, alright..." You say, smiling, "we've figured this out. Now we just... Know it in case we run into anyone affected by Lupus' brand of brainwashing."
"Nifty. They gonna go down without a fight, though?"
"Probably not. The subject needs to hold still for the spell to work, which Risa... Has been, obviously."
"So," Gyo pipes in, "do we just... Leave her here? I mean, if the spell's been lifted, she won't hurt anyone, but... I dunno, it wouldn't sit right with me."
"What else are we supposed to do? Have someone stay with her? Wait for her to wake up? It's a waste of time and manpower," Ansi responds.

Your world is darkness. For a moment there was nothing, then there was. Air blows in, filling your being with your first breath, your form becoming solid as your senses kick to life. You are suddenly aware that you weren't aware of anything. Your arms press against the sides of your confines. Four solid walls, a round roof above you. As you feel against these walls you come to the realization that you can feel the walls, too. The darkness, the tight space becomes very comfortable to you, and your distress vanishes as you breath out for the first time. You feel like you could drift right back off to sleep, to the endless darkness from which you came, but a loud, hollow knocking jerks you from these thoughts. Muffled noises come from beyond your walls and you realize that there is a world outside this. You gather your strange and push against the roof, and the confines crack. Light flows in from beyond, and causes your eyes to flutter, your arms wobbling under the weight of your own lid. In a triumphant push, you manage to throw it up enough, and you slip your upper body beyond, the weight of the lid resting against your back.
"Oh, Good! You're awake." A voice from above fills your mind as your eyes slowly adjust to the light, and you drag your eyes upwards, your entire body feeling like it was made from led as it hangs loosely from the box you came from. "You're a little smaller than I was hoping for..."
Before you stands a tall woman, wrapped in dark robes. She rests on a large staff made of black, gnarled wood, tipped with a red, cracked gem. Her face is pale, and angular, eyes a deep purple, two thin pointed ears on either side of her head. Around you is what appears to be some sort of lab, tables lining the walls, covered with a chaotic mash of bottles and books and other various knick-knacks. A full body mirror stands at one end, by a table that holds a sewing kit and robes in various states, magical crystals jammed into the corners of the table. On the floor is a large red circle surrounding you, strange runes engraved within. The woman clears her throat, and speaks up.
"Hello, Little one! I, Vaegus, Am your creator! Heed my word and obey my command!" She drawls off, looking quiet proud of herself. "You have been created to serve me and protect this dungeon, in service of the Great Deceiver, Master of Magic and ruler of the darkness! He who lords over this land, deep within the darkest depths of the underground!" She seems to have prepared a whole rant before hand, reading it off carefully and deliberately. You glance around, and down to your own hands. Dark brown, that creek slightly as you flex them...

Swords with names are cool except when unaccomplished losers and douchebags namings their swords to make themselves look cooler, which is just lame for everyone.
As such, naming protocols have been put into place to prevent this from happening. All swords are as a default considered nameless. They can only receive a name after they've been proven in battle. Once they've served their master well killing either five bandits, three enemy peasant levies or one armored knight (or analog in the case of non knight using cultures) in the heat of battle a name may be submitted to the Sword Name's Commission (SNC) in which after verification of these deeds the sword can be named and both name and sword will be formally recorded. Once a name that is not currently held by another sword is submitted and approved, a formal document shall be issued confirming the sword's name and it's owner upon issuing.

There's an odd feeling as Chi-chi and Chuu Lee walk towards the ring, the two of them giving you a nod, Acer wishing his wife good luck. The kids babble their cheerful wishes of good luck to the two women as well. Goku and yourself glance back at Aza, Tyz, and Sugil, the woman having gotten some more popcorn to snack on. Goku taps you on the side with his tail. "I don't really know if I'm okay with all this. I mean, we know what they want to do, and I gotta admit, I'm kinda looking forward to fighting them, but..."
"But?" you repeat. You can mostly tell what's on his mind without even trying to scan it, but there seems like he feels the need to say something.
"Aren't they a bit... too relaxed?" he asks, giving a suspicious look. "They're taking this all so casually. It's strange."

All the ones I've played either: Try way too hard to rape your wallet by sticking to the booster format or are dead. Leading me to the conclusion that people actively want their wallets to be raped.
Which runs counter to my expectations of playing a videogame. If I wanted to become poor in exchange for cards, i'd play an actual CCG in real life like a good goy.
A lot of them commit the sin of having you "level up" your cards. I remember infinity wars being fun, if repetitive
I used to play a lot of D&D 3.5 and it took me quite the research to know how things work in that game and which ones are the best builds.
Now I'm starting with Pathfinder and decided to play a fighter instead of a caster (I got tired of them with D&D) so I was wondering if you guys could point me to the right direction build-wise. Books, feats, classes, everything I should check to get the idea right.
TL;DR: Recommend me some fighter builds for Pathfinder. Any books.
First, do you explicitly want to play a member of the Fighter class, or do you want to play a fun Martial character?
If the latter, look up the Path of War materials from Dreamscarred Press. They're on the SRD, and they're a Pathfinder update of the ideas from the 3.5 Tome of Battle, giving martial characters interesting options and cool tricks to play with rather than just boring attack rolls until the end of time.
>>44080682
>Now I'm starting with Pathfinder and decided to play a fighter
>>44080682
Sadly, the best way to build Fighter in Pathfinder is to makes them into Pseudo-Caster.
For example Eldritch Guardian Archetype from Familiar Folio and Relic Master Archetype from Weapon Master's Handbook.

Information: After being betrayed by the Empress of the Heran Empire, the Saiyans fought a fierce battle that ended in the death of Seripa, and the conquest of the New Heran Empire. Returning to his ship, Daikon was informed that his empire is being invaded. Setting a trap on a distant world, Daikon and the Saiyans now rush to confront the invaders.
Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.
Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.
Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)
During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.
If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).
If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.
If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution
You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

Power Levels (as of the start of this thread)

How you doing today boss?
As your ship touches down, you activate your scouter. Frowning, you see that there are few power levels on the planet in the area of your soldiers. You received messages from your men on your way here, so you expected the situation to be grim, but you were hoping they'd hold on at least until you arrived.
You detect a variety of power levels around a thousand several miles away, accompanied by more than a dozen of five thousand or higher.
You also detect a small group you believe might be survivors.
