The Jawas who had graciously taken you in to be hidden from what they call the “Storm Boys” had given you some element of shelter and medical assistance. On your leg now was a brace for the broken leg which was healing smoothly for now thanks to a capsule of bacta that the Jawas were willing to part with. Along with that was a bacta patch over your forehead that healed up that particular wound too. The Jawas’ doctor (or at least, you assume he was a Doctor) told you that it wasn’t a concussion or anything major, just a rough bruise from hitting your own helmet too hard. You need to get that thing fitted better.
In the night, after the Crusaders had given up searching the Canyon, the Jawas ran out again to retrieve your heavily damaged R-22. There was no way you would leave that behind, not after what you’ve been through with it. Some pilots, and indeed all TIE Pilots, may think their craft is expendable. But not you. To you, a Starfighter is something special, and just abandoning one to the wind is like sending a pet to be put down because it stopped being cute. You sigh as you lean on the good wing of the R-22, looking out at the night sky from the inside of the sandcrawler. The Sandcrawler had been nestled into the cliff wall, hidden amongst the rocks and outcroppings. The night was the only time they could even risk opening up their cargo bay to do any trade with refugees or farmers now, which the Jawas were currently doing.
As they explained to you, the Crusaders were deliberately targeting Sandcrawlers on their ground missions. They stole tech, droids, supplies, food, everything from the helpless Jawas. And the ones who resisted were either killed, or what the Jawas call “Strapping”. You don’t want to know what that last part entails, sometimes things are better left to the imagination.

The Jawa leader who had nearly left you for dead walks up to you. You found out earlier that his name was Fivel, and he had indeed contacted your friends earlier with the location. But he warns you now, “If friends no come tonight, we move out in morning. You free to leave.”
“They’ll come,” you say. “I just hope that whatever favor I owe you isn’t too great, Fivel. I’m not keen on stealing or robbing things for you scavvers.”
Fivel scoffs, clicking his teeth. “We no savage like you think. Storm Boys destroy villages, rob poor, and steal everything! We Jawa no steal from living at least!”
“That doesn’t make me feel better,” you mutter.
“Hmph!” Fivel checks over the bacta capsule sending vital bacta through your leg. “How leg?” You shrug. “See, you owe us for hiding you.” You roll your eyes. Here we go. “You owe us for bacta, and for bacta patch, and for retrieving Starfighter!” He rubs his hands together. “Already thinking of ways to make you pay back!”
“Can we not talk about this now?” you ask.
Fivel clicks his teeth again. “Fine.” You suddenly hear the whistling roar of Swoop engines. You stand up, stepping down to the cargo ramp. The Jawas and hermits standing on the sand turn their heads to see two Swoop bikes ride on in. Kuvasz, Misri, and Vikker. They made it! “Those friends?” You nod.
“Rhys!” Misri shuts off the engine, then hurriedly dismounts, not even taking off her helmet or her riding jacket. She sprints up the ramp, nearly tripping over herself before you hugging you tight. “Oh my God, they thought you were dead!” She rubs her cheek against your chest, sighing in relief. “I knew you weren’t dead!” She smiles, looking up at you behind those wrappings covering her eyes. “I just knew it!” She pats her chest, grinning. “My gut told me so!”
Kuvasz and Vikker run up to you. Kuvasz especially is surprised. “Rhys, you’re alive.”
>>44111966
[3/3]
“No thanks to you,” you say. “Kuvasz, we just ran a blockade that even smugglers would think twice at, why did we just do that?” Kuvasz hooks his thumbs onto his belt, nodding. “I need an explanation and I want it now because damn it I was almost killed. Look at my ship for crying out loud!”
“Oh my God!” yells Misri as she walks over to the R-22. “What did you do!?” She runs her hand along the shorn off left side of the R-22. “How are we going to fix this!?”
Kuvasz grunts, then reaches into his pouch and looks at Fivel. “Hey, you.” Fivel blinks, looking at Kuvasz. “You the leader here?” Fivel nods. Kuvasz softly tosses his ingot of aurodium to a very surprised Fivel. “We got ships that need fixing, we want to fix them, that payment enough?”
Fivel stares at the aurodium, then looks up at Kuvasz. “Y… yes.” Fivel looks at you, surprised, then calls over some of his cronies. They all begin to gather together scrap parts and materials.
Misri again hugs you. “I’m just so glad you’re alive!” She kisses you on the cheek, then continues hugging you tight.
“Yeah, Rhys, cheating death again,” says Vikker. “What can’t you do?” Honestly, you’re not in the mood to have your ego stroked right now. “And speaking of can’t, we’re stuck here. That blockade is not going to be stupid enough to let us leave. And we certainly aren’t going to stick around to help a bunch of farmers.” He looks over at Kuvasz, scowling. “Why did I even hire you?”
“Because you needed a blaster, which you can buy easily without a guy holding it,” says Kuvasz.
> “Just give me a minute with Misri. I just need a minute.”
> “Kuvasz, just explain yourself. I want to know why I almost died doing this.”
> “Can we just take a minute, all of us? I need to think.”

Welcome to the second season of Fate/Maimed Reality.

If you have questions,ask away!
=====
You are on the rooftop, but it’s not you. It’s someone else, whose body you’re occupying. You’re sharply aware of this, just like in your last nightmare.
The girl you’re talking with is extremely sad. Something that shattered her heart happened.
You can’t make out the words she’s saying but you assume she’s talking about killing herself.
The alarm wakes you up before the closure you were longing for reached you. The unpleasant feeling of not being sure whether you saved the girl in the dream from dying or not accompanies you to the shower and to class.
This is the first time since the beginning of the war that you can see Misha seated at her place. Maybe she decided to join in now that she’s not part of the Student Council alliance anymore. Her old bubbly personality seems gone. She's just pretending to focus on the lecture, while her head is probably wandering in wild places.
You breathe a sigh of relief as Mutou assigns you to carry out group work.
You move in immediately just next to her,and start talking.
"Hello Misha.How are you?"
Not an answer, her eyes fixed on the paper in front of you. You've never seen her so down. Probably you underestimated how important Shizune was in her life.
"Hey, it's ok.You couldn't have known.Shizune is being unfair to you".
At the mention of her closest friend,Misha breaks down in tears.
Mutou notices it and signals you to join him outside the classroom. Embarrassment overcomes you,but you get up and follow him anyway. He looks at you with distress. "Johnathan, what's going on with you?"
"Pardon,what do you mean sir?"
"I wouldn't even complain about your performance in my class, given your natural skill in scientific subjects. But you seem totally insulated from the rest of the students. Have you made any friends at all?"
>"yes"
>"Mind your business"
>>44111889
>>"yes"
>>44112154
"Yes, I do", you claim without hesitation. It hasn't been easy, given how hostile everyone's been to you. But you made it.
Mutou raises an eyebrow in suspicion.
"Very well then, I believe you. But you seem to forget that people have boundaries. Even if you believe them to be your friends, you can force yourself onto them. Give them time, show them your open hand, and let them do the rest. Now let's get back to class".
You continue your assignment in silence, thinking of what Mutou told you. After all, this is the way you become acquainted with your former rivals: you just lent them your open hand. Doing the same with Misha should be enough, she will decide on her own whether to accept your help or not.
The lunch ring wakes you up from your thoughts. The assignment was especially demanding today, and doing it without a real partner has taken its toll on you. Now, your stomach is grumbling, and your head is aching for some relief. As you get up and start making your mind up on what to do, you hear a voice calling you.
"Hey, John?"
You turn around: it's Misha. Her eyes are puffy, but she's trying to keep it together.
"Yes, Misha?"
"Do you have plans for lunch? If not, can we eat together?"
You wouldn't have denied her in the first place, but she's so sad and broken that at this point you'd buy her lunch on the top of that too.
"Sure. Where would you like to go?"
Misha shrugs. After all it's up to you to decide.
You had meant to talk with Lily and Hanako in the Tea Room, but maybe Misha could use some friendly company. You could perhaps join Rin and Emi on the rooftop, if they're having lunch there again.
>Go to the Tea Room with Misha
>Visit the rooftop with Misha

You are Amy the Dungeonbreaker. With you is a guy who can't breathe properly and yet is still soloing two ogre-sized sins against nature like he's waltzing across a dance floor with the Duke's fucking daughter, and an undead chicken knight, with all the valor and courage of ten hearty men, doing battle with a demon alongside his skeletal brothers.
But you have eyes for the Vintner.
>>44109941
You've wasted one of your throwing axes already; the Vintner managed to get his spell off, summoning a moving shield of light that he interposes between you and him with fear and fury in his eyes. Good. Let him be scared of you. Let him die in terror and -
...No. Your urge to charge, to leap over the flames that consume the research tables and lick at the screaming, half-made constructs on the slabs, evaporates as quickly as it came. This...this /thing/, this /coward/, this wretch retreating from you in the heart of his own sanctum? He's not worth your hate.
You're better than him. He's a stain, to be excised, but you won't let him own you. Not your body. Not your soul.
You circle, keeping him from rejoining his minions with your presence. That shield is fast, but you're pretty sure that you can move faster - you just don't want to leap into a trap. The Vintner reaches for something under his robes, but he drops it when you jolt your arm at him; it shatters against the ground with a glassy sound.
"It's over," you note grimly. "Nate's going to murder your constructs. Miles never wanted to serve you. Surrender and you might even get treated well, if only because the other two are good people who don't have a personal reason to hate you."
The Vintner's eyes flick to Nathan, and then to Fetch. And somewhere, he finds his courage.
"No!" the sorcerer shrieks. "I will be a god! I WILL MAKE NEW LIFE! MILES, THE CHAIN!"
You follow the incubus's gaze to a length of chain bolted to the wall - a simple thing, four feet in length, resting on hooks. It doesn't look special. But the Vintner is giving it such a look of desperate triumph that you know it has to be more than it seems.
Miles moves to get it, only to be dogpiled from behind by all three undead birds; Fetch lets out a mighty cry of, "YOUR FOE IS HERE! ATTEND TO HIM!" while raking at the incubus's outstretched wings. You wince when you hear Miles screaming in agony. Wing wounds suck.
>>44110131
You and the Vintner make eye contact as you each realize that the other has just seen that. The mage grabs his robes and hikes them up before sprinting after the chain, his shield guarding his back.
Wat.

Stage 108: Sacred and Holy, Profane and Impure.
Toshida Ginka is a very simple person in seeming, but that's not entirely what she is. She is undoubtedly a youkai-born, specifically a child of the kappa, which makes her an unusual sort of spirit child to begin with. Aside from the jaundiced cast of her skin (which is saying something of a pure Japanese), her green hair and a pair of crimson eyes that literally glow in the dark she doesn't really seem all that unusual. You can tell how strong the glow from her eyes is because you can see the light they give off even in the shadow of a tree or building.
She is very polite, and you make her a little nervous, both being a dragonette, and an ocean-going one at that. You don't think she's the sort who likes lilies as a general rule, but this isn't the first time you've seen a non-clan youkai born either bend over backwards or lose their shit entirely when confronted by dragonettes or dragonnes. Something, you suspect, about the seeming spiritual connections that the dragon-children have. Which is often real enough, but that's never been something you've tried to capitalize on, even now.
Considering what a rough morning it's been for you – you're emotionally exhausted even if your body doesn't need sleep or, apparently, food – you're following Ginka-san to meet with the chief diver of the Ama divers that are here today. You're also looking forward to visiting the gardens, but it would be really nice to be allowed to swim in the ocean, even if there's no actual pearl diving involved.
>>44109386
Not only is it illegal to dive in the area because of the pearl farms, it's quite dangerous; less because of sharks and snakes than because of the depth of the water and the somewhat stronger current that can occur near the island. Still, the Ama put on exhibitions regularly, when the tides and currents are at their least dangerous. You nod understandingly as Toshida explains that she's been trained like a human despite her abilities, because unlike her father she doesn't have the water on her head to protect her. “I can still heal from amazing injuries and I have some influence with the plants, but mostly I can just breathe water and swim well. But that won't help against a tide.”
“Only Ryujin can control those,” you agree, the thought of being this much closer to where your father lives kind of daunting in a way.
She leads you through the main building, nodding to most of the people, though she takes care to protect the left side of her face by judicious nods and her long hair. The pass you possess surprises her at first, but you explain that you came with the priestess and are part of her entourage. That gives you a little more leeway than most people, which makes it easier for you to get to where you are going – the locker rooms for the Ama divers, off limits to all civilians. There Ginka is much more at ease, not concerned about the scars along her face at all. The other divers average between twenty and forty years ol6, but there is one older woman whom you recognize as able to see your true nature immediately. Ginka smiles. “This is Zuijin Zunbera-ama, the chief of the Ama divers,” she says proudly. You bow deeply and smile, but the hackles on the back of your neck are raised and you have to work hard at keeping your tail still. Despite your discomfiture, there are a couple of the younger woman who are interested in you and who are gathering around to see you greet their leader.
>>44109433
Zunbera-ama smiles somewhat toothlessly at you, and nods her head slowly. Her hair is white and coiled carefully, held by in place by wooden hair-sticks. She seems fairly spry, and you imagine she's pretty strong to still be diving at this age. But that's not what worries you. The elderly woman in the white outfit of the Ama divers is human, you're fairly sure, but her name is made up of two words. The last is Tutelary Spirit....but her first name is another name for noppera-bo – the faceless spirits that hunt spirit-children.
[] Relax, she hasn't eaten any of the ones here....right?
[] Bow politely and express the honor you have to meet her.
[] Excuse yourself for your presumption, and apologize for wasting her time.
[] Bow and wait for her to acknowledge you.
[] Salute her properly, as a miko should.

We still need to go to an event and a dinner, then it will be a few days
>Will Eldric finally go to Black Lakes to look for investment opportunities?
I will propose it after we are done here, I guess
>And did we get a chance to set up a meeting in the Empire about bringing wayward colonies back under Imperial control?
We haven't, but I suspect that Ren may offer it as a wedding gift if we agree to marry her for it. The general may disagree on the rationale of sending the army in to get a husband, but eh, its still hard to say no to Ren's face
Let's see if anyone else shows up, and hey, if we do end up recovering Alquia as part of the empire, it could be called the United Empire, and we could set a base for a far future of the game, you know?

So for Christmas, a DM friend of mine wants to host a Pathfinder session where every player character is a rip off of a celebrity (Real person, Hero, Cartoon character, ect.)
My choice is One Punch man, any tips or build ideas?
- All players start at lvl 5
- All players have a hefty budget
Also General Silly builds ITT:
Rip off of Kenshiro instead. At least that way it will take more than one punch to defeat someone.
>>44109277
Go for Genos, mainly because Saitama is too powerful. Unless you were going for his transition into One Punch Man, where every level he loses more of his hair...
>>44109277
Remember that part of playing such an overpowered character is giving yourself other weaknesses to make up for it.
Saitama, for example, is not too sharp, has mundane problems like worrying about missing sales, and generally does not concentrate enough to fully utilize his power.
so /tg/, what went wrong?
Did something go wrong? It was just a parasitic mechanic. That's all. Other than that it worked just fine.

>You are allowed to say why you like it, why it's shit or if there are any redeemable factors, as long as you keep it brief

I've been thinking about adding (based on a post here) a kind of sin (maybe also virtue) system. Each race has a sin on which they must sometimes roll to not act upon (based on the classic 7 for now). Ogres have gluttony, a homebrew bat-race wrath and worm-parasites have envy.
(Back Story) my character is a dickass rouge determined from birth to be the world's most powerful gypsy. The only problem is that he has never even seen a gypsy, nor anyone he knows. For where he is at he tries to intimidate with a "gypsy curse" and dresses like how he thinks a gypsy does.
>>44109197
That's a nay in my book.
I feel like it has been done, black eye has a bunch of anti-stats like fear of heights and greed on which you have to roll from time to time. Plus, you could be making you races a lot more one-dimensional if they all correspond with a single biblical sin.
A race should have a rich culture filled with their own drives and morals.

The "Hopefully 4chan wont crash" Edition
Guys I know you continued to post after 4chan launched but I had to go to bed. I saw someone offered to GM in my absence but I'm not going to count any of that.
This has been my first ever thread and really the first time I've ever posted more then once or twice in a handful of threads, though I've lurked for a very long time I have learned a lot about how I want to run the game.
So Here are the New Updated Rules:
1. Game Change: Switching each turn to a season, I think this is going to make things a lot better.
2. I will launch each season with a random event based on tables I have.
3. For you to take a valid turn you must link the new season random event and use the following format.
"Research"
"I want to research this type of technology"
(include a 1d20 roll if you wish to research)
"Build"
"I WIsh to build this random thing"
(No role required but you must have appropriate material)
"Trade"
"These are the trades I agreed upon last season"
(You can make as many as you want but they do not take effect untill you list them in your action the following turn"
"Citizen/people"
"I want to explore this/attack tha/ Build ships"
(This is how you use your population, Note exploring territory does not make it yours untill you sieve it with troops.)
