The answer in both cases is "retarded", or "the same as before but with laser swords and vaguely defined space magic".

You are Urist Twelfthbay, and you are a short, sturdy creature fond of drink and industry.

While that makes you a dwarf(-ish sort of creature), you ARE the moe personification of Dwarf Fortress, so you technically represent /every/ damn creature found in your game. F'r instance, your summons give form to everything from felines to animal men to forgotten beasts, and you're reasonably sure you can channel the respective powers and abilities of the other sentient creatures populating your "world."

You know this because right now, there's a little elf-y part of your brain that's shrieking bloody murder at you.

... well,, not /literally/, but a certain elven quote keeps coming to mind, all snotty and high-falutin and whiny. Elves truly were made for bullying. "Once a beautiful tree, and now?" You can /hear/ the delicate scoff. "It is a rude bauble, fit only for your kind."

Above you, a grand armada of wooden windmills creak as their propeller blades spin in the breeze, their combined strength generating enough power and lift to keep the entire rickety-looking contraption a few feet off the ground. This stupid dwarf megaproject, providing more than enough transmittable power to pump-drain half an ocean's worth of water, will let you make things REALLY fly.

So, yeah, you'll be real damn happy with THIS rude bauble, thank you very much.

After a moment, you turn away, staring out across the rest of your subconscious's Arena. The windmills' wholesale violation of physics doesn't surprise you as much as it /should/- that's why you're trying out this shit in the first place- but it's a little disquieting to watch, and your instincts keep screeching that a cave-in is imminent.

Still, you can't argue with the results- this sort of thing is only possible because Gamindustri's (and/or the hyperdimensional void's) physics have always interacted with your Dwarf Fortress physics in strange and unusual ways. With enough materials and a bit of elbow grease, you're reasonably certain you can replicate this back in the real world, once you wake up-

And speak of the devil, the lights seem to flicker. You're dimly aware that someone's trying to wake you up, either shaking you by the shoulder or screaming into your ear, or both.

You scowl. You don't have much time left!

[ ] [WAKE UP] Given how you'd conked out in the midst of battle, /maybe/ you ought to wake up and make sure everything's okay, because you don't want to wake up eaten by will-o'-wisps.
[ ] [FIND NEPTUNE] ... there's SUPPOSED to be a goddess living inside and/or corrupting your mind. Maybe you should find her before she ruins something important to you.
[ ] [REACH OUT] You ARE curious about what's going on in Gamindustri. Since Histoire upgraded Dwarf Therapist for you, maybe you could try contacting someone else?

Welcome to Corsair Quest, where the high seas pillaging is more legal than not. Usually.
Dice rules for basic skill checks are a standard best of three. Ship-to-ship combat is also uses best of three, but uses two dice for firing success and accuracy.

You are Darmund Hosplitar, a cleric graduate, Ocean-Wanderer, and, as of this afternoon, the House Sword of the Azala city state. However, with your great accomplishments come a plethora of new threats to your home, not to mention your honor. You are under pain of death if you cannot prove yourself as a captain, and with these mysterious sorcerer-pirates plaguing the routes between Mala and the Hassern Empire, there is certainly a hell of a lot to prove.

You've taken command of a Seventy-Gun behemoth named The Windswept. However, the ship needs a crew, and it can't come from the navy itself. You opted to return to what was once your home in search of fresh Clerics who you can enlist as officers. The monastery hovers above you, built into the side of the same mountain that the upper parts of the city occupy. It's an enormous black-brick fortress, with spires tall enough to look like peaks themselves. A plateau at the apex of the mountain is marked with lush green, where clerics like yourself trained.

There's no way this is here, christ alive it's been months.

Almost all of the Naval officers come from the monastery. It's the only real academic institution that Azalans can use. Each city state on Mala has at least one, each with slight stylistic differences in the way they use the Kain; the embodiment of natural aspects of life. Your training was heavily influenced by the empire. They taught forms of Imperial Swordsmanship, and graduates were even taught to duel in Hassern manner.

As you begin the trek out of the city, a thought occurs to you. You're still wearing the plain clothes that were left for you at the hotel. Perhaps it's simply vanity, but you don't feel like you command the presence of a captains in this. Also, considering your Kain uses decay, these won't last too long.

> The local tailor has heavy materials that can stand up to the wear you'll produce. And you did always want a cape when you were younger...
> The monastery has fabrics woven with Kain in a way that can conduct the energies of the Cycle. Maybe you can convince the Master to weave up some robes.

How would you guys fix this shit? Has someone already fixed it? For some reason I doubt that Rifts Savage Worlds will ever come out, mostly because of Siembieda.

Personally I wish someone would buy Palladium out right and fully execute a great idea rather than milk it with shitty book #59:the kitchen sink is overflowing.

That will never happen because for some bizarre reason Palladium has a fanbase that will donate money to keep the doors open. Kevvy will likely have to have a donation drive soon because he ran out of kickstarter money and still needs to deliver the second half of Robotech RPG Tactics. Some of the backers are starting legal action against PB.

Let's talk about how certain creature cultures might work.

Actually, let's just talk about about centaur culture could work.

Actually, I just want to know how they can function as intelligent, sentient semi-humanoid people if they can't even bend over to pick things up off the ground. Let's face it, with a shunted upright spine like theirs, there is no way they have the flexibility to avoid snapping their spine in half to try and touch the ground.

Centaurs work better as fey creatures. The logistics of their physical bodies cease to be a problem because fey opperate under their own rules.

There's the idea I remember that was suggested that their torso is as flexible as a horse's neck to facilitate the bending over.

Hear ye, hear ye, I call to order another meeting of the Mage Guild.

This is just a formality, but technically we still need to hold the meeting. We all know about the Chronomancers' fudging with time caused us to have to invoke Guild rule 2314.231, which is to roll back the rules to a prior time before their meddling so no one can influence the guild too much. Unfortunately, this accidentally set us back to when Page 2311, Subpage 3 stated that "all Mages in Good Standing with the Guild must wear Pointed Hats at all Official Occasions. The hats must be brimless." As we all know, four-hundred years ago we amended that to allow brims. We just need a quick vote to re-update the charter. All in favor?

My last three groups were torn apart when two or more people just couldn't let go of whatever hot-button issue we have today. My Pathfinder game fell apart when two otherwise cool guys decided to argue literally the entire night about religion VS atheism (sparked off by some off-handed comment the Rogue made to the Cleric). My regular Magic meetup has shrunk since several people got into it about "SJWs" versus "MRAs". And even my online guild of the MMORPG I play has lost like half its membership when people started slinging shit on the forums and voice chat about the upcoming American elections and just general Conservatism VS Liberalism.

Fuck, whatever happened to "polite conversation?" If you can't discuss a hot topic without things getting heated, whatever happened to just shutting the fuck up and concentrating on the game for the sake of there being a game at all? Are we all just generally sperg enough that we can't pick up on social cues like that and would rather piss everyone off around us so we can prove that we're "right"?

But I guess it doesn't matter. You a butthurt little bitch who came to vent and seek confirmation as you trade stories of shit that never happened with other loosers.

Having some problems with necrons at the moment, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

The cron list usually is:
Lord
Immortals x2 (gauss and tesla squads)
Sypder
Ark
2 cyptex in the immortal squads
Wraiths x3

He'll charge everything at me, keeping the spyder back with the ark; repairing and dropping blast templates.

I play:
CCS (MoO and banner)
2x vet squads with plasma
Leman Russ Executioner with plasma sponsons
Sentinel with plasma
Vendetta
Vindicare assasin

I'm forced to stay back and hug cover, there's little I can do. What can I buy or tactically do to beat his immortal/wraith cuntfucking army?

Ahhh… the first few days of summer, blazing hot sun overhead, inviting everyone out of their homes to enjoy some icecream, climb some trees and work on that tan.

But you, Dash Addams; student extraordinaire, won’t be doing that, now will you? Nope, you’ve been forced into summer school, thanks to a desire to graduate any time soon. You only failed by a little bit, and that’s mostly because the teachers didn’t like you. Mostly.

Of course, the school doesn’t leave the air conditioning running during summer, so instead the comfortably warm heat from outside turns the building into a sweltering over, as you find your way into your classroom.

None of the faces nearby are familiar, all doing their best to fan themselves off with scraps of paper while a skinny looking dude with glasses at the front of the class seems to be doing his best to get an actual electronic fan working, all while he continues wearing a thick looking hoodie.

You take a seat in the middle of class, slumping onto a hand, sweat already tracing its’ way down the back of your neck, as the teacher tells the kid to abandon the fan and get to his desk.

The woman at the head of the class clears her throat, throwing her hair off her neck and opening a few windows, “Good morning class.” She greets, with an attempt at energetic cheer, the sign of a fresh diploma-bearing graduate. All she gets is a chorus of half hearted grunts in return, and one set of angry mutters from some kid wearing a hat in the back. The teacher shrugs it off, accepting it as the best she’ll be getting from a summer school class, and rolls onwards into a remedial maths lesson.
373 posts and 35 images submitted.
>>
The morning draaaags by, and more than once you have to stop writing to clear sweat from your eyes, the room only getting hotter as the day wears on, until the class mercifully breaks for recess. The teacher, Miss Kelli sags into the chair behind her desk, wiping sweat out from under her collar, as you finally get a chance to look around at the others properly.

That kid with the glasses is looking at the fan again, pulling open some panel at the back, and looking between it and his phone. Besides them, there’s a pair of twins behind you, the sister frowning at everyone as she bites into a celery stick, her brother on the… rounder side eating a cookie which looks pretty delicious. There’s two particularly annoyed looking dudes in the back, one of them the angry hat wearer from earlier, the other practicing drumming on his desk and looking out the window in what is probably meant to look really deep mannnn. And finally there’s a scrawny asian kid sitting in the front row right by the teachers desk, who’s still working on math problems between quick bites of something that reeks of soy sauce.

Well… you’ve got no food of your own and nothing better to do…

>Gonna take a leak, screw all these guys.
>See if you can help with the fan.
>Talk with those twins, the brothers got food to spare.

Pic related will not work in either.

Gurps is for autists, BRP is for GMs who know what they're doing. You might want Wushu. Fate could work. But I will venture a guess that your setting is ten pages of fanwankery without structure or genre, so it really doesn't matter. Use D20.

Welcome one, and I welcome you all to the tale of a world called Thespia.

Here is the odyssey of one that clings to this world with no face of their own! In a place where magic is fundamental to all of creation, all who live wear their lives upon their face, where a fire might wish to be the cooking fire of an inn!

Previously the Faceless set boundaries with a clingy Protean foxwoman, letting her know of his role's status as a widowed man. Bereft with guilt, she had begun to flee yet the faceless urged her to stay.

Feeling that the rebels could potentially become a greater fighting force with the right "Allies," The Faceless incites them to seek out pacts, finding the old innkeep, Valce a friend in a simple campfire while the Huntress, Oddette, made do with a far more vicious partner.

As she performed her trial, The faceless assisted Mira in getting her two pacts to work together and let the girl train on her own as he fell into slumber and saw visions of his Face's past.

His old allies and friends under the cloak of night and a young Hylon King by the name of Acer...

What trials shall we overcome? We shall see.

Meditation is a fitful slumber as you struggle with Dramir's sorrows, hatred, and thirst for revenge. As you awaken in your claimed bedchambers, you hear the sounds of a waning day as the Concerto Crickets tune their instruments before their nightly performance. The hustle of the liberated Guisi dies down as you can see through the window, fires built up to burn away the chill of the night and allow the many freed to celebrate as well as remember those that have returned their threads to Thespia.

A deep breath fills your lungs with the crisp smoke of burning wood, uttering a slight cough.

Dramir's gone silent in your heart once more, waiting and watching for the resolution you've offered to his grief.

There's a creak at your back as the door opens, the red-furred ears of Eko peeking in before the rest of her head follows. She looks at you with a vacant animalistic stare for a moment until her eyes come into focus. “Hello there Reaper. Are you feeling well?”

“As well as I might.” You say just a step above a whisper. Her ears flick as they catch your words.
“I'll be leaving tomorrow morning to face the Lord of Bikanel Manor. I've been told that he's a naive, insufferable prat, but we'll see.”

The fox woman meanders further in, her footsteps as gentle as they might be stepping over the freshly fallen leaves of autumn. She starts to reach out as she nears, but she catches your gaze and falters, keeping to herself rather meekly, “It is not the business of we Proteans to interfere in affairs with Thespians in such a way. At best, we like to stay out of the limelight... If I were to accompany...”
>>
>>44289089

“I do not believe that I even began to ask you to ask that you come with us.” You turn more fully, and stare at the fox woman as her ears droop under your scrutiny. “You assisted me, and you saved those children... However you let the others die. I am not sure what to think of if you call that avoiding Thespian disputes.”

“I... am sorry.” Eko nearly mumbles before raising her volume, “Magic of the Thread may be imposing to some, however to a PoP magician like yourself, I am nothing. If only you could smell the concentration of Fate that you pacted Thespians command. If I'd intervened with that Murderer, I'd have died as well. Who would've...”

“I do not need excuses Eko.” You turn away from her, clenching the rim of the window as you consider your choices throughout her imposed silence.
