Separating gods from the setting they preside over is pretty haram. I think it'd be better to just keep the specifics like name, how they're worshipped, and their cult out of it and stick to describing the archetype. Like the idea of a goddess of spring also being goddess of revolution/upheaval or advocating a form of anarcho-primitivism over civilization at all costs.

Anorgash, the God of Nothing.

He was one of the children of the gods that created reality. When his siblings were given domains to govern over he was left without anything to rule over by accident. The picture changes to a view of a busy Vietnamese fishing village; boats of every shape and size, from dirty little scows to brightly painted trawlers to traditional sampans, their characteristic fan-shaped sails handsome and exotic in the breeze as they tried to navigate a harbor absolutely stuffed with anchored vessels. An older, wizened fisherman appears on-screen, his face obscured by a digital distortion. The slick, slightly British accent of the translator follows his gruff words by a half-beat. “People sail out and don't come back. The military flies jets over the ocean all day, but at night the Gulf belongs to them again. Now they guard the rivers, and they tell us to sleep in shelters at night because the monsters shell the coastline. Look at us. Some of these villages float! There is nowhere to hide. Everyone is afraid.”

“But three weeks ago, all that changed.” The camera feed switches to a view of fisherman lined up on their knees in a large group, heads bowed before a hand-made tapestry depicting the silhouette of what looks like a warship. “Fisherman have reported witnessing many violent night battles just offshore; the sound of many guns firing and the muzzle flashes of same.” A grainy picture is shown; depicting little in the way of discernible details, but it does look like the muzzle flashes of a large warship at long distance. “Since the mysterious battles began, there has not been a single successful shelling of the Vietnamese shoreline. The government claims it's due to the stepped-up patrols and improved radar coverage implemented recently, but the fisherman have a different view - one not appreciated by the government.” The camera cuts to a woman this time, her face also pixelated. “It is the Ghost,” she says. “The Spirit, sent as our savior.”

Same system as Become The Dragon Quest. If you don't know what that is, it's best of three d20 rolls. I name a stat that sums up what you're trying to do, and if I don't name a relevant skill, you try to fill in the blank based on what you're trying to accomplish. “Break open the door” might be Strength based, but if you've been playing baseball after school and there's a lead pipe nearby, you could apply your Baseball skill to the roll. A 20 on the die is a crit threat, and if either of the other two rolls is 20 or higher after mods, it's a critical. A crit fail is when you have two or more 1s. So far this system has worked out well enough. We'll get into combat rules as needed, but in basic terms you have wounds, not HP, and the worse the wounds, the more penalties you accrue while doing other things.

Well, for the DM's part, there's "interesting location".

Historically, dungeons were prisons/basements of castles, but in fantasy world dungeons can mean anything from that, to tombs, wizard labs, etc.

I feel like the more interesting types of dungeons would be ones with clear purpose and some of the remaining pieces of its purpose still functional.


For example, an underground alchemy lab would have all kinds of faded and old notes on various experiments that had been in the works that players could try to complete.

In sprawling, abandoned estates, fun might be found in the odd leisure activities some of the household might have partaken in. (like clockwork dolls which, while creepy, could be useful tools to distract enemies)

“The Art of Seduction Enchantment: Sex Magic.” As Eve finishes reading the title of the book Quissonce bolts after her. Eve retreats to jump on the bed while opening the book to the first few pages.

“So we have charm person here, well that one isn't too scandalous.” Quissonce gives an exasperated scream as she reaches after to grab at Eve. Eve, still on the defensive, jumps off the foot of the bed and slides under the crawlspace beneath her bed. Quissonce gets on her hands and knees and reaches in for her, but Eve has managed to scoot her way away from any reaching hands.

“Hmmm, we have anything better in here.” You hear Eve say at full blast to make sure you can still hear her from her defensive position. Quissonce starts to look around the room frantically. “Oh look, what is this? Seducer's Eyes! That looks like a fun one.”

Quissonce has now managed to cast her 'hit Eve with a broom' spell and is stabbing the gnomish sorcerer with the bristly end, ruining her sanctuary.

Eve scurries out under the front of the bed and dashed behind Quissonce, barely avoiding her grasp as she gets up off her knees to resume the chase. Eve runs around the central table and hides behind you for a second as she hums, flipping through the pages. “Ooooooh. Unnatural Lust? How unnatural are we talking here Quissonce?” Eve steps out from behind you holding the book as Quissonce dashes over and finally grabs it from Eve's hands. Quissonce quickly inspects it for damages before using it as a cudgel to hit Eve multiple times.

Quissonce then turns to look at you, the blush on her face reaching Eve's hair levels of red. “I am not a pervert.”

Yes, we were part of the Mafia, and they wanted to torture one of our men, so not a big deal.

The handsome guy who was supposed to be our first rival didnt have nice time, though. But as our Master said, "what is left of him as important reasons to became our Main Anthagonist".

Not yet but as a druid I intend to use the spell that infests a person with maggots when the time comes. It will have to be in regards to finding my friends if they are kidnapped or if the forest is in danger or something.
