>Cosplayers gain powers themed around whatever they cosplayed as.
How do you balance this from a lore perspective?
How do you explain cosplayers not ruining everyone else's shit?
>>44369059
You don't. All one person needs to do is pretend to be power man and... boom.
They're the best.
If there were a set list of ancient heroes and by donning armor made to resemble the armor of the ancient heroes you could use a fraction of their power...
Well that's basically a refluffed cleric actually who wears their divine symbol. Still more workable.
>>44369096
Good thing Power Man doesn't exist.
>>44369059
The costume confers power equal to its resemblance to the source material.
Still not that balanced, but it's better.

Oh Jesus this card sounds gross with Undying. I might have to build that now.
First for should I convert my Rakdos List to French EDH?
What got me thinking is that I was able to use it to outspeed and beat an uber-competative Daretti deck at my LGS a couple of days ago(twice, in 1v1 and multiplayer). And he was using plenty of fast mana not even legal in French. I also was able to push through a turn 4 tanglewire+sculpting steel.
The only card not legal in french in my list anyways is Sensei's Divining Top. I could probably replace it with Scroll Rack or Emrakul.

Marks are a side-effect of Tzeentch's Curse already, aren't they? Except you're supposed to roll, but I get why the GM pick might be a better choice with the current tables.
I just think that the chance of getting marks are too low and too random. Narratively and thematically, all wizards are affected by arcane marks, and it doesn't appear to be nearly as random as it seems to be in WHFRP2/Realms of Sorcery.
You could conceivably be a Journeyman Wizard with absolutely zero arcane marks, or even (although unlikely) a Wizard Lord. Imagine a Bright Wizard Magister without bright tattoos, flaming hair, hot skin, or bright orange beard.

The slums are as dark as you had expected, with the massive stone slab of the Commercia above your heads. Unlike Shropham there is no magic to emulate the light of the sun, merely plentiful torches and magically fuelled lanterns lining the streets and buildings. The buildings are packed in close, forming winding streets with countless corners, boltholes and hiding places. Normally you’d be comfortable here, having spent many a night finding simple lodgings in the holes of otherwise good cities. Being quick with a sword and capable of ostentatious magic marks you as far too much trouble.
Except now you can’t help but think of these streets as being full of vampires. You know you’re likely being paranoid but it’s something you can’t shake. Maloric certainly shares your opinion.
“Did we come here looking for a fight?” he asks, glancing at what appears to be a tavern, except with blacked out windows and a large blood stain on its front door. You’d seen a little too much blood in these streets for your liking, making you even more worried.
“The foundry is here. I’m curious as to how it’s managing,” you say.
>continued
>>44294516
It doesn’t take you long to find, as the foundry can be seen from all around. From a distance it appears as a massive square column stretching down from the Commercia. Those are the immense walls that guard one of the city’s most treasured facilities. An enormous highway runs past it, through the slums and towards the edges of the city. You avoided it due to increasing the risk of encountering hostiles but as you stare at the front of the foundry you realise just how large the highway itself is – built large enough to support three carriages abreast. Plenty of trade must come through here, you think. Probably to avoid having to go through the Commercia and pay a toll.
It’s not the road that really draws your attention. It’s the massive wrought iron gates at the front. Gates which appear to have been blown open, judging from the massive black scarring and warped frame. You can hear noise inside with your enhanced hearing, the shouts of people and the clatter of combat. There’s definitely a major battle inside. You…
>1. Charge in to (hopefully) help the Vitrian defenders.
>2. Watch around you for signs of reinforcements or a trap before cautiously approaching the gates.

Harder just shrugs noncommitally as you and Jintsuu exchange a glance. "You look like shit," he offers helpfully.
"True, you do," Jintsuu says, wiping a streak of blood off your forehead with her gloved finger. You ignore her, feeling a faint heat in your face at Harder's intrusion. Why now, of all times? ...Jintsuu doesn't miss it, looking back and forth between you as a catlike smirk starts to blossom. Oh no. "You should probably get looked at. Harder-san, can you help patch Naka up?"
What.
Harder takes a long sip, slurping a little at the end as he drains the cup, before tossing it over his shoulder and bouncing it off the wall. "Enh, sure."
WHAT. "Well--why not you?" you sputter, stabbing a finger at Jintsuu accusingly, trying to glare the sloppy grin off her face. "You've done it before!"
"Sorry, Naka," Jintsuu replies as she sets her portrait aside, pulling herself up. "I'm indisposed."
"You're standing RIGHT HERE," you seethe.
Jintsuu just beams, walking over to the window and sliding it open as she manifests her fitout. "I leave my sister in your care, Harder," she says merrily, before hopping right out the third floor.
Harder raises an eyebrow as the tremor of her landing runs faintly through the wall and floor. "That was interesting."
"What even is anything, anymore?" you murmur quietly.
"Iunno. Come on, this way."
You try not to fidget as Harder pulls a white plastic first aid kit from a high shelf (after a few hops to reach it), wincing as you see yourself in the harsh glare of flourescent lighting.
You really did a number on yourself these past few days. With your gloves stripped off, the clumsy patchwork of bandages around your hands feels even thicker now that they're exposed. Your shirt is torn, a bruised collarbone on display, and Jintsuu's slaps (and punches) have redoubled the swelling in your cheek that was just starting to go down.
Have a vaguely inspirational picture.

>Opening with a brief update on recent politics
You keep your silence, looking over the map and considering the situation. Taour had previously been a relatively weak city-state – the city itself had been nearly completely destroyed in the first Magi Rebellions some twenty years ago. Since it had been rebuilt it had been controlled by vampires and, for reasons beyond your understanding, nobody had intervened to deal with them. Now it had conquered the city of Darlesia to the south and appeared to have somehow broken through the Vitrian defensive line to seize their capital.
“Sorry to ask this,” Gnome says, breaking the silence, “but this map has a few differences to twenty years ago. What exactly is the Magi League, as I doubt it has much in common with the original League from five hundred years ago?”
Your eyes run over the nearby superpowers, the Magi League and the Royal Seraphi Kingdom. “The Magi League formed eight years ago, when the Archmage Alyce of Lyss deposed the King of Ahm and the second Magi rebellions began.”
“Mmm, so little Alyce is an archmage now,” Gnome mutters. “I take it that the RSK has expanded its territory as part of their conflict with them?”
“More or less,” Cormann says. “The two powers have been in constant war for the last eight years. Valuable fodder for a mercenary company like ourselves, but it makes things harder as an upstart nation.”
You understood what he was getting at. Right now one of the easiest ways to gain more power to defeat Taour was to ally yourself with one of those superpowers. Unfortunately, if they were tied up in a war they wouldn’t spare you much and would expect your assistance in your war once you’ve finished up here.
“I find it difficult to believe that this Magi League would be so caught up in its war that it would ignore a vampiric city-state enslaving enormous numbers of people,” Gnome says with a frown.
>continued
>>44287261
“They’ve got support from with the League, according to what I’ve heard,” Maloric says. “Shropham has always been the black sheep of the League, but it’s powerful and appears to be providing clandestine support for the vampires. I understand they’re the reason the Guard aren’t intervening.”
Clicking your tongue, you look further north on the map. The Mage Guard was an odd nation, as you’d learnt in your youth in Balkarin. Although the cities and province were theoretically independent, the Guard controlled the military, set foreign policy and influenced just about every noble in their territory. Despite the name, they were all about controlling mages, destroying monsters such as spirit beasts and providing assistance to the archangels in defending the Barrier of Marie that stretched across the Magi Line mountains.
“If we’re going to ask for help, why don’t we try recruiting without getting an entire nation involved?” Ser Lynn asks, tilting his ask as he looks at you. “Surely there would be mages and knights who would rather destroy the vampiric threat than fight one another?”
“There’s also mercenaries,” Cormann says. “We know a few, and I imagine you know a few too. They’re likely receiving a fair bit of pay from the League and the Seraphs, particularly with the League beginning a new offensive, but we’ve got enough sequestered away that we could afford to pay them as much.”
The other alternative is to contact some of your ‘friends’ in the Guard, see if you can get some unofficial help. You’d rather not draw attention to yourself that way, however.
>continued
>>44287281
The other issue was this Lady Terce. “Do we have any idea how this Terce could thrall so many soldiers at once?” you ask your officers, referring to the ability of daywalker vampires to form mental control over others.
“I recognise the name but know little of her abilities,” Malaine says, glancing at his fellow Darlesian officers. “I know that Darlesian intelligence was in contact with the monks based in Farun, so perhaps they might know something?”
Your other officers mention their own ideas for intelligence: Maloric mentions a young RSK noble recently given land north of Worremburg; Gnome mentions the mages of Ahm. You even think of the Guard.
Still, you’re at a point where you need to make a decision. You don’t have to try to retake Vitria from the vampires at this point, but the longer you wait the more they will solidify their hold. Darlesia must be undermanned by the vampires to compensate for this new invasion. You could even ignore the situation – Taour hadn’t made any declaration of war (not that they would need to, given you’re not a real nation). If you threw your lot in with the RSK or League you could try something completely different.
>Strategic plans discussion
