Are there currently any quests that revolve around sailing and pirating? I remember a few decent ones that started up and promptly faded away as most do a while back.
>>44514552
>When will you move to another site?
I tried, it was terrible.
>Are you getting sick of /a/ quests?
If I was sick of something I would stop playing it.
Tiresome troll OP, just tiresome.

How often do you rewrite your scenario mid-thread?
>New Player Question
What is the best quest that you follow with the smallest number of followers? Why do you think they have so few?
Pic unrelated.

QM: Never. Unless I decide to do a quest on Gurochan.
PQ: Nope.
Funny thing about East Asia style quests: Polygamy was actually a thing. It was fairly common for powerful individuals to have multiple wives.

Guess I've got a bone to pick with her.
>>44513949
Well, that's puts her earlier talk about "wanting to raise kids with me" into a whole new perspective.
>>44513949
Well, we did talk about bringing a few friends into the bedroom.
I guess this is one way to add some life back into our marriage.
So a friend mentioned the idea of a Jojo's bizarre adventure campaign, what the hell would that even look like? Regular people would be laughable with a stand at your side, but stands themselves are intricate and all have special rules. Would need some sort of weak mass production stand to work as enemy for random encounters
>>44513804
I had a friend who ran a JoJo game in Fate. He said it went well, as did his players.
I have no experience with either, so I can't really advise.
Got you covered Anon.
Enemy Stand User is a tattoo artist and he gives his followers tattoos that give them weak/limited Stand Power.
I realize Tattoo You is already taken but I still think it's up your alley.
>>44513804
JoJo does not have throwaway encounters. Every encounter should be meaningful, every opponent one-of-a-kind. It's better to think of a session in terms of what kind of unusual opponent will players face , a monster-of-the-week type scenario, rather than usual D&D roadtrip.
To pace the campaign you could add dangerous situations with no antagonist and no way to just punch through a problem. But no mooks and no "oh here are random orcs, roll for initiative."
Explain yourselves Rules Lawyers
>>44513476
Rules exist for a reason.
>>44514153
But clearly some things were misrepresented in the rules
Explain THIS!
Are your kobolds, cute, ugly, or other?
>>44511953
Ugly, the little bastards are infatuated with technology. Whether found in the wild or with orcs, Kobolds are almost always accompanied or working in some way with gremlins. Both of which cause more damage to machines than good. Doesn't keep them from being the only creature in the Orcish armies from being cunning enough to design machines, curiously enough they have excellent memories, capable of taking apart and putting machines back together almost perfectly. When taught to write, Kobolds are known to write schematics of things they've taken apart. Kobolds are the only race that won't get torn apart by a pack of Gremlins, no one really knows why.
Pic related is a Kobold from the Orcish armies, part of a Coughing Squad, known for their use of dangerous chemicals and gases. They're known to use Gremlins to lure soldiers out of their trenches or fortifications into the toxic fumes.
Both, in their own special way.

Normalbolds in normal games.
No need for ugly. Goblins fill 'ugly, evil, contraptions' fine, no need for doublestacking.

Hey all, I know that RPGs are supposed to be about who you are and not what you are, but I think that in DnD (or at least AD&D 2.0 which I play) the differences between races are almost non-existent. I actually pulled this graph out of my anus, but I think it is a relatively accurate representation of upper body strength in human males and females. Aside from the weakest men and strongest women, men are always stronger than women. If there were several different races, ranging form the bulky half-orcs to the smaller halflings and gnomes, imagine what these graphs would look like for things like strength, constitution, intelligence, dexterity.... etc.
Has any official or homebrew system applied sci-fi racial stats to an otherwise fantasy game? It might seem autistic, but it always bugged me that you could have a halfling with more strength than a human.
>>44511689
I'm going to need a source for that chart. Also, actual percentages on the left side, and some objective measure of upper body strength along the bottom.
You know, so the chart actually demonstrates whatever your ignorant point actually is.
While I'm waiting, here's a troll.
>>44512252
>I'm going to need a source for that chart.
OP told us that it came from his ass.
a sedentary woman is about the same strength as a sedentary man
once you get into actual strength training or sports, THEN there will be a large disparity, where a woman who's trained 2 years will be about the same as a guy who's trained 6 months.
but obviously this is a troll thread because your chart is implying the strongest women in the world can't outlift the average male

Why is FATE such shit? The aspects were a cool idea but honestly the rest of the game is such shit that the only other redeeming factor is the cool bad-ass four-armed gorilla dude in the core book. Other than that, it's all shite.
Is there a single reason to play this game or should I throw it in the trash like I'm already planning to?

“Hecatel, listen up.” Liza asks. A brief quiet falls over the room; only the heartbeat of the technology surrounding you can be heard before she continues. “Do you know of a guild called Freakshow, or of a man named Anaximander?”
“Yes, in fact.” The Queen smiles. “Someone by that name was in my court not too long ago. An interesting one, assuming we’re speaking of the same man: very forward-thinking, with a number of ideas I can only call peculiar. Whether or not I agree with any of them, I’m still mulling over, but…”
“Listen to me carefully: he cannot be trusted at any cost.” Liza hisses, pushing her way past you and Kainzo to take center stage before the projector screen. “I need to know what he told you.”
“You are Liza, of the Crimson Guardians?” Hecatel asks. “I was given specific instruction not to tell you.”
“Consider this, Hecatel. If you choose to make him your ally, I won’t be held responsible for my actions.” She’s having trouble keeping herself under control; her hands are balled into tight fists, and you think you can hear Crimson Wings beginning to warm up. “The rest of my Alliance will fall in behind me—even if you really are royalty.”
>>44507775
“Relax, girl.” The Queen shrugs her off. “Perhaps you might better persuade me in person to break my little oath with him. But if you believe you’re going to do it by force, you are sadly mistaken. Now, Averron: as we speak, my Regent is at work organizing maps, blueprints, and other relevant information that might be of use to you. We’ll be in touch in the coming days—once your Guardian has had time to cool off—should you desire to make contact so we might begin our journey to the surface together. For now, though, farewell, and best of luck in your endeavors…”
The line abruptly cuts, her video transmission fading away with the sweep of a vertical scan line.
“I think we’ve seen all we need to know that our sister cities are incompetent at best and enemies at worst.” Liza says, turning toward the exit. She pauses, then addresses Andor and Ayla. “I think it’s important that we finalize the Alliance merger before we put the excavation plans back into motion. The message boards are back online—that means watch them. I’m calling for a meeting soon, to discuss the upcoming merger, and the question of our foreign policy.”
“Great,” Andor says. “Sven will be happy to hear it, and I’m sure the rest of our officers will too. I’ll tell him to get a hold of you.”
“Yeah,” Ayla says, “Fantastic.”

> [[ Underground: Averron Observatory // Neutral Territory // PVP Disabled ]]
You’re on one of the upper terraces. Still quiet, but information abuzz on the message boards means civilians will be here any minute. Andor, Kainzo, and Dorian are gone, while Ayla is presumably still in the communications room. Through an external window, you catch a glimpse of Liza flying straight upward, toward the higher branches. Upset seems like an understatement. Your body feels sluggish for some reason.
> Ayla and Liza are online.
> Smith, Vision, Donnel, Vyx, Nel, Tatsumaki, and Aelriss are offline.
What will you do?

Hey there /tg/
I had an idea for a civ quest, and want to give it a try.
Heres the deal, you got a pick between two either Golems, living atop and inside a large mountain
Or Fey living in the walls of a Castle
OR!
You could pick both, having them live together in a place of your own choosing!
3 votes wins.
For this civ, you will get 2 actions per turn, and I will roll for these 2 actions on my desk.
So, lets get the ball rolling.
>>44507435
Hey guy. I would vote to play both bc it sounds good but if anyone feels like choosing I would go with fey
>>44507435
Golems are more exciting IMO. Self replication through arcane arts and elements, fuck yeah.
>>44507435
Golems, but only if we're explicitly Jewish.
Are you satisfied with your FLGS? What do they do wrong? What do they do right?
My FLGS looks pretty awesome, it's in Houston. It has a pleasant mixed staff of 20 something men and women that are relaxed and not weird. The owners are husband and wife and keep it clean and tidy and stocked with all sorts.
There is a huge game room too that I've not even peeked inside of, always has sounds of laughter and enjoyment coming from it.
>tfw every time I've gone in I've been buying a gift for my nephew who loves this stuff.
>tfw I just want to hang around and play any sort of tabletop game

>tfw neither the guy nor the girl would look me in the eye when I desribed what I wanted.
>tfw I just want to be invited to play.
>tfw I want to go in and join in the adventure.
8th Dimension Comics? Any Houstonbros?
>>44507339
Do you look THAT scary Anon? Guy sounds like a pussy, you look your customers in the eye.
Best FLGS in Tucson is Isle of Games. They've got more of a general board game focus than the other ones around, which all seem to rely on just Warhammer and Magic.
The only thing they're really lacking is that they haven't managed to get a Netrunner night going yet. I hear they have something in the works though.
