I did the "magic is science" thing, so "mages" are just scholars, machinists, and alchemists making use of fantasy chemicals and technology that muggles just can't understand without the same number of college credits. Much of the setting revolves around applications of monster blood, such that it's the primary ingredient of my fantasy black powder and critical to all explosives and firearms. It also factors heavily into miraculous potions and alchemical concoctions. Some mages are fusiliers and grenadiers, some are medics and doctors, and some try to do both or something different entirely.
Respect, fear, hatred, and training conventions all depend on location in the world. Some countries don't trust or like magic, some love it, and most are selective about what sciences they approve of and what they don't. Magic plays a very important role in adventuring and monster hunting due to monster blood being so important to scientific progress. Mages abuse their power just as much as anyone else. Some go to great lengths to achieve scientific marvels beyond the status quo, while others are very responsible.
So, as far as your standard "read a book, shoot fire out of my hands" wizards, no I don't have any of those.

Okay guys, help me out.
I plan on introducing my group to the gameworld by playing. My idea is an adventure similar to In 80 Days around the World. Something about a rivalry between two Neolybians wich involves lots of traveling. But where do they start? What are the objectives of the players? How can I involve them?

It is busy and quiet in the dark of the night as you explain what you’ve scouted ahead within the bowels of the under construction Ellis building in Adachi City. Flanked by your Knights, with the Guardian of the Sun standing a slight ways back, you carefully regard the assembled soldiers and civilian collaborator. Captain Osaka of the JSDF Paranormal Incident Task Force listens with rapt attention as you point out along the maps provided by property owner Jonathan Ward Chau of the underground complex and described exotic materials testing planned with the operational particle accelerator.

But TTRPGs? You're basically playing cooperative make believe. Most people grew out of the "nuh-uh I have super special anti-bullet shield I can deflect anything" by 5th grade. I like the Bodyguard -> Take the Blow featline, since you already have Combat Reflexes.
You may wish to take Seize the Opportunity from the PoW:E playtest, but I think my reading of things is that you can already use most combat maneuvers (trip, disarm, etc) as an AoO.
If you're going full Intimidate, then I suggest taking Signature Skill (Intimidate). Combine that with Grim Guard's Laughter and you stand a decent chance of making your opponents run away while peeing their pants.

Depends on the time for level of protection.
But generally you would be lucky to have armor. Mistakes are not as deadly, and you are invulnerable to blades in most areas. Maces hurt you the same, but they are slow weapons compared to the sword you would probably carry, so you still have advantage.

You're asking in the very wrong place. Try /his/ or something, instead. That said, full plate armour was effective enough for knights to reliably survive on the front lines of battle. Nobles sons and hiers would vie for glory by participating in major battles, and the plate armour they wore give them very little chance of actually being wounded or killed.
Really, the effectivness of plate armour was the primary influence for people adopting bludgeoning weapons, and the rise in popularity of long, thin, straight swords in the late 1600s, such as the estoc, rapier and the smallsword.
Basically, all parts of your body covered by the metal are totally impervious, except to powerful bludgeoning attacks. You still have to watch out for bladed weapons finding their way into the gaps in your armour, however, but as you can see in your picture, armour became very proficient at preventing that.

Alright fuck me I'm having trouble figuring out what to do with the Manifestations.
I wanted five Unlocks for each Key, but even ignoring the more difficult Keys, that seems harder than expected. Meanwhile I could do like Werewolf and each one is one and one, but that seems a bit too low, since most of the Manifestations couldn't be covered in just one power.
Maybe I should scrap the existing Manifestations and try to break them out into different ones? Werewolf has like 20 Gifts with 5 powers each.
The other option is some Manifestations with two or three powers each and some with six or seven.

Am I the only one who feels that monks in D&D 5e seem a little weaker than the other classes. We had a half-orc monk in our party once that seemed to always get fucked in every single fight we had and I personally have played one once as a dwarf on a seperate occasion, while I fared better than the half-orc i feel like I was a tad weaker than the rest of my party. (granted these were low level parties)
What are your experiences with playing monk in 5e, /tg/?

It seems like monks tend be shitty at low level but get progressively better as they level. Another thing, they substitute magic weapons and armor for abilities. Which the dm can't hand out freely so they can't get any sort of dm fiat going for me.
They are worse at the sheer damage output than fighters, but they're more mobile and have a few more combat options, and less equipment reliant. Additionally, at level 17, Open Hand monks get the only player-available save-or-die that is also an extremely heavy damage spike even if they save. Though that is a late game blessing.
Plus the very first level, they get two attacks a round, a d8 and d4 (versatile quarterstaff + martial arts), without having to lock themselves into dual wielding.
Just a yugioh question
So for synchro summoning, can I synchro summon right away? For instance can I synchro summon a synchro monster on the same turn that I put the tuner out?
I'm having a hard time finding this answer. From what I've read, "You must have a tuner monster on the field and then one or more non tuners on the field, whose total levels are equal to the levels of the Synchro monster you are attempting to Synchro Summon."
See how this is confusing?
I always thought you could synchro summon right away. Like on the same turn you put your tuner monster out. My friend said that I can't, and I have to wait at least a turn like when i'm tribute summoning a monster.
I just started playing again after a few years of not playing, so i'm not 100 percent on all the newer rules yet.

Your friend has no idea what he's talking about, as long as you have a tuner and another monster whose levels add up to the synchro monster's level you can synchro summon. That monster is considered to have been special summoned.
